@bulee: The EPIC bosses are hidden. They do not appear until you finish all the threats on a certain mission AND deploy a certain hero. For instance, in Chapter 4 Mission 4, you go in and do all the missions and deploy Storm when they ask you to. Once all the missions (including the boss) are defeated, a new mission will appear with Magneto.

@powder: With Sabertooth, I used Wolverine with Mr. Fantastic as support. Used distract to keep him missing me and then used Digital Decoy then bled him to death since he couldn't hit my heroes. You might need to use some healing as needed early on when he does hit you and use coagulator to get rid of bleed (which really hurts). Eventually, when you're at a point where he can't hit your heroes, he will eventually just die (the bleeding with ravage will negate Sabertooth's healing and he will miss you with his attacks). Hope this helps.

To make clear - the more stars on a mission the tougher the Epic Boss? So if I am going for an Epic Drop do the mission, fight the boss and if I don't get it, Abort the Mission instead of exiting the map?

Second, this seems like a PAIN - what drops are worth it for those of you who have them?

EVERY level the fights are harder when you go up in stars, the difference is epic bosses match your lvl at a 5 star if you are farming weapons, but really what you wanna do is get to 5 stars and move on, 1 star=250 silver, 2star=1000, 3=100xp, 4=1 goldbar, 5=5 command points

If you wanna farm the rare weapon from the epic boss, I suggest you get to 4 stars and if you dont get the item after you beat the boss, abort the mission and start over, so you stay at 4 stars

I think in 3-5 you need to deploy Spider-Man now, not Black Widow.
on Chapter 6-3 is Doc Ock. This time you need to deploy Black Widow.

Any chance you'd be willing to put pics of the other items up? I'm trying to make up my mind which hero I want to get next and that might just make a difference in my decision.

I have finished all missions and deployed Black Cat when asked to - still Electra haven't appeared?


Edit: Haven't deployed scrapper. Next time when I did that deploy she showed.

Keep in mind that you will need to finish ALL the threats/missions before the Epic Boss will appear.

This isn't really useful, but I saw the Epic Boss while I still had the Boss left to finish. (The boss is worth doing for the chance at command points) I do them in this order, because I forgot to kill the epic boss once after killing the boss while farming.

That is an error then, after doing all deploys, and missions, beating the boss and mini-boss/bosses the epic boss will appear only on some levels. I think either you arn't doing all the deploys, maybe you have to fight the boss and miniboss at the same time (I always do) or the game is glitching if you arn't getting the epic boss, and in the event you are getting the epic boss fight before everything is done, super for you, but that is an error.

Forgive my stupidity.....but let's say that you already have 2-3 stars for a particular mission within a chapter and during your multiple visits to that one mission you DID NOT deploy every time.......does that negate your chances of unlocking the EPIC bosses for that chapters mission if that's the mission in which the EPIC boss appears? lol

Not being stupid lol, that is legit. I fought elektra on my first run through, got a 2 star off the bat. I forgot about her and when getting the 5 star finished everything and she started to appear. It is each run through.

So if on the second star you dont deploy, or beat every mission, when going for the 4th star deploy and beat everything and the epic boss shall indeed still appear. I have every mission up to chapter 4 mission 5 5 star (Also havn't 5 stared the premiums) they will appear if you do all you need to.

for lvls with epic bosses beat everything, for lvls with no epic bosses dont bother with blues or medium missions if you dont have to, saving that energy to go again can yield more points by ratio and more rewards from beating bosses/command points from fighting bosses/reg guys after you reach 4 stars.

Epic Boss appears all the time as long as you have the characters listed in the first page:

For example, if you want to see an Epic Boss Magneto, all you have to do is the following:
1) Unlock Chapter 4-4
2) Recruit Storm
3) Complete all the deploy missions in Chapter 4-4
4) Kill all enemies in the chapter 4-4 (including the boss)

Result: Epic Boss will appear

So basically it doesnt matter what you do in a mission, as long as you follow the steps above you will get the Epic Boss.
