Playdom can really stand to learn a thing or two from its competitors. Another game I play was experiencing technical difficulties for LESS THAN ONE DAY and they gave us 25 of their in game "Favor Points" for FREE. The players did not have to like a post a million times or do any silly thing they just did it for us because they know they screwed up and wanted to apologize for it.
What do we get from Playdom when they are experiencing "technical difficulties" and countless screw ups for several months? 3 crappy guns, a lame ass excuse for a "customer (appreciation)" week, a new forum representative that only uses universal responses, and the distinct feeling that the inevitable end is near. Hell, atleast buy us breakfast after you are done screwing us.
EDIT: OR better yet, sell the game rights for m2 to one of your competitors, at least they will do it justice and make it fun again.
