I very much dislike the idea that bps will be required to finish some crafting items. I actually liked crafting and didn't mind the bonuses. Now there are no bonuses AND you are charging to complete crafts? How is that better?

As for the rest of it, I'm on the fence. I guess I'll have to wait and see it when it comes out. The storyline certainly sounds interesting. I like the mystery aspect of it. I hope there is a lot of purchasable cash glam this time, since crafting is going to cost bps. I'm glad philanthropy is coming back, as I really enjoyed that last time.

As long as they have more glam for sale than Casablanca did (THAT was a joke!)

If the majors are any indication of the "tasks" that are to come, I am not excited. I also want to know since it isn't event mastery anymore and only completing tasks 1x, do we still have the chance to earn boarders, skill points by doing this SA?
This is one thing I would NOT be surprised to see in the SLIGHTEST. I would even be willing to bet money that this is implemented.

And the BP's alotment better be in GOOD SUPPLY PD, because I will NOT spend MY money on purchasing BP's to do a craft. But that is wishful thinking too, since you couldn't even make the drop rates on the NECESSARY items decent.

Pffft, you honestly think that will happen considering that 'some' crafts will require BP's to finish? My guess is that it is just as low, if not lower, than Casa.

Yeah, Im real negative about this I know. I just don't have any hope for this SA.
On the potential death of Mobsters: do they realise that once this games destroyed these people will soon move on to other hosted apps like sorority life etc?

I have a feeling this is going to be the winner in terms of making me stop playing.

The dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, to make it possible.

This is crazy! I like reaching mastery levels. And, I'm in agreement with everyone else, it the "tasks" is anything like Majors, I'm gonna' be one PO'd player. I didn't mind the crafting aspect of the last two SA's, but not to REQUIRE that the crafting items use BP's is beyond logical. What about the players that can't afford to buy PB's?? And, the crafting of the items will be tied into the tasks that need to be completed in order to earn your reward(s). I must admit that I liked philanthropy better than fighting challenges, but to take away mastery levels, since this is the precedent for the game, is ludicrous! If I hadn't already invested many years and a lot of money playing this game, I might just abandon playing the game.

Yep, sounds like majors to me which I absolutely hate so sounds like its going to suck. I am so aggrvated with the majors I gave up after 2 classes. I hear you have to get 500 votes, I can barely get 50. Screw this

If I say my real thoughts about London I would be banned. So I'm just going to say is Thank you Playdom for thinking with dollar signs in your eyes. I hope you enjoy the loss of loyal players. Why don't you just make these Study Aboards for VIPs if you want players to blow hard earned BPs to get crappy glam with crappy stats

I don't think so. The crafting to spend bps to finish is just option, just like LE Glam, Fortune Wheel.
I don't know why people get mad about this change.
They act as if this is the first time bps is required to do something in SL

Bleh. Everything sounds awful except for the storyline. And BPs for crafting?? PD, this might just be what finally loses you all of your long-term players.

I think everyone is jumping to conclusions. Spreading the mis-information like wildfire.
1.) No where in her post does it say that crafting will be required to finish the Study Abroad.
2.) The post says SOME of the crafting items will require brownie points. That doesn't mean all or even most of them.

I, for one, will hold my criticism for when it actually opens. It seems that whenever they DO give us a heads up on upcoming features, people are so quick to find any and every fault possible. Why borrow trouble? Wait to see if there really are issues before making them.

Lastly, OF COURSE the developers are going to work Brownie points events/activities into the game, the entire purpose of this game is to make them money not just provide free entertainment for us.
