Apparently they did just that, the red flowers were a limited gift item, you could only get them as a gift from a friend and they were recently replaced with the yellow rose pots. Hopefully they will come up with something to replace them or re-release them in another way.

I have reminded people in my neighbors group not to sell all of the items they get as gifts as not all are available to buy, red flowers is only one of a few I noticed has been discontinued.

There was also the bunny topiaries in the past for the limited Easter items too. So those, plus the red flowers, and I'm sure eventually the yellow flower pots will have no chance to buy once they are removed. That's why like Carol says, I keep about 100 of each at least in my inventory just in case, lol.

You planning your own version of the Rose Bowl parade????? With 100 pots of flowers you could do at least one float, if not more. I can donate about 100 pots of blue flowers to the cause.

Have kept about 20-30 red and blue flowers (in case I want to expand my American flag)...those "yellow rose flower pots" look like chit to me...no offense to my neighbors who gift them to me, but I sell them off as soon as I get 'em...

i can understand if they removed easter limited bunny, it was solo item, but red flowers r part of collection.
it is not end of the world, but it is really stupid to remove one piece of collection.
limited items r stupid idea by itslef.
if no other way, they could put them to be buyable for gold, but, once again, most stupid move they did in game.
what is the point in byuing any other of those collection itmes when u know u will miss one of them.

The red flowers were a really new item and were never part of a regular collection (same with the blue flowers that can't be purchased). For most of this game's life we didn't have them. They were never a sale item so to expect them to change from limited to a purchase would be different than the game has ever done and not likely. I can understand not liking they are gone though.
