~Forum Rules- [Paraphrased-Please read!]

To all new forum members and existing forum members, this thread is explaining that it is extremely important that we study and understand the forum rules in order to become a successful community member. That being said, we have to do our part as community forum members too fully understand and have full knowledge of our forum rules being applied to us. This thread is another copy of the existing rules created by Playdom Community Manager, Catstronaut. Here is the link for people who did not know:

The reason I am reapplying the forum rules is for the new members, also existing ones, is to have a better concept of what the rules really define and stand for. This is just an interpretation and paraphrased lettering for you to obtain a better concept and understanding of the forum rules. All fellow community members, please study the forum rules, have fun and enjoy the community, and lastly have respect for one another. A better community equals a stronger community. Now to understand the rules I have paraphrased each rule so you can have a better interpretation of the existing rules. Please read along and mesmerize each rule in order to be a great poster.

• Do not post any obscene or inappropriate language; including hateful, threatening, racist, sexist or homophobic speech or imagery
  This rule states that you should not post any curse words or hateful words that can offend someone or a group. Curse words, hateful words, threatening words, or any other types of language will not be tolerated and should never be posted.

• Do not post derogatory comments or attacks against other people or groups
  This rule explains that you should never post derogatory comments or attacks against other people or groups (i.e. race, religion) with disrespectful, offensive language. This will not be tolerated no matter how mad you may be.

• Do not post nudity, overtly sexual images or speech, and hate symbols of any kind.
  This rule states that we should not share links, post sexual pictures/images, or use signs of hate symbols amongst our forum members. It is disgusting and inappropriate to share outrageous pictures or hate symbols on the forum.

• Please use the search or tag search before posting. Chances are a thread or post already exists. If you can't find what you need then feel free to post.
  This rule states that you should always use the search feature before you create a thread. Reason you need to understand this rule is in order to avoid making threads of the same topic. If the thread does not exist then you are absolutely welcome to create a thread applying to your topic of choice.
  
  

• Please create new threads in the appropriate forum, and use a descriptive title. Thread locations and titles may be changed by the staff to more accurately reflect the topic being discussed
  This rule states that when you make threads, you have to post in the appropriate sub-forum. It is convenient and saves time for the moderators with not needing to move threads to their appropriate sub-forums. Also your title may be changed if it has coherence difficulties; Better coherency, more better the topic will be discussed.

• Do not make repeated or nearly identical posts. Spam will not be tolerated. Also, be advised that posting randomly for the sake of raising post count will also not be tolerated!
  This rule states that you need to avoid making repeated or identical posts someone might have already posted. Spam is not accepted so don’t spam. Also raising post count just for the sake of it will not be tolerated. This is not a race and competition so don’t raise post count by posting pointless posts.
  
  

• Do not advertise or promote non Playdom sanctioned games, services, referrals, contests, websites or commercial enterprises.
  This rule states that you are not allowed promote other companies, sources, websites, and games that are not related to Playdom. In other words do not promote other games or promote sales of other companies such as Zynga, etc.

• Do not promote illegal or adult 18+ substances or activities; including illicit drugs, prostitution, alcohol, and tobacco. Discussion is permitted only in regards to in-game content, this is the only exception.
  This rule states that you are not to promote or discuss illegal substances (drugs) and activities. In other words do not talk about illegal drugs nor talk about topics that can be inappropriate, such as prostituting and selling drugs. The only time we can mention 18+ materials is when the game relates to the situation

• Do not post social network ID numbers within the forum body unless asked to by a moderator or Playdom Community Manager. Please keep all social network ID numbers within your forum profile details or signature.
  This rule states that you are not allowed to post your personal social networks ID numbers. Examples are your Facebook page and MySpace page. The only way you can promote you social network ID number is if a moderator asks you to or in the appropriate sub-forum. You can however share you social network ID number in your signature and also your profile settings.

• Do not post or ask for information about bots, macros, cheats or hacks of Playdom games. This also includes links to sites that may indirectly promote such programs. Similarly, talk about your personal use of such items, or discussion of unreleased content (in other words, content that cannot be obtained by standard means), is also forbidden.
  This rule states that you are not share hacks or post hacking links that can teach others how to hack. In other words do not post any hacking videos from Google or YouTube, this is extremely forbidden. Also this rule is to enforce that you are not share hacks with each other and also post about unreleased content. That is extremely forbidden and will not be tolerated.

• Do not impersonate any Playdom employee or the volunteer moderators.
  This rule states that you are not to impersonate or mock our forum members, moderators, Community Managers or other forum staff. It is disrespectful and uncalled for. Also you are not to talk about or mention how our moderators do their job. It is forbidden, unfair, and will not be tolerated!

These are the rules interpreted in an understandable fashion we must practice every time. Go over the rules and enjoy the Playdom Community Forum. Have fun and enjoy your stay on forums.
