I've seen the reviews of this on the App Store and I'm very tempted to get it, but it's £5! Has anyone bought it?

Can anyone tell me how exactly it ties into Avengers Alliance and if it affects your gameplay or your experience? Sorry if there's already a thread somewhere, couldn't see anything stickied here and there wasn't anything in the first few pages of Off Topic.
