So you can accept it to your inventory. Not really a pet peeve of mine.
Accepting shield points from allies' maps is one of my pet peeves lol.

i can't believe you guys are whining about such a diminutive button like you can't think of anything else more important to worry about!

It's never really bothered me. I just click it and go on my way.
Agent Yoshi, Level: 223 | Wanted: Shatterstar | Command Points: 165/135 | Gold: 213
Are you seriously worried about the second or two it takes to click it? I mean, really? What else is so pressing that the couple of seconds is going to matter?
FWIW, you don't even have to click on the button. Just anywhere on the screen will suffice, so you don't even have to worry about dragging that mouse over an inch to the correct spot.
If Iron Man and the Silver Surfer teamed up, they would be alloys.
I think people are missing the point of this thread. The point isn't that we have to click a button. To me, the point is that there is an illusion of chance, when in reality the Server decided what items we are going to get as soon as we opened up a Mission for the first time.
Personally, I would like it if the game had a visual representation that matched the reality of the outcome. That is, instead of giving us 9 boxes and making us think that maybe if we'd clicked a different box that we might have gotten something else... Just give us one box, we click it to see what we got, we accept it, we move on.
The odds in this game resemble a Pokie Machine, as does the illusion of random chance.

this is funny actually, but some people are heated up for a debate. lol. *grabs popcorn*
lol. are you that lazy that you cant even press"accept button? does it affect your game so much just to press it? lol..
i mean, you said it yourself, its not like we're given another option..so why bother? its not like it will move on its own..lol
if you dont like the game or part of it, then make your own!
The point is, it lacks sensible utility. What Razorgirl reasoned out is one valid argument. It's not like the game is giving us much choice than to accept the prize, which is, in itself, already predetermined.
Um.. Rude much? Not just because I do not particularly like (i.e., nor do I particularly hate, abhor, or loathe) that minute part of the game means that I should go ahead and spend at least 6 months in my basement creating my own. What I'm aiming for is constructive criticism.
This is funny, do you think every player who disliked something about, let's say, Metal Gear Solid, WoW, Castlevania, FF, Tekken, or any other game went nuts and created their own game? Ludicrous.
Thinking about it, I'm ok with the 'accept' button, after all you can check your reward without a hassle (especially nice with gear that you don't want to search in your inventory).
What kinda bothers me is the 'open' button before, though. This one is truly useless.
And to all those that hate on the OP, I guess you're just clicking away unreflected and never bother. But sometimes you should question thingsAnd discussing or even removing an unnecessary prompt in the game won't hurt anyone, so chill.
