Please could you either, do something so that the report button actually works, or, appoint some moderators to world chat. between spamming and nasty comments something needs to be done.

I couldn't agree more. First thing I do now after logging into AoM is quickly switch to Guild Chat because the World Chat is ridiculous (as popnpix described above). If you can't implement his suggestions, could you at least default it back to Guild Chat?

Indeed. My game has slowed since they added World Chat, and people are either spamming with ally-requests or typing obscene language.

For the love of our sanity.... there are a handful of kids who are constantly spamming nonsense.... please, please, please give us an ignore button.
Or... a moderator who can ban these people from using the world chat altogether. They are distracting, as well as not letting anyone ask legit questions or get legit answers.

Gosh.... why oh why are y'all allowing duplicate names on the same realms/worlds? We now have kids pretending to be others by using thier names and using foul lewd comments in order to turn people against the original name holders. ... plus it would eliminate so many toons w/ the name 'enter name here,' which we can't tell who is who.
Not hiring a permanate mod in chat is understandable... but not giving us that ignore button, plus allowing duplicate names is not understandable.
This game will lose adults (w/ real money that can buy gold,) to the trolling kids w/ no life and no jobs.

Plus.... not giving us players' toon names under thier real names in the ally icons... lets players use our profiles to give out personal information and we don't know who to delete. It's getting to be ridicules.

Does these forums even have mods?
... kinda getting frustrated, and I've actually spent money on the game.

Myself and a couple others that are regulars in the world chat ended up leaving because one person made several accounts using other toons (already taken) names to play head games with everyone else.

I agree, world chat is often hostile, and i've got a lot of threatening misogynistic abuse from a certain user. I click report every time it happens but he's still there, still harassing women and I refuse to spend money on gold to change my screen name to something gender neutral just to stop abuse....

I've considered spending money gold to help me out in game but until world chat is actually moderated and this behaviour is regulated, then I'm not going to do that. He makes threats of sexual assault at people and it's just not funny. I come to the game to relax, not make myself feel worse.

If I took a screenshot who could I send it to as to not put it on the board? (the content would probably get my forum account banned, and that's just from the harasser.)

There is a lot you need to fix, the main portion is to hire a few moderators to monitor the world chat and deal with people that need to be dealt with in the appropriate manner.

Idc if you have to offer gold, witches, or what you have to do to get some; you can make world chat so much better if you eliminate the filth, and get around to IP Banning a few of them.

Also if your looking for volunteers I would gladly deal with this on a daily Basis. I find Server 0 is the main issue for this. The other 2 servers are barely used.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. We are listening and working on making chat enjoyable to all players! If you encounter this type of behavior, please send a ticket to support with a screenshot. They may not be able to do anything right away but it will help them collect data so that the game team can investigate.
