free gifts (materials) - always the same

For weeks now, I've only been able to gift cement, limestone, or bricks. I've tried clearing my browser cache and using a different browser, but the gifts never change. Any hints for fixing this?

That is game generated, so until the programmers get around to changing them there is not much to do. I don't know if you can specify which "mystery gift" you choose to send, like can be done in GoT.

Prior to being stuck with only cement, limestone, or bricks, other building materials were available -- tile, paint, glass, etc. Without the variety, it makes it harder to upgrade buildings.

[Stripes]

The building materials available to gift are different for each player - it can be pretty tough if you don't have a friend with materials different from your own.

Maybe update the gifts you can give on the neighbor request page? Let other players know which gifts you have to give?
