I loved the game and the whole concept and hate to just give up, but it's getting annoying enough to do just that, quit. I understand this is just a beta version and am willing to wait for new tasks to show up, but when they do, they really need to be more user friendly. I read that different people are getting different items to be tested and see what people prefer. I'm thinking this isn't the proper way to do things. The person/people that have created this game have to have some pretty decent intelligence, so you would think they would have enough common sense to have a round about idea what we would prefer when it comes to game play. It's not going to be one flashlight every 24 hours and a difficult time searching for items needed to proceed in the game. :-)
I totally agree. This is beyond absurd. I can see that Playdom wanted to do something to use up large stores of magic, but, seriously, almost 1,000 magic for one flashlight? And then you're not even guaranteed to gather something in the quest? This is definitely a showstopper. I realize we're all beta testers, but what's the sense of being a beta tester and giving feedback if the feedback isn't even acknowledged?

It is a pain, I know. But it is also a challenge. I find that visiting neighbours and leaving a gift is a good way to earn magic. And zipping through a new area is not a challenge, whereas this - though frustrating - give us something to aim for and isn't over in a day, leaving us bored and with nothing to do. I actually like the idea of dragging things out a bit.

And I do agree in essence, but not to the 1,000 magic per day. 500 per flashlight would be fair. That's 10 neighbor visits and some crop tending. That way you could use 24 hours to craft one flashlight, and 1,000 magic for 2 more. 3 flashlights per day seems a lot more reasonable than 1 flashlight, would still be challenging and far less frustrating. As I said, why be a beta tester if no one is going to listen to the feedback?

The devs will take the feedback into account when developing new quests.

I don't mind a challenge, but I'm getting super frustrated with the one flashlight a day. I log on do all my collecting then go to the gypsy camp to find that I still have 3 hours to go to get my flashlight. So I use my magic, get my flashlight, use my flashlight and get absolutely nothing, not even some debris. I've been waiting days just to get another large tree to finish a quest and they can't even give me that. I'm giving this one more week then I'm deleting it. I use games like this to relax me because I have anxiety, but when the game causes me anxiety it's not worth playing. lol I would be happy to just to finish the game and I really can't see this game having an ending. I would probably even play it over again after winning just to do everything differently, but this is just getting boring now. I have about 20 friends that were all playing every day, I have noticed only 2 people are playing every day now and that is only because they are really far behind me, it's only a matter of time before they quit, the others haven't played in over a week which is also frustrating me because I can't get people to staff my buildings now.
