Calculating stars..?

Does anyone have an idea how they calculate how many stars you get for contributing in a philanthropy? Because I have just finished my fourth one (join the peace caravan) and I single-handed I took it from below 20% to 100%, and I still had 0 stars. I know it doesn't really matter on your own, but I'm still curious.

So, does anyone know? Or have a clue?

Sometimes it shows that on the philanthropy page, but if you click on My Team it shows you your actual stars.

Oh, I see. But I'm still curious to know, because when I do them on my minis, it usually only takes about 20 times before I have 5 stars.

I'm not sure, but I think it depends on your level. Like in the Intramurals you get to the last level pretty fast if you're playing with a low level...
