I'm completely finished with campus events and I still think these come out too fast. Certainly now with Summer Fun/Rock the boat. Maybe they should alternate.

The frustrating thing is I want to work on intramurals but it's hard to complete them because everyone is working on philanthropies.

But these keep people logging in every day so I doubt Playrdom is going to listen to players who want to play LESS.

I don't get all the dramatics revolving this game, do what you want and let the rest go.
Even on the risk you're gonna "cut my head off" :
no one wants to miss on the goodies/BPs/Boarders, so! no one will take a break on a volunteer base

The world doesn't revolve around how burnt out you are... adjust your own behavior and routines to what YOU want to do and stop imagining there is some kind of pressure to do anything you don't want to do in a game!

By the same token, the game shouldn't be so "FULL" because some people would be bored. Both sides have legitimate arguments. The reason why people continue and won't break is b/c they want to remain competitive in the game for those that ARE taking advantage of multiple characters. Some of us would love a break, some of us don't. It's just a point of view. *shrug*

And I take FIVE characters through each S.A. for the Boarders & BPs.

EXACTLY! I would love a break from S.A.s. But what's forcing me to do it is the Boarders & BPs. It's tough if you want to remain competitive in the game.

This is true. I gave up. I just had a baby three weeks ago and am barely on the computer these days. I've already missed my first 5 day collection in three years, didn't finish the first summer fun and won't be finishing the second, just did last SA on one character and haven't and probably won't be starting this next one either. By the time I might be able to check back into the game I'll be having my butt handed to me by other players at my level. Call me a sore loser but that is not my idea of "FUN" and not what I invested 3yrs into this game and a crap load of money for. So I guess this game has run it's course for me. If there were a few breaks between new events and SA etc. I might be more motivated to log back in more often but the more things I miss as they rush everything and anything out as quick as they can, the less eager I am to bother playing anymore. I had a good run, had fun buying nice clothes, hairs etc. and kept my stats at a fun level for me to enjoy the game, it's become impossible to be a casual player anymore and I don't have time for the had core playing PD is forcing us to become so I surrender *waves my white flag*

First, CONGRATS on your baby!! ENJOY EVERY SINGLE SECOND!! RL is way more impt that the game, FOR SURE! I am happy for you!

Second, I often said (even on the forums) I am quitting, and I do - for all of a week or so. But somehow I return. However, I am getting REAL close to just giving up myself. W/the treatment from the company, the ridiculous hoops to "prove" their code is at fault and not us, the feeling like running on a wheel like a hamster...whew! I've always said I stay b/c I love the "real-time" feed (HA!) and the camaraderie it develops, but I am just...I am close to just letting go. It's been a great run, the last 3 yrs, but I am about done. How can I justify continuing to spend my time when it's getting too much? And if I don't take advantage, I, too, will have my butt handed to me. Imagine the players who just started the game and already FEEL out of the race? I doubt PD is making many new friends/players.

This all comes down to this: they want us to log in daily - and STAY ON - to up their numbers so they can justify themselves to the advertisers. Or have VIPers pay that cost (no pop-ups for them), giving them a sense of "obligation" to stay on playing since they are paying. Either way this isn't about the players anymore, regardless of which side you take (constant rolls-outs or a break). This is about their numbers and bottom line. And SL is sliding BIG TIME. They are either pushing long-time players out (burned out or fed up) or keeping new players from investing (too much/already behind). The strategy is a good one for an initial boost, but will ultimately be the death of the game, which is sad for those of us who have spent years playing. *sigh* Oh well, like you, eventually I AM going to give up and leave for good. Admittedly not quite there yet, but I'm really feeling it coming.

I hope that they NEVER slow it down. As a matter of fact I am a little annoyed that Rock the Boat is still going. Hasn't it lasted longer than Summer Fun already? The new SA just started but there is only so much that you can do unless you are ticket farmer or buy tickets. I would be happy for them to start a new party planner event so that I had something to do. I can't think of any reason to have to get every glam item on every one of your avis except OCD. People that play each avi like it is its own game are the people that complain the most. I play other avis only to the point that they can do things to help my main (BPs and Borders) the glam each of those avis has is irrelevant. I NEVER do 5 days or galas on anything but my main. There is no need to "finish" the party planner on other avis so that means that I don't make appetizers for the 4th venue. I really don't understand people that need to finish everything with each of their avis and then complain about how long things take.

Point of view well taken. I am not OCD nor feel the need to play everything on all avis (I only play 5) other than to get the BPs & Boarders where I can (and w/the S.A.s that's the 5 BPs for finishing and the last tab for the Boarder(s)), and the Rock the Boat for the BP & Boarder on each avi. Glam be damned on some avis, though.

As for complaining, as I said, you have your p.o.v., I have mine, and I think it would be nice to have a break and feel just as miffed at people who complain of being bored as you do w/people complaining about being overwhelmed. Separate points of view, both with legitimate arguments and both deserving of respect.

I cannot understand how some players have completed all of the campus events. I've been playing since 2009 and I have not finished any campus events on my main let alone any minis.
Rest in peace, Nightfall: Bloodlines, Mobsters: Overdrive, Verdonia, Market Street, Social City and ESPNU College Town.

My main (now 229) finished all (at that moment available...) events when it was just a year old (which is 1,5 year ago...)....
