Still have a "pattern" on the floor of the yard when it is emptied

Does anyone else have this? I wanted to redesign my yard, so I have removed everything from it. All that is left is the airship.

Except - where I've stored buildings etc, there is still a patchwork quilt effect on the floor of the yard, making it look a bit of an eyesore, and a bit difficult to decide where to put things.

Is it just me? I left it two days to see if it would clear the floor (like in GoT when you just get a blank canvass to start from again), but the coloured squares are still there.

Can anyone suggest anything I can try to clear the pattern away?

The tile effect is left over from the items you have stored. Go into ground tiles, choose brown dirt and start clicking. You will end up with a plain empty space. Enjoy the redesigning! :-)

I hate redesigning. I get bored after a short while and end up just dumping stuff anywhere to get enough rep!!
