Choose Your Reward: New Level Up Feature

It is probably because you are already at 45. I haven't seen it yet.

I guess I'm one of the lucky few as I do get the gold per level even when I level up between times the limit is raised. While I hope this reward is rolled out to all players - so that those who have not received gold in the past get a reward as well, I have a feeling that I'm going to miss that automatic gold bar each level.

I totally agree about the level rewards. People who play, diligently, through the wait of new chapters and bug fixes should get a reward, same as anyone else... maybe even moreso. It's even more unfair that some people do not get any reward at all.

That said, knowing the levels are capped, I try to stay just under it until they are upped again. But I think I play for different reasons than some. I enjoy playing with the yard to decorate more than anything, so that is where I spend most of my time on these games.

I was trying to stay under the cap, but the hunt for Emeralds (and before that Garnets) pushed me farther than I wanted to go. Between chapters, I tend to play Chapter 2 (to collect Lighthouses) or HQ scenes.

I just finished working for my third lighthouse, lol. I love the Marie Laveau and Seven Sisters, too... have 2 Maries and 3 Sisters... needing another Sister, soon!

I don't know who came up with this "Questionable Brady Bunch" random reward routine, but it's ridiculous!

I got a whopping 1,000 coins for leveling up??? Serioiusly???

I'd like to get a gold bar for my efforts.

I earn more coins playing 1 puzzle than I got for leveling up to level 36!!

I was already "capped" when the levels moved up to 40, and still "capped" when they increased it to 45, and of course, I got nada in either case when the top level was increased.

One would think that PD would know better than to be so arbitrary about things, and would be FAIR TO EVERYONE on levels up, etc. Not only that:
- it does not 'cost' them anything to give out those gold bars
- if players actually *have* gold bars to spend, they might do so more readily, ergo PD can get more $$ from when the gold bars are spent

I think this is a huge reason PD has refused to institute an overall confirmation on gold purchases - they get more $$ from our "accidental purchases" than if people spent gold on purchases because they wanted to.

One of my big peeves about new "features" like this is the surprise element - looking for that shiny gold bar at level up, then seeing this grid to choose from. No warning that it was going to happen, no explanation about how the feature works, just throw it out there and let us figure it out. I would rather have a gold bar than the ironclad ship I "chose." Just sayin'...

A friend of mine has asked me play in her game because she works and I don't, so I can get more gems for her during that time. She stopped getting gold for leveling up when she was level 4. That is bad enough, but today, I leveled up for her while I was playing. I picked 1 gold. Sounds good, doesn't it. It was not awarded to her. She still has the same amount she had before she leveled up. So at level 29, and not having spent any gold on anything, she has 15 gold. So unfair!
