I don't understand your assertion that "this game will have no future." On what grounds are you basing that? Playdom needs ways to make money from this game. Without money, the game definitely WILL die. You're mad that they're adding things to keep it alive and profitable? The extra units and buildings are accessory. You don't need them. The dice thing? Also unnecessary. The new features are ways for them to get money. The addition of new ones isn't necessarily a statement of their desire to steal money from us, but possibly just an attempt to find what sorts of things people are willing to spend money on and how much. We don't really need any of it anyway. Why feel entitled to things you don't need from people who don't have to give things away for free at all? They're a company, and need to make a profit. Their employees need to make a living, just as you and I.

Microtransactions seem to be the new thing in the gaming industry. If handled properly, this business model seems to be the best for both the developers and the consumers. Compared to other f2p games, this is actually pretty good. There aren't any hard restrictions yet, like f2p level caps or f2p player segregation. We don't have any limits to the amount of time we can play or things we do everyday. I'm pretty happy with the microtransactions in this game. Also, the team is actively working on the game. We get patches and new features regularly. They even have this site set up to foster a community as well as give technical support and interaction with the players. For all that work, they should be financially compensated.

Besides, there are plenty of ways to get gold. Just do some surveys from time to time.
