I know people don't believe this, but you CAN fix badly built characters. When I first started playing, I dumped all my skill points into confidence and stamina, thinking it would make me a better fighter. (Hint: it doesn't.) I also got to 230 in energy before I realized that that amount of energy is REALLY excessive. I got to about level 120 before I realized how important pop is. Now, at level 205, I have over 600 pop, which I built up by doing all campus events and every SA. You CAN fix it. It just takes time and patience. It isn't instant, but you can turn around any badly built character, or if you really don't want to, start a new mini. That's what they're there for.
I completely agree. I fixed my character. Yes it took time and strategy, but isn't strategy what makes this game fun?

You should not be able change allocation.

I would like to see more available from events....Being a higher level there are limited points to earn now.
If they added more to the game, people would find it a little easier to remedy their avatars build if they find they made mistakes in allocation.
Yes, good point. I have done almost all of the road trip events, and you spend all of that energy for ONE skill point? And all the minis in the world don't fix the one that is "broken." I do every SA that I can do, but the skill points offered are not that many. I think Sydney had what, 5 or 6?
Why not just change the name to "Glitch Life" and be done with it?

I would like it to be like another game, where you can reorganize your skill points with (in SL's case) BPs.

It could also be a level thing, like after every 20 levels you get the chance to do it for let's say 12 BPs or $24mil. (Gotta make it more difficult some how? lol)

I don't have the time nor the resources to just level up and "Rebuild" my character. My mother is trying to become mores stringent on my computer time as it is, and with people DESTROYING my confidence every day, it's hard to gain influence and level up like I can in Intramurals. The 25 espresso limit kills my socializing goals every day, too, and socializing definitely gets one's influence up the most. Which is another thing: why is accepting chocolate bars and lipsticks unlimited, but accepting milk teas and espressos have such tight limits? I think PD should encourage us socializers more instead of discouraging us... Not all of us want to go HAM on all the other players lol. xD

You said in another thread that you've only been playing for 2 months and you're level 76. If you started again with a mini then you could rebuild in another 2 months. Also part of the fun of the game is the strategy. I made a mess with my SPs on my main at first and put far too much into energy and stamina but then I found the forums and startted thinking strategically. I now have over 2x my level in pop and good charm too.

Well now I'm level 86. The only reason I can even move up as fast as I have is because of socializing both in the normal section and in SA. xD I like plowing through the events for some reason....

Honestly? I have commitment issues. I doubt I'll even be playing this game 2 months from now... And I started this game without really aiming for strategy. I had an entirely different view of the game from everyone else. I thought it was a game that I could just do my own thing and get as far as I wanted, like I always do. Unfortunately, this game turned out to be more of a Mafia Wars game than that. Dx (In case someone who's reading this hasn't played MW2, the basis of the game is to attack, have a big mob to attack other players with and win, getting weapons with the best attack and/or defense, and so on)

I really hate the fact that I'll have to engage in "Strategy" in this game.... that takes the fun out of it. The only time I like to use strategy are in poker and that PC game Age of Empires. I LOVED using strategy on the latter; it was more of a "You have a kingdom, now use the allies you have on the computer to defend yourselves and become a great empire" type of game. It was expected that you'd eventually be attacked, but you could all see each other and there was no other... unpredictable factors such as human strangers who could be anything from vindictive to meek to conciliatory to brutal. And your empire was based off real empires like the Turkish, Byzantine, Roman, Greek, British, etc.

    Yeah I'm a nerd. >_> lol

-Sigh- I guess my point is that it would have been nice to know we'd have to do all this from the start and it'd also be nice to get a do-over instead of having to spend soooo much time trying to compensate for it. DX

Well I personally don't get too worried about games that I only play for a little then give up on and part of the reason we have minis is so we can do things over. I think you should wait and see if you get bored and if you don't you could create a new character with better strategy or try to turn your's around. I don't think it's ever too late. Or if you stop playing in a bit and ever come back to the game you could start over with a mini.

I don't like this idea. I have turned my Main into a decent defender and fighter. I refused to give up on her just because I made a poor choice with my skill points. I still have a way to go with her but in the next 11 levels she will hit 200 and I am proud of that and what I have accomplished with her. She will never be perfect but I enjoy having her be the one with all the BP glam from years and years ago and will always use her as my main.

My minis, which I have 4 of, are the ones that are getting the boarders for me now and that only helps to make my main a better character. I wish I could have 10 minis but I just don't have the time to build more and use them all. For now I am happy with a total of 5 characters.

    No skill point changing please!

    My Main:

    Level 189
    Psychology Major

    Events Organized - 34460
    Burn List Gratitudes - 77

    Fights Won - 7829
    Fights Lost - 3277
    Depressions - 70
    Girls Destroyed - 181

    Walk-Offs - 76
    Walk-Offs Won - 69

    Intramural
    Points Scored - 929725
    Competitions Won - 307

    Charm - 132
    Popularity - 165
    Max Energy - 540
    Max Confidence - 618
    Max Stamina - 30

I guess being a Wow (world of warcraft) player I'm used to having the option of changing toons attributes. I like being able to swap my earned skill points out and change the abilities of my toon. Either way I enjoy playing SL just as it is.
