    Question Bots and the Game.

Is it me or has this game become fully taken over by people using glitches (exploits) . Seems like new day, new problem. I seen a post by chelson and i have to agree with him, Until Playdom starts going after the bot makers (people making money off there game). A simple whois network query gives you the owners name/address even phone number, So how hard is it to send them a cease and desist letter? I mean really. I handed Vic the name/address even his ip address, form1,form2 of his lame .net script so the dev's could block the refresh from mozilla 4x browsers. I know there will be bots in every game, But when there is only ONE and its being spammed all over the game its a slap in the face to all the players who paid for good LE items. Because no matter how many LE items you have, if you have a 20.00 bot and over a billion dollers you can kill anyone you want, list them as many times as you want, make there time playing miserable. If i download a movie from a torrent site i will get an email from my service provider saying i am downloading illegal copyrighted content. The bot itself is a copyright violation, TOS Violation, Its using your images, your servers, your bandwidth, Wonder why the servers run so slow on sunday, Friday people go out dont wanna sit in front of the pc, They load there bot for the weekend by time sunday comes the apache process has been hammered with over 3000million server requests runs out of memory. Basically a Denial of Service Attack. The servers cannot keep up with the bots .001 millisecond refresh on the hitlist tab. You might ask how do i know so much about this bot? I am programmer, I decompiled it using reflector a .net reverse engineering tool. I changed the domain of my localhost to the site and ran it for debugging, in less than 5 minutes,100mb of data sent, my apache server was running a load of 22.01 23.03 22.04 , So if thats one user, add that up to say 100 people, Thats 1gigabit of data sent every 5mins to the playdom servers, the apps server will exhaust memory and need a manual reboot. (Im sure anyone at playdom knows what im talking about) So a call will need to be made to the colo facility telling them they need to reboot server a and b because they cannot login remotely due to apache forking.

These are my personal views and not that of playdom.

Appreciate the post, Street Thief. I believe several BOTS and multi-players have been identified and called out several times. They are all still playing, to my knowledge. I got hammered recently by one of these lame brains. They flaunted it to all who would listen that they were in bed with PD and nothing would be done to them. And that has proven to be the case. Tempors and his aliases and pals are all still playing.

Frankly, I do not understand the motivation behind BOTs, multi-players, and gaming the system via exploits. Where is the challenge in that?
