message center, accepting gifts & upgrading

Does anyone know if it helps to first upgade any items and then go into the message center to accept gifts. Will you then be able to upgrade more items.

I'm just thinking if you can only have 10 of one thing, should you use up what you have and then the game will let you accept 10

Or does the game just keep a master count of what you have including what's in the message center.

Hope this is making sense to someone.

This is the best way to do it. What's in the Message Center is not counted in your limit of 10; only what's in your building upgrade inventory is counted.

IT would be nice to get materials to be able to upgrade as all I get recently is goggles and thermo hints and silver as return gifts.....duh my inventory only hold 99 of goggles and 99 of thermo hints and that was passed up days and days ago....the materials out of 239 help requests sent in the last 5 days I got 11 materials back in response and the rest was goggles and thermo hints and silver.....DUH...don't need that stuff. I sent to Julie a request for nails, she got the request and sent it back to me and I got silver not nails.....I am so tired of all the GLITCHES...and then this morning they are testing out a new " SEND ENERGY TO THESE FRIENDS" screen and it was names I have never even heard of....QUIT TRYING OUT NEW STUFF and fix the GLITCHES or I"m going somewhere else to not have as much frustration

Any one having gifts in MC disappear if not used daily? I had several of the building upgrade materials this am and none after 6pm.

As I understand it that is what some are able to do and it is the BEST way . I on the other hand do not get any of what I accept until I refresh, so it does me no good to do anything other than accept all and hope for the best ... Yes I loose many since it goes over 10 but what is a body to do? LOL
