What's the best Bruiser to get?

Hi all,

My team is lacking a Bruiser so I was wondering which one is the best to get? Thinking especially for PvP, but also for the PvE deploys.

I have 90 command points (in points + gold) saved because I thought I'd get Thor, but then I saw people saying he's the weakest of all premium heroes so aside from Hulk (because I want to buy the premium mission so I'll recruit him for free) who would you recommend?

I've actually heard that Wolverine is the 'weakest'/least worthwhile of all the Premiums. As for a Bruiser, I'd say you can't go wrong with She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel (alternate costume) or Colossus for their prices. She-Hulk has Burst of Speed which allows her to do 2 attacks and has the ability to stun with her 3rd attack. Ms. Marvel can also make 2 attacks after Kree Strike (think that's the name of the ability) on her following turn and her Lv 9 ability is pretty nice (absorbs energy attacks and buffs her 1st and 3rd skills for a few turns). Colossus works well with the Bastion if you have it and have his 3rd skill (3rd skill, Decimate, exploits Exposure) and can also be used as a shield thanks to his 2nd ability.

I don't have Thing so I can't comment on him.

If you want a crack at premium missions and possible drops then get the Hulk. Opens up Premium mission 1.

Alternatively with the 'limited time' costumes for Avengers Assemble you might want to angle at Thor.

Of the natural born bruisers - Hulk powers up the best to do the most damage, Thor takes the lead and can strengthen the team (he is also immune to a lot of stuff), Colossus can protect others if you want him to. She-Hulk can do a fair amount of damage also, and can take two turns. Thing is the least impressive (I have him at level 8, the only bruiser I have below level 9, so I have not seen how well his protect power works); I have him in line with many other characters to level up, and I am not sure when or if I will get around to it, as I will do the more useful heroes first). I personally would go with Hulk for the power. If you want to team a bruiser in PVE with lower level heroes, Colossus at level 2 would be a good choice. If you want your agent and other hero strengthened in their attacks, Thor is the one for you.

So your choice of bruiser really depends on what you need him or her to do. I don't have any of the alternate bruiser costumes to comment as to their abilities.

Wolverine is not as weak or lame as everyone makes him out to be. He probably is more useful in PVE than PVP. You need him for the premium mission - level 4, and also to be deployed in certain other missions. I use him in his alternate infiltrator uniform, and he is very dangerous against tacticians. He has some self-healing each turn, and a really good healing ability once you get him to level 9. Plus, in attack mode, he leaves residual damage - bleeding (level 1 power) followed by ravage (level 6 power) can be particularly damaging.

IF you have Gamma Booster, Gamma Gadget and Offensive Acceleration, you have Captain America and/or Spiderman,
I insistingly suggest you get THE HULK for super Damage at Gamma rage x 3 + 100% Crit from G. Gadget + 5 Hulk ups +2 Bruiser Bonus from scrapers = 10K+ DMG. He's the Best Beast in the whole game. (IMOHO) [but that's just one Agent's opinion... me.]
