Defensive Units Must Die?:)
Well so far, I've seen more and more gold units in people's base defending. Idk, how about impose a unit loss after each battle? That would make people think more of a good combo or strategy of defending his/her base. Not just spam gold units and become invincible ^^. Well... not really invincible but the losses the raider takes really hurt . Or for example there are 100 units defending the base, after the defender loses, the defender will lose 5 units randomly or something. Then when it reaches 80 units or something the defending player can't be attacked nor can he/she do anything unless s/he reinforces again aka goes online again. So yes, I am implying that there should be an increase of minimum defensive units just for this ^^
Idk but it feels sad to lose a lot of high tier units and the defending side who lost loses none and just got a X/Y+1 stat on raiding defense and you gain around 5k silver

Well, I like the idea, and the purpose... But think about it.
One day, you find all of your expensive troops gone from excessive raids, and you have to be bankrupt to build them over again.
What's the fun of that?
well yeah... I thought about that last night especially when a guild/group of friends/a bunch of people gang up on you and yea...so nvm then / But yes, it pretty much destroys the fun on the other hand. In this case, you have to replace units every day o.o lolz
Properly implemented, the damage can be limited. Like DHJT says, reduce the number of casualties taken by the defenders, and limit the number of times someone can be attacked. Right now, you can't attack the same person twice in the same hour. Expand on that, make it such that one person cannot be hit more than X times in a day. Or reduce silver gains for attacking a battered opponent to near nothing to discourage attackers. There will still be some costs, and it can really bankrupt you if you're in a guild war and your opponents are actively bringing down the pain on you, but I think it's all part of the PvP experience. You can always rebuild once the war is over. I've played games where it's actually possible to kill off an opposing player by concentrating invasions on one guy lol. That was really great fun.

I lost x8 Macemen, x5 Riflewomen, x1 Axeman, x5 Grenadier, x3 Shieldman, x3 Crusher...
so were there any changes? I also noticed that I cannot attack some people because it says the defending units doesn't meet the requirements. Therefore, it's either they didn't supply defensive forces which are unlikely because they cannot do anything unless they reinforce OR defensive units now die?

I took some defensive casualties too. Thing is, all those battles took place yesterday. I checked this morning and there were no casualties. So that means defensive losses are being applied retroactively. Lost a witch. Damn.
None of my troops have ever been lost. o_o
