It's long 4 years. After that there's big mature test that is same like one in primary school - but this one has material you learnt in high school. Same for college. Everything works like that in our country. But in our country ,a lot of people ask parents to buy them diplomas and hire them somewhere. (Diplomas are quite cheap) So ,a lot of people is still quite illiterate.

Nope ,we don't have that. We have primary school long 8 years - on end little mature ,and test for it. Who don't pass the test ,gets grade back. He can million times repeat ,they don't care. Primary school is required ,and you got to pay big penalty if you don't go to primary school. It's required because in our country 70% of people are illiterate - barely can talk understandably , 30% of people can't even write. High school will probably become required also as only primary school don't give much result. When want to go to high school ,they look at your pupil's book to see what your evaluations are. The higher they are ,you have better chances to go to better school. Ones that have repeated grades have low chance to go to good high school. There's test you got to pass so you would go to high school.
