Hey Sisters!

I'm sooo sorry to be hopping on here so late, however, things have been bustling as we prep new content and **NEW GAMES** :D There will be a definite incentive for you SL players to try out these new games on the horizon, so watch out for that!!

I'm currently working on sorting out the issue which prevented some MySpace users from receiving their 100 VIP Brownie Points this month. Hang tight! I know it's absurd and I'm terribly sorry, but it WILL BE FIXED SOON.

Though I may not have responded to each post individually, I'm definitely hearing your complaints about repeat Glam, etc., and I'm doing everything within my power to remedy this.

At this time, please let me hear any new issues I should look into, apart from issues that have been brought up week-to-week (i.e. Majors), that I have said I've reported.

I just want to ask why I did not receive my VIP glam in my other characters. It's true that I switched to my other characters 10 days after the glam was rewarded but are we not suppose to get the glam still after the 11th ?

I have also had this problem of not receiving VIP Glam drops on all characters =(

Obviously it wouldn't really be fair, but what's a casino dress when you're already selling holiday countdown items and putting them in fortune wheels AND putting exclusive Brownie Point buying merchandise in them? :o

just a thought .... wouldn't it be a good idea to fix SL before new games are released? And think about perks if we try out new games like glam that should be special .... and then shows up as gifts for the holidays ....

Running list - updates would be more than welcome:
gifts still vanishing, interestingly that started with higher frequency as soon as the "amazing" BP deal was released to buy tickets (consideration for the players who were out of gifts for weeks is somewhere around zero on this one)

I play on MS and did not receive the last glam drop on all of my characters. In the past, it did not matter how long after the drop you signed in on a character you would still get the item whenever you did sign in on a character. This also happened on the item that dropped between the old VIP program and the new VIP program.

Not to beat a dead horse ...... OK yes I'm going to beat this dead horse till you stand up to what you said the last time "exclusive" glam was "accidentally" released. Removing it from the Fortune Wheel is NOT enough. We pay Real $$ for EXCLUSIVE items and at this point it would unfair to the people that have spent their BPs to get the items from the wheel. The only thing that makes sense is for you to give us replacement EXCLUSIVE glam :mad:

All,

I want to assure you that the team takes responsibility for this error on their part, and understands your frustration. Most of you have noticed that there are two different versions of this item available in the game, and because of this error, one of them was mistakenly released. Exclusive items from special collections and in game events will continue to be exclusive, and in no way did the team mean to diminish the value of the prize from the Holiday Countdown.

The team is currently working on a special (exclusive) item to be credited to those players that had previously earned the dress from the Holiday Countdown event in order to make up for this mistake. I hope that this item will be something that you enjoy, and my apologies again for this!

(Note: Please don't send in a support ticket for this. The new item will be automatically credited to your account in the next few days, and I will announce when that happens so you can watch for it.)

Still have not received my VIP Brownie Points... Sent in a Ticket and it still States "New".

It has been going on over 5 days now since I was charged for VIP and No BP's yet... I hope something happens soon.

What switches will be made??? Removing items from the Wheel and adding New Ones???

I understand that people are upset that Exclusive items are in the Wheel, which is totally wrong and should not be there in the first place.

But what about people who spun the wheel many times to try and get the new items and now have to spend more BP's to get the replacement items?

I think it is a total mess up on Playdom...

Perhaps, remove this Wheel and put up a new Wheel and perhaps have all of the items be unreleased and perhaps a Brownie Point Prize instead of the Old Glam?

Also, let everyone know that the Wheel has been revised.

I mentioned last week about not being able to see the wardrobe tab while I'm on campus. It's still happening, but I can see it when I'm over doing the SA. Not sure how that one works.

i also did not get my VIP glam on all my characters. at least one is missing the tie-down gown for sure and there are others that appear to be missing but i will have to go through and check all ten avies and check for all the glam they are supposed to have. i'm sure it goes without saying that that's going to be a huge hassle. thanks again playdom >.<

I just noticed that the Countdown Timer is now gone from FA and it just says Go Now where the counter was. Does this mean that FA is being extended again after you have said that it would not be?

Noticed that yesterday. I rarely come here anymore, I get too upset. LIES! LIES LIES LIES LIES! This company LIES! GLAD I haven't paid them. And GLAD I have decided to limit my time on SL now. ALL because of things like this. Releasing LE glam in non-LE places, not fixing some glitches while fixing others, and FLAT OUT LYING. While I did agree that the S.A. should be extended for those w/the gifting glitch, and am assuming this is their way to do so, they are LIARS. Who needs to do business w/a company like this? NOT ME! So I will just stay on 1 hr a day. And to heck w/the rest. ;)

I am sadly addicted to SL, and am having trouble weaning myself off, so I am 'punishing' Playdom by not playing any of their other games. It's a strategy I would recommend to other SL addicts like myself ;-)

I am sadly addicted to SL, and am having trouble weaning myself off, so I am 'punishing' Playdom by not playing any of their other games. haha sooo not getting into another PD game thank you very much.... I've already cut down my time and spending on this one. How about NOT bringing out new games and work on the ones you already are neglecting. Geez if SL CS is this bad now, how bad is it going to be when the 1 or 2 CS reps we have now are reassigned to these new games LOL.

again - after you confirmed very firmly that there will be no exension and with all the glitches and things going wrong the absence of a counter means nothing! A lot of people spent BPs because they believed this to be the last day .... just leaves a very bad feeling. Like the starting of the pop ups for the "amazing" deal and a higher frequency of vanishing gifts. This has been discussed widely on the feed. Not just my observation.

Not that it is extended in itself. I managed to finish all my avi's a few days ago, but I know there are many who did not.
But many players have been clicking their hearts out to finish. European players on hours earlier might have been so stupid to spend BPs on tickets, or spend BPs on bonus crafts they did not manage to finish in time.

And than at 1 second before 12 , you give this great news.

Well, the timing of this news is the biggest insult ever.
I really DON'T believ that this "news" was just decided half an hour ago. This has been cooking since the gifting glitch and could have, and should have, been aanounced a week ago.

Thanks for nothing.
I'm very sorry, and I do apologize for it: but there is NO WAY that I can be really happy about a announcement like this.

Best way I can explain it as well. This should have been decided and announced WELL BEFORE now. I am very happy for those w/the gifting glitch that now get more time. But the timing on this is disgusting.

I have a very bad feeling about this, in any other business you would call this fraud, bait and swap. I know of a lot of players who spent BPs today because they were made believe this is their last chance.
And telling the absence of a counter should have been an announcment .... there are so many things wrong, absent not working ... and none are a positive statement.

This extension is a slap in the face. I was done a long time ago only because I did not have a glitch, but it's not fair to the ones that had the glitch and you had told them a week ago that there would not be an extension. I know of some people that bought the tickets and just right before it's going to stop you say "Yay!!! We heard your cries and we will give an extension!!" If this was a week ago, everyone would be happy. But this was too calculated of a move, and it does show how manipulative Playdom can be.

I'm extremely sorry. I'm being very transparent about this, I was JUST told yesterday after fighting for this extension since you all brought it up. I am sorry if you believe I have failed, however I did everything within my power to convince them. Upon finally succeeding, I thought you would be happy. :(

Well than WHY you did not take 2 minutes of precious time to announce this YESTERDAY?
It is 23:11 in the late evening at me now.
Would have been very nice to know this from directly after cookie reset, I wake up shortly after that, and DID check the forum early this morning.

And cue or clue.... Indeed with all the glitches and errors the lack of timer could without a further notification here or anywhere only be interpreted as another error/glitch.
A "cue" would have been a counter saying 8 more days.....

Playdom failed big time, I'm not putting this on your shoulders, however if you knew about this yesterday you could have put out the message. And it certainly is another big screw up on playdoms side not to have it announced on the game page itself!

This forum is not the conduit to pass out such a time relevant information. I'm sure this was a business decision based on the knowledge that a certain percentage of players will spend BPs to finish. It shows very clearly the shady business practices in place right now. This is not your fault Whitney you just work for this company.

Those are appearing because of Timeline on Facebook. All your game achievements appear there in a box labeled Games
Recent Activity. You can see all your activity by going to facebook.com/yourusername/games.

I am still waiting on my VIP BPs. I submitted my ticket just after midnight on the 19th after being charged early on the 18th. Is there any word on when we will get our BPs?

I am also disappointed that FA was extended and announced after I had settled all of my toons and spent all of my money. :(


Edit: Read up & found you said we will get them; however, there was a car I wanted to purchase with BP & it is now gone. The main purpose of having VIP was knowing I would have 100 BP on a certain day each month & this is the 2nd time this has happened with the new improved program. The charging you 4 BP seems 2 work fine but I am really disappointed with the delivery of the BPs. Normally, I would have bought the BPs currently on sale but will not give PD any more $$$ until the BPs already paid 4 are delivered. Just very very disappointed. =( =( =(

It sounds like the possibility of a extension was up for discussion yesterday, but that the final decision was not made until a few hours ago per her quote below

Oh I'm sure there is a very good reason to release this information at this time and here in the forum and not on the game page. I don't blame Whitney for everything. This is playdoms way of handling business.

I am still waiting on my VIP BPs. I submitted my ticket just after midnight on the 19th after being charged early on the 18th. Is there any word on when we will get our BPs?

I am also disappointed that FA was extended and announced after I had settled all of my toons and spent all of my money. :(


Edit: Read up & found you said we will get them; however, there was a car I wanted to purchase with BP & it is now gone. The main purpose of having VIP was knowing I would have 100 BP on a certain day each month & this is the 2nd time this has happened with the new improved program. The charging you 4 BP seems 2 work fine but I am really disappointed with the delivery of the BPs. Normally, I would have bought the BPs currently on sale but will not give PD any more $$$ until the BPs already paid 4 are delivered. Just very very disappointed. =( =( =(

For me this is a new low for Playdom.
Not that it is extended in itself. I managed to finish all my avi's a few days ago, but I know there are many who did not.
But many players have been clicking their hearts out to finish. European players on hours earlier might have been so stupid to spend BPs on tickets, or spend BPs on bonus crafts they did not manage to finish in time.

And than at 1 second before 12 , you give this great news.

Well, the timing of this news is the biggest insult ever.
I really DON'T believ that this "news" was just decided half an hour ago. This has been cooking since the gifting glitch and could have, and should have, been aanounced a week ago.

Now with the extension, I might be able to collect the glam on the quests too! So thank you so much! I am pleased with the decision, as I am sure many of the others who had the gifting glitch will be. It's a major sigh of relief!

I also have not recived my VIP glam on my minis. It has always been available before no matter how long I took to switch characters as long as my subscription remained active.

Also thank you for the extension to FA, I am sorry everyone is so nasty to you. I work in customer service too and I know how much it sucks to have people tear you a new one for things you have no control over.

I kind of feel sorry for Whitney too, because she probably has drawn the short straw in being the person who has to interact with 'those pesky customers'. Checking out employee satisfaction on a certain website I'm not sure I can mention, it would seem that some employees are as demoralised as the players. It doesn't change the fact that whoever is in charge of customer service is completely and utterly incompetent. Whitney first said that she was brainstorming ways of compensating those affected, raising expectation - then nothing was done AT ALL (a few extra tickets is nothing more than PD usually give out during SAs). Then, when announcing an extension would have brought huge sighs of relief, we were told 'no extension'. Finally, after pushing tickets like there was no tomorrow (oops, there WASN'T supposed to be a tomorrow on the SA!), it is announced that there IS an extension. So instead of Playdom seeming to care about its players, the company comes across as cynical and obsessed with money-grabbing.

Seriously, whoever is in charge of customer service needs retraining at the very least.

I have played since SL first started on FB.. and I am sad to hear of these changes.. After almost one and a half years of playing the game, considering many people who have gotten to level 150 or above, my leveling is very slow based on other people's opinion. I am currently only at level 142 and imagine how many experience away to level 150 it will still take me months and how about level 200? I should not worry about that for the next 4 years!

And with the burn list changes for level 100 and above, it just make me not want to bounty hunt when I reached that high levels.

I do understand you Whitney, and I realize that you get all our frustration, the thing is we as players of a playdom game would love to be treated as human beings too. Again htis is not directed at you but maybe something to pass on.

Whitney, I really don't want to sound rude but you have skipped all of my questions in every WwW so far.

I've asked at least 4 or 5 times whether the forum admins are aware of the timing out problems that some people have when posting/reading/browsing here on the forum since the upgrade, and whether we will ever be able to use this forum normally again.

I also asked why I got a 20-year ban for only opening one of Playdom's games and collecting the daily bonus. There are lots of players who open certain Playdom games to only get more extra clicks for Match & Win in SL and don't actually play the games, but I haven't heard of a single player who would get banned for 20 years because of that. When I filed a complaint, I was treated like I had violated Playdom's ToU first, then the CS person kept forcing different conditions on me for them to unban my account although they basically admitted that there hadn't been a valid reason for the ban in the first place.

I would love for you to finally reply to my questions:

1) Can we ever hope for the forum admins to fix the timing out problems for all the affected accounts, or are we stuck with mostly unavailable forum for good?
2) Why would I get a 20-year ban for opening a Playdom game and collecting the daily bonus? Why would a CS person refuse to unban my account although they basically admitted the original reason for the ban had been false?

Most of us had already spent our Silver so all our clicks to do Events and Quests wouldn't be wasted.

A few of my sisters bought GTs because they thought they had no choice.

I find that picture of Mr. Burns from The Simpsons, cackling evilly, EXTREMELY appropriate for how Playdom has been conducting their business lately.

I've worked in the various forms of retail and Customer Service for more than a decade, and am familiar with some of the BS policies.. but I've never seen something as slimy as what has occurred with this SA and Playdom especially, lately.

I got bored with crafting so I didn't even try to craft the regular items (leave alone the bonuses)
I haven't accepted a single ticket for a month already

So the extension of this SA has nothing to do with me.

You get 5 tries on the M&W without playing any other games, right? I use 4 of them up unblocking random squares. Since that is not enough to match anything, the last try I always give to the bonus. I get a glam item about once a week that way and I don't even have to try.

edit: Like just now, I got my third Neutral Plaid Bag and the other day, I got 3 bp's. Always on the bonus square. DO IT.

I understand and agree with your points... but the Bonus Crafts only take Minutes to complete, so everyone had a few days before the SA Ended. So no one had to rush to do them. I think a lot of people went into panic mode.

Just like when the Red Riding Hood Outfit was only available as a BP item and the Craft that could get you the Bonus was not released yet. A lot of people used BP's to get the Outfit. I waited, I knew it had to be a mistake and then I got it as a bonus.

I also said awhile ago that Playdom would extend this SA, it was obvious that had to do it and they did.

I know the timing was bad, but atleast they extended it. I never heard one person on here say anything about not extending it, everyone wanted an extension...

I also play one character, I can't figure out how people can use all 10 characters to play SL. I have trouble with playing one character.

I think the whole FB gifting thing was a Big Mess and Playdom should have extended the SA earlier, but it is what it is...

To set things straight: I never stopped playing SL. As an "SL Tips 4 addicts" contributor I can't.
My "I quit" was related to the forum here and some of the subjects which had to be repeated and repeated, but never got any sensible answers or solutions. So I stopped reacting here on forum.
But truth is: I just cannot play and read the forum here without reacting on subjects where I do have an opinion about.
Some subjects I will completely stay away from though: Is not good for my general mood & health if I do react on those. :p

I am confused. I have never been able to buy glam items. I have bought BPs and got glam as a bonus. I have spent those purchased BPs on glam and in many cases I have used those purchased BPs on the wheel. I was tickled that some items I already had showed up on wheel giving me the opportunity to have more than one since it is the stats on the items that matter in the game. I just do not understand why everyone is so outraged over this.

I can only speak for myself and not everyone but I am outraged because Playdom set a precedent for this kind of thing last July when they released "Exclusive" glam and promised that it was not intentional and gave all of us that had earned the glam they put in the VB a replacement "Exclusive" item. When I saw that they had done it again. I was shocked. Why come on the forum and apologize for something and then do it again? We all remembered that they apologized the first time and we knew that the glam they put on the wheel was from the same event... why do we have better memories than the people that get paid money to work on this game?

I have spent those purchased BPs on glam and in many cases I have used those purchased BPs on the wheel. I was tickled that some items I already had showed up on wheel giving me the opportunity to have more than one since it is the stats on the items that matter in the game. I just do not understand why everyone is so outraged over this. the glam with BPs is not a bonus, you still pay BPs for the glam item, they just take it off at time of purchase. the amount of BPs you get is lower than the usual amount to reflect the purchase of the glam. for example- normally you pay $9.99 and get 42BPs. during an offer you pay $9.99 and get 35Bps plus a piece of Glam

Incorrect, my dear. You pay for the BPs, and get that amount of BPs, PLUS the Glam. It's called a "BP Special" because you get the "bonus" Glam with purchase.. it's how they GET you to purchase the BPs, if you're not necessarily a person who buys BPs in the first place. The allure of receiving "exclusive Glam" is there to suck you into spending real money. You know, which you could be using to purchase food for yourself, donating to charity, or wiping an area that shall not be named with, as apparently Playdom likes to do.

i think if you take a look at this the nexttime the offer is on you will see my summation is correct. you do pay for the piece of glam, admittidly a lot less than had you bought a piece in game but for it to be a bonus piece of glam i.e. one you didn't pay for, you would need to get the same amount of BPs for the purchase price as you do on a normal purchase.

I never paid attention 2 the amt of BPs my bad So if u bought the glam & the BPs u essentially paid 7 BP for the glam and someone might have had to spin the wheel numerous times to get that same glam... I still do not get the outrage is all...

Because SOME things are supposed to be EXCLUSIVE. Period. That is how they get us to buy them, we want something not everyone will have. Simple as that.

Whitney, I really don't want to sound rude but you have skipped all of my questions in every WwW so far.

I've asked at least 4 or 5 times whether the forum admins are aware of the timing out problems that some people have when posting/reading/browsing here on the forum since the upgrade, and whether we will ever be able to use this forum normally again.

I also asked why I got a 20-year ban for only opening one of Playdom's games and collecting the daily bonus. There are lots of players who open certain Playdom games to only get more extra clicks for Match & Win in SL and don't actually play the games, but I haven't heard of a single player who would get banned for 20 years because of that. When I filed a complaint, I was treated like I had violated Playdom's ToU first, then the CS person kept forcing different conditions on me for them to unban my account although they basically admitted that there hadn't been a valid reason for the ban in the first place.

I would love for you to finally reply to my questions:

1) Can we ever hope for the forum admins to fix the timing out problems for all the affected accounts, or are we stuck with mostly unavailable forum for good?
2) Why would I get a 20-year ban for opening a Playdom game and collecting the daily bonus? Why would a CS person refuse to unban my account although they basically admitted the original reason for the ban had been false?

If all you have to complain about on the forums is that you aren't special anymore cause some other players got your "exclusive" glam, then count your lucky stars. You could be losing your gifts, have sisters disappearing from your house, have a screen that jumps around like a kid on a sugar high or having BPs disappearing from your account randomly. O_o

As this is a GAME, I buy glam because of the charm/popularity to help me in the game without ever considering that it is supposed to be Exclusive; I buy many items I would Never put on my doll simply because of the stats. I guess we just all play the game differently and look at it from different view points. Having a virtual paper doll that has a special exclusive virtual outfit or wig means nothing to me. If I like the way it looks I will put it on my doll, if I don't like it... it just hangs in the back of the closet.... but that ugly exclusive outfit was bought because it had killer stats, not because it was EXCLUSIVE...

It is supposed to be EXCLUSIVE. If you dont buy it because of its exclusiveness, then it's your matter.
Those whose bought it because of exclusiveness, they have the right to complain.

Thank you, Whitney, but can I ask why you didn't post something about having read my comments and reporting the issues regarding the forum? How was I supposed to know you were reporting my issues without you mentioning it or replying to my comments?

It's a complete ordeal to post or read anything here and with all the loading issues it's quite easy to skip one short reply. I know you personally can't fix this issue but I've been a forum admin for years and it never took us months to assist a person who had loading issues. And we always let everyone know we had seen their comments or complaints, usually in a PM.

Also, with all the due respect, I think you completely misunderstood my 2nd question. Yes, the ban itself is tied specifically to my account but the problem that arises from what had happened is "a more general subject that might impact the community at large". It's enough to read last 2 pages of this thread to see that other players open certain Playdom games without actually playing them to only get extra clicks for M&W in SL just like I did. If one account could get banned for doing so, don't you think it's very understandable to assume that other accounts could get banned as well and ask for the sake of other players how they can avoid such a ban (especially when the CS utterly failed to give me at least one true and sensible reason)? There isn't one single line in Playdom's ToU that says that a player has to play a Playdom game actively to be allowed to keep their access to it and yet, this non-existing line was obviously "the reason" for the ban, at least that's what a certain person kept trying to tell me, repeatedly. I'm sorry but I consider it completely ridiculous to impose a ban based on a non-existing violation of a non-existing rule, and I feel I have a right to ask questions, not only for myself but for my SL sisters as well.

A lot of them got actually very worried when they read about my issue so I can assure you that this problem indeed does impact and interest more than one person. I think it's not too farfetched of them to worry that their accounts might get banned, too, and because I was the one having the said problem, I decided to ask for all of us. Btw, there were people posting about glitches tied specifically to only their accounts here and you assisted them. It makes me wonder why I'm unwelcome to mention my issue here.

Let me also remind you that I did try to sort the problem out with CS first and it was only their absurd way of (non-)solving the issue and lying to me repeatedly that made me post here. Had they treated me like a good CS department is supposed to, I wouldn't have had a reason to ask you here to get some answers. We need a Playdom employee to explain the whole situation to us (whether my sisters should worry or not). And when the CS failed to do so, you were the only one left to ask. Where else am I supposed to ask for answers when the CS didn't give me any, and you're the only Playdom employee that I can contact now?
