Hey Sisters,

Sorry for getting started a little late today.... there's a lot going on here right now! I hope you all survived Valentine's Day! I know many feel a little humdrum on this day but it's nonetheless one of my favorites! I thought mine would be low key this year but was surprised with a wonderful sushi date with my main Sweetheart ;)

Speaking of Valentine's Day.... I wanted to ask for some feedback about the Valentine content within SL. What did you think? If you could change anything, what would it be? I know many of you wished there had been a Valentine's Day 5 Day Gifting... but personally I loved the final Rainy Day outfit... my avi is currently rocking it with some residual Valentine accessories!

I know that the link to the Red and Gold Valentine Heels took a few tries to get working.... sorry about that! Hope all of you Facebookers who "Like" the SL Fan Page were able to claim them successfully!

Anyway, it seems that gifting issues have largely subsided, yes? I know there's still some issues with getting Crafting materials.... the team is working on that. I have continued to send info about Major's prizes every week.

Let me know of anything else in the thread below. In the meantime, keeping my head up looking towards spring! Excited to see what kind of Glam rolls out!

Can you look into allowing people under level 100 being able to collect bounties from the burn list for all people under level 100 as well? Since level 200s can go after people over 100 levels below them, it would be a great compromise for those of us that have a low level hunter, to be able to hunt all levels below 100. I am personally a level 45 and would love the opportunity to collect for all under 100 since it isn't even over 100 levels below us.

Any new info on the fight list regarding the attack button disappearing after we attack someone one time, even if they are a higher level than us? It keeps happening still.

Just a quick suggestion re sending keepsakes to sisters. It would be a lot easier if the list of sisters was in alphabetical order. My list is 22 pages long & it's a real struggle finding anyone on it.

the 5 day collection would have been lovely for March or April and much more fitting. A real Valentines Outfit would have been appreciated especially from players that can't spend money for BPs on the Galas (would have been a nice Valentines gesture from playdom too).

Current issues:

jumping screen when voting, you have to vote for the same sisters over and over again
SH stalking often not possible as not all sisters show or cut off frame
wb not available or messages not visible

Now you said that by mistake some tickets were answered with the wrong "canned" response. Could you explain how this works? I understand a lot of companies accept tickets/requests with an automated answer, and declare it as such. Usually inside 48 hours you get an individual response to your problem.
How is this handled at playdom customer service?

The Majors are still messed up.

Wrong Prizes are still given out and I can't take other courses because it states I do not have the prerequisites to take the course, but I have an A in the course needed to take the next course And some courses that I passed with an A have a failing grade shown?

Also, why are the Labs in the Majors the hardest when the A prize is only a Skill Point? It is always something like "Win 150 Fights" "Collect 10 Burn Lidst Grats" stuff like that... The majority of My fight list is my Housemates.

Playdom's goal is to provide a response to customer support tickets within 72 hours. If it will be much beyond this, typically there is either a notification on our customer support site, in addition to an announcement here on the forum. I am not sure how this happened, this information was simply relayed to me from customer service. I can assure you, however, our customer service team is staffed with real people who read and consider each ticket sent.

I used over 400 tickets to org events and got NO craft materials. What is the deal with that?

I opened a problem yesterday and posted on the forum about the Lucky Scratcher event giving me tickets for Moscow. If the team is going to make SA tickets a prize for an event that uses BPs they need to make sure that they keep the prizes updated when the SA ends. Given how many things that they DON'T bother to test you would think that they would not add tickets to this BP event :mad:

I know you said in your opening post that you keep reporting that majors are broken. Are they working on it or ignoring you the same way that they ignore the problems we open with support. I assume that before you report that majors are fixed again you will make sure that someone from "the team" actually takes the time to run a comprehensive test.

I mean, all the players really do is complain about everything. So since every feature gets complained about at some point, when a new one comes out we forget the long list of other complaints they are still trying to fix haven't gone away. I just figure they are fixing things in the order they are complained about. Can't just drop what they were doing now because people say jump and expect the workers to ask how high.

I know you can't give us exact details but can we expect any new features, feed bonuses, a new keepsake collection, new events, any of the good and juicy things that we plead for on a daily basis? Also, new grapevine rumor is that the next Study Abroad can only be done on one character. Do you have a comment on that to lay that rumor to rest? Also pass along that a glam mixup feature would be really nice. Where we can mix and match shirts and pants and so on. Oh if I could and knew how I'd so work for Playdom and set up some nice things. This is an UTTER insult to your customers, whether they are VIP OR NOT.. we were ALL affected by the gifting SCREWUP and you've already lost customers. You think the next time something major gets screwed up that those that haven't already ditched will stick around?? THINK AGAIN.

I wanted to ask about the capelet in the fairytale adventure. When it was first released it was under neckwear in our closets, which was perfect! Then it got moved to extras, which to be blunt is rather dumb. When the capelet was neckwear, I could put it on my avi and hold my crystal ball, epic sword, purse, umbrella, whathaveyou. That fits wonderfully for dressing up your avis. Now with the capelet in extras, we have to chose between our capelet, and our crystal balls, swords, purses, umbrellas, etc. Oh, but we can put on the capelet and a necklace. :/ I haven't found anything that layers right that way...

Can you please ask the team to move the capelet back to neckwear!!!!!

Also it's more of an annoyance than a real wardrobe issue, but some of the fairytale outfits are quite miscategorized. The red riding outfit and the leather adventure outfit are 2 that come to mind. Really? Playdom thinks those are casual wear? Those look more like costume wear to me. And that striped cardigan and jeans outfit isn't all that athletic, that's casual.

I'll also echo the question about the hairs from post 11, why does one sit fine and the other two hover too high? Of course now I'm afraid that Playdom will, instead of fixing the two that are too high, ruin the one that sits fine.

Finally, the 5-day gifting, yeah the items were OK, but the timing was really bad. Way to take a perfect built-in holiday and mess it up. I'd still like to know why Playdom has been moving the 5 day gifting to starting days besides Monday. That really throws most of us off and honestly it seems like Playdom wants players to miss out on the free glam from these lately, between the odd start days and the short allowed collection time of the 5-day gifts in particular. :( I managed to get all the items, but I know of a lot of sisters and misters who missed something along the way, mainly due to their expiring at the end of their release day.

^^^ Agreed with all this. The Capelet belongs in neckwear and the clothing items are miscategorized.

Also, we need to have Wings in their own sub-category, like bracelets. There are enough now to warrant that.

On the subject of the 5 days, I'd really like to know what benefit it gives PD for not only releasing them to cover on weekends AND for expiring them at the end of 24 hours? If someone has 10 characters, they have to spend 10 HOURS a DAY on SL! 10 HOURS A DAY FOR 5 DAYS! Did you hear me PD? Really? Don't you think that is placing the expectations too high to assume that you honestly HAVE players that spend 10 HOURS a DAY on SL with the game running as poorly as it does?

Whitney, there are a lot of us that would like to see the 5 days moved back to Mondays, and the gifts kept in our gift center until we are able to collect them. Can you give us any insight as to why this change was made? PD isn't losing any money on it, because the items are free glam.. They release the items for BP's on the first or second day, so -no one- is surprised by the final outfit anymore and there -are- people that will spend the BP's on the items, but why would they if they can see what the final prize is come day two and don't like it?

I just think it would be better suited for PD as a business move to release the 5 days on Mondays, release the items as say a "last chance" on the last day of the collection for BP's, AND give us the opportunity to collect the gifts when our time allows. It's not very practical to assume that everyone stays home, on their computers day in and day out to play SL. I get as a company PD probably wants to increase their DAU, but this is NOT the way to do it. If anything, I feel this is alienating the very little customers PD has left, paying or not.

That is really hard to believe, unless your staff has 3 answer buttons that they click randomly. Once I got the "we're aware of the problem ...." e-mail in answer to thanking for actually fixing a problem. So for me it's hard to believe that the tickets are actually read ....

As for information/notification on customer support site: the last about game issues is from willa on January 25th, before that all other notifications were from August/September last year. Nothing on wb, intramurals or any other current issues.

Besides I'd love an update on the other issues mentionned in my post.

I still play SL because I like spending time with my sisters, however I canceled my VIP membership and won't buy anymore BPs (unless through 3rd parties like using online retailers that gve you BPs)

It's pretty clear why playdom tampered with the 5 day collections, make it very hard to get the items so they can push the BP event to make up for missed items. I think it's fascinating how we had gift glitches for weeks and the tech guys couldn't figure out what to do. However deleting the collection items after 24 hours works perfectly fine.

I don't have any either, but ssshhhhh! ;) Maybe if they launch a wings tab they'll release a bunch of wings to fluff up the tab, then us unlucky at galas and unwilling to spend bookoo BP type players can finally have some. Kinda like they did with the ridiculous amount of tights and bracelets we suddenly have in the fairytale SA. I mean we even got a tights in a puzzle piece for Pete's sake. :/

Really? Playdom thinks those are casual wear? Those look more like costume wear to me. And that striped cardigan and jeans outfit isn't all that athletic, that's casual.

I'll also echo the question about the hairs from post 11, why does one sit fine and the other two hover too high? Of course now I'm afraid that Playdom will, instead of fixing the two that are too high, ruin the one that sits fine.

Finally, the 5-day gifting, yeah the items were OK, but the timing was really bad. Way to take a perfect built-in holiday and mess it up. I'd still like to know why Playdom has been moving the 5 day gifting to starting days besides Monday. That really throws most of us off and honestly it seems like Playdom wants players to miss out on the free glam from these lately, between the odd start days and the short allowed collection time of the 5-day gifts in particular. :( I managed to get all the items, but I know of a lot of sisters and misters who missed something along the way, mainly due to their expiring at the end of their release day.

I'm not sure why the Capelet was moved, however, I'll see if I can find out the reason/or see if I can get it back. I understand where you're coming from on this.

I also understand where you're coming from about the 5 Day Gifting, however, these events are simply there to reward those of you who log in everyday and stay clued in with new content!

On the subject of the 5 days, I'd really like to know what benefit it gives PD for not only releasing them to cover on weekends AND for expiring them at the end of 24 hours? If someone has 10 characters, they have to spend 10 HOURS a DAY on SL! 10 HOURS A DAY FOR 5 DAYS! Did you hear me PD? Really? Don't you think that is placing the expectations too high to assume that you honestly HAVE players that spend 10 HOURS a DAY on SL with the game running as poorly as it does?

Whitney, there are a lot of us that would like to see the 5 days moved back to Mondays, and the gifts kept in our gift center until we are able to collect them. Can you give us any insight as to why this change was made? PD isn't losing any money on it, because the items are free glam.. They release the items for BP's on the first or second day, so -no one- is surprised by the final outfit anymore and there -are- people that will spend the BP's on the items, but why would they if they can see what the final prize is come day two and don't like it?

I just think it would be better suited for PD as a business move to release the 5 days on Mondays, release the items as say a "last chance" on the last day of the collection for BP's, AND give us the opportunity to collect the gifts when our time allows. It's not very practical to assume that everyone stays home, on their computers day in and day out to play SL. I get as a company PD probably wants to increase their DAU, but this is NOT the way to do it. If anything, I feel this is alienating the very little customers PD has left, paying or not.

I think the 5 Day Gifting may have been moved to take place partially during weekends specifically due to the fact that we wanted to give those of you with demanding weekday jobs the opportunity to collect the gifts on your time off. I'll let the team know that this is not necessarily ideal for all and see what they can do.

Part of the challenge of the 5 Day Gifting events is that you are on a deadline of sorts. This always makes me feel a sense of accomplishment and dedication, which makes the item that much more valuable to me when I see it in my closet. The issue is almost rooted in economic theory, really... haha.

Anyway, I'm rambling but I hope this gives you a bit more insight into the current state of 5 Day Gifting.

There used to be notification at the top of the game when you were challenged to a walk off and the notification that "you haven't talked to your little sister today" was always there too.

can you tell me why when playing on my mini everyone who shows on my fight list is several levels above me? on my lvl 56 mini there is 1 lvl58 and 2 lvl59s, the majority are lvl 60 and above. i know i am not the only one with this problem on a mini but it makes it hard to complete fight goals for majors because no matter how glammed you are its hard to beat someone who is more than 10 lvls higher

Fact is that the game has so many patches that as soon as they start implementing something new one of the patches fails. This game needs to be recoded. I don't understand why they put one patch on top of another.

Each time they come out with a new feature something else glitches.

My main has an energy of 435, which should be FILLED (plus whatever she already had, since there's no "does not go above max" disclaimer), yet the energy never gets completely filled. Instead she ends up with only 425-430 Energy.

So, there's a tiny, easy-to-fix glitch for the tech guys (or gals. No idea who you have in there).

*edit* Just used a Smoothie on my Level 88 who has a max Energy of 170 - the Smoothie only gave 168 Energy. She was at Zero.

My experiencies that at me 7 energy dont count. So 100% means 305 at my main (which has 312) and for instance 73 at a mini which has 80. But same actually also is valid for Mocha's. There the 40 - 30 etc percentage is also calculated on my main from 305, not from 312. Only thing it goes correct is a level up, that does go to max.

For players who play since ages this is indeed a "known issue" for as long as they play, nobody even takes the trouble of ticketing for it or mentioning it. But of course it is incorrect.

The effect of arranging it like this is that active sisters (online sisters) get their gift returned fast. And than I get maxed out. And all gift lower on list stay unreturned. And there are all my sisters who are smaller housed and on at different hours.
If I'm in a rush I return from top, if I'm being nice I return from bottom.
So overall, the more random division in MC might have been much better for smaller housed or not 24/7 active players...

As someone who has a larger house, and A LOT of UNKNOWNS, and for someone who has an OCD tendency of keeping active players in her house, it becomes quit the chore to search for unknowns one at a time, select sister to boot, and click confirm, rinse and repeat for like 6 pages of unknowns.

I'd really like for you to suggest that maybe we can get like a check box with each name to select and a boot all and then a confirm? IDK if it would be possible but I know *I* personally would appreciate it, if not some other people too!

I want to assure you that the team takes responsibility for this error on their part, and understands your frustration. Most of you have noticed that there are two different versions of this item available in the game, and because of this error, one of them was mistakenly released. Exclusive items from special collections and in game events will continue to be exclusive, and in no way did the team mean to diminish the value of the prize from the Holiday Countdown.

The team is currently working on a special (exclusive) item to be credited to those players that had previously earned the dress from the Holiday Countdown event in order to make up for this mistake. I hope that this item will be something that you enjoy, and my apologies again for this!

All,

I want to assure you that the team takes responsibility for this error on their part, and understands your frustration. Most of you have noticed that there are two different versions of this item available in the game, and because of this error, one of them was mistakenly released. Exclusive items from special collections and in game events will continue to be exclusive, and in no way did the team mean to diminish the value of the prize from the Holiday Countdown.

The team is currently working on a special (exclusive) item to be credited to those players that had previously earned the dress from the Holiday Countdown event in order to make up for this mistake. I hope that this item will be something that you enjoy, and my apologies again for this!

Yes, Whitney, please look into this for us.
I have been VIP since the beginning and spent tons of money besides on the EXCLUSIVE glam. I am angry that my real money was spent on things that were supposed to be limited to those exclusive offers and events.

Okay, a lot of people were let down by the not really valentine 5-day gifting. (And there are some of us that don't really give a rat's butt about Valentine's Day in the first place...)

So here's my suggestion/request - a super duper completely awesome St. Patrick's 5-day! Please!!! I feel that (especially for someone who loves green and Celtic things) St. Patrick's is a hugely over looked holiday. (Not to mention an Ireland study abroad would be fabulous.) And in the past I think we've had 5-days for most of the other holidays (New Year's, Valentine's Day, Easter, Mardi Gras, Black Friday, 4th of July, and Christmas). We've even had special campus events for some (Valentine's Day, Christmas and Halloween).

In summary, a St. Patrick's 5-day or event pretty please. :)

Being Irish myself, I definitely endorse this idea!! Thanks!

Looks like this will be another late start.

Running list of issues:

Gifts still keep vanishing, interestingly enough this happened a lot as soon as the pop up with the "amazing" sale got introduced
Jumping page when voting - this goes on for months and no reaction so far if we can expect this to be fixed
WB empty a random intervals, can't read post from non sisters on wbs
Intramurals not loading

And my pet peeve - customer support e-mails that have nothing to do with the question asked
