Hi everyone,

I wish I could be updating you with better news, but unfortunately, gifting is still not fixed. We've isolated the issue, however, it is a larger issue than we thought and therefore it will take a bit longer than expected. Those of you continuing to send in tickets about this issue might receive a link to this knowledge base article:

Well where to beginn .... as for gifting I'm not able to receive anything since Jan. 14th. About 20 minutes ago I was able to accepot a few gifts, the counter showed 563, but alas after 3 minutes everything was gone again.

I did got a refund for my VIP and I'm thankful for that, even sent a thank you mail and got as answer: we are aware of the problem and hope this issue will be resolved soon.

A big step in the right direction. However I do hope that you will come up with a solution so that all affected will be able to finish Fairyland or will get all the glam we could have earned there, if you close this SA before gifting is repaired.

Other issues:

Voting is very hard to do, jumping screen makes it really hard. You have to zoom out down to 60%, this is not doable for everyone. Also I noticed that I have to click several times for the same sister. With a big house this ends up being a task for 1 hour or more.

Slow loading of events today, I heard it has been an issue in SA and I experienced an incredible lag on campus too.

Cutoff screen on Sweetheart page. If you want to stalk your SH and it happens to be the last on the visible part you can't use the stalk button.

At the very least there should be a considerable extension in the study abroad AND those players should get a credit of tickets to make up for all the time/collecting they have lost.

yes, that's the very least playdom could do is extend the study abroad so that the people who have been without gifts have the chance to finish it. i don't know about others, but for me personally that would go a long way to make up for this gifting glitch.

I still think playdom should add a banner to the SL page itself with a little note that there are many players affected and that you're working on it (other game suppliers to that too). For sisters that don't have the problem it can come across as rudeness that their gifts or requests aren't returned.

Besides the article above also the Known Issues is finally updated. Very Good. I still cannot resist myself from pointing out that it took 8 months or more and for instance 7 tickets from me alone before that finally happened. I hope now someone is WEEKLY going to update that post, or as soon as news, good or bad, is available.

Currently Investigating (Updated 1/24/2012)

Gifting: Our top priority at the moment is fixing an issue in which Gifts disappear from your Message Center. We sincerely appreciate your patience as we work actively to resolve this issue.
Let me again point out that the gifting issue has TWO appearances: the one in which people loose them from MC, but new send gifts appear directly after,
OR
NOT ANY SEND GIFT ever shows up in the MC, and from FB gifs the "Oops Maintenance" page. This is now day 13 of this.
One addition. TODAY for first time, if you claim from FB, yiu get the OOPS page, but the gift DOES appear i your swag. I was able to collect some gifts this way. But no return, no request etc. So to max out on gifts takes me 1.5 hour instead of 10 minutes...




I'm working on brainstorming ways in which we can make up for this terrible error! I can't even tell you how sad it's been making me. :(

Besides compensation in BPs, GLAM or whatsoever, AT LEAST TWO WEEKS EXTRA FOR THIS SA.
All SA's I have done on my 10 avi's. Now I am after 3 weeks only at 10%, and I DO have a RL as well...



Are there any other issues I should pass along?

Other issues:
4 issues which I miss:
- Feed acts up like crasy, But that is not new. But a big runover to make feed more reliable is VERY welcome.
- House awards AGAIN Don't work. This over last two years is a reappearing issue. This time it stayed working for smth like 4 months before it broke again, which was arecord.
- Little Sister/Big Sister: I am on one av a little sister, on all others Big Sister. By miracle that became correct 2 months ago. As by miracle this week I am assigned big sisters again, which of course gives error. And it is so simple: Bouquet gone, Paddle received = BIG SISTER. Always.
- Intramurals is mention in KNOWN ISSUES, but not mentioned is the NOT LOADING AT ALL from intramurals.

Of course there are more. But at this moment slipped my mind.
Above issues ONLY to be adressed of course after gifts are 100% working and foolproof.

I do agree with the folks who have said that a long extension to this Study Abroad is in order. People are going to be 3 weeks behind the 8 ball and many of them will want to complete Fairytale Adventure on multiple characters.

I'd also suggest a fairly sizeable amount of tickets be granted to those with the problems in order to hasten their progress - this could even be done BEFORE gifting is completely fixed. Giving them 1,000 tickets each or something is easy enough and will at least give them some new glam when they use them. Keep in mind that's only 4 days worth of tickets and many people have been completely giftless for 3 or 4 times longer than that.

You might also want to think about some kind of glam item similar to the Holiday Countdown issue.

Other stuff:

*Sometimes gifts randomly disappear. This is not the same as the folks who cannot receive gifts at all; this just means that you lose everything you have queued in your Message Center. New gifts will show up later on. A far less annoying but still unacceptable glitch from a technical perspective.
*Page auto-scrolling in Chrome is really annoying. Please make this stop!
*The wrapping on the sweetheart tab doesn't work right and hence some of them may be too low for you to "stalk"
*"Attack Again" button still disappears when you're fighting
*House Awards are broken again

Thanks for getting the Warrior Dress fixed and thanks for getting the 5th tab working in Fairytale Adventure yesterday.

Found the answer myself but I know many will not: You have to be LOGGED in at the zendesk support pages, to get the "subscribe" option in the top right, ABOVE the tweet/FB like...
I think many are going to click the Facebook Like and think they subscribed...

It's fairly easy, as long as you are logged in with Zendesk. Simply select "subscribe" at the upper right hand corner of the field.

so maybe a little note that you have to be logged in would be nice .... you can't see the button they're talking about if you're not logged in. And playdom having issues with stuff dissapearing this could be another glitch ....

I am pleased that this gifting issue is being addressed. It is VERY frustrating. I think affected players should all receive complimentary tickets and 30 free BPs as compensation. I sincerely hope that this study abroad will be extended by 3 weeks to compensate for this.

Other issues:

My on campus glam page will not load sometimes whilst other times it will. I sent in my first ticket on this issue in October and it still keeps happening. When this happens I have to buy any new limited edition glam abroad if we have a study abroad and if not I have to hope it will load again tomorrow. It also means I cannot buy anything in the vintage boutique.

The bottom of the sweethearts page is missing so the bottom boyfriend cannot be stolen.

The attack again button often is often missing when fighting from the fight list causing us to scroll further to look for our target which takes a lot of time when using up 30 stamina. Or else we have to go to the target's page and from there we cannot access our swag.

The swag has been loading really slowly for me for the past few days and when I click on something it will not increase my confidence, energy or stamina immediately but seems to take ages.

Edited to add:

I am now aware that when a ticket is marked "solved" it does not mean that the team think the issue is solved, it merely means that the ticket has been responded to. i think this wording should immediately be changed to "answered" or "acknowledged" or "replied to" as marking it solved is VERY misleading causing the person who submitted the ticket to think that Playdom thinks the issue IS solved. I'm not sure who thought it would be a good idea to mark the tickets as solved when they obviously are not, but it causes unnecessary confusion and upsets players who expect that this means their issue will be fixed and it hasn't been. This and the auto responses also are making the players feel ignored by Playdom.

If this is occurring after you have attacked a player of a lower level than you 15 times, this is unfortunately not a glitch!

So I can attack a lower level a max of 15 times. However a strong low level can attack me as many times as she feels like? It would make more sense if it comes to a stop once you hit 15 wins.

No, if you attack someone lower than your level a 16th time you'll get a message about not being a bully. This happens when you've maybe only hit someone (whether your level or not) 2 times and they are NOT in the spa yet - they still show on your fight list. It's just that you have to scroll down the fight list to find them again to attack instead of being able to hit Attack Again.

Thanks for putting something in the 5th glam slot -I was kinda hoping for something new instead of the dress that sold out last night already but beggars can't be chosers ;)

I disagree. If someone lower than you is beating you continually, you either need to make the appropriate changes to your character to not allow that to happen, or resign yourself to the fact that you don't care. If someone with less skill points available to allocate than you can beat you it's not her fault, it's yours.

As Krista had said this happens when attacking someone your own level or higher when attacking on the fight list. This sometimes happens to me when I attack someone for the first time of the day. I'm level 192 so my fight list shows up the same people a lot of the time. I repeat attack people who give me good money for my win. This "attack again" button being missing doesn't stop me from repeat attacking but it does make it more difficult. i want the attack again button to come back and stay back until the target is in the spa.

We have mentioned this issue before and you said you'd look into it. Whitney, when you play on SL and you attack people from the fight list has it happened to you? as far as I know it's happening to everyone.

that depends how you built your character, I can see that a socializer gets beat up by a warrior type

Well, like I said, resign yourself to the fact that you don't care, then, because you're just a socializer. But at any rate, fighting is a large part of this game. There are lots of other fashion based NON-fighting games out there (none of which I can actually name, of course) if people just don't like fighting and can't stand to be attacked. If that is the case this is a bad game for them.

Sorry to jack your thread, Whitney (although I suspect you might appreciate a little misdirection today ;))

Toy Maker submitted a ticket for me for this on 12/29/11 and I have not gotten to respond since nor have I received anything in email nor can I view it...

The 15 fight limit does not apply when fighting someone of your level or higher and I can still fight someone an unlimited amount of times, but I need to scroll longer through the fight list or go on to their page to do it.

Also if you only care about socialising and not about fighting then it shouldn't matter to you if you're loosing fights. I personally am a hybrid so I socialise and I fight and care about my stats.

Thanks Whitney, I am sorry but as JustRon has explained the gifting issue is only one of many, many ongoing issues with this game. 'I'm working on brainstorming ways in which we can make up for this terrible error' - tells me there has never been a policy in place for compensating players for the many on going issues in this game. The repeated response received when we submit a ticket to support that 'we are aware of the issue and working on it' is a joke. I will be doing my best to take these complaints to a higher authority as I am certainly getting no value for my money from Playdom. I hope other players will do the same. bennie

Actually a note on the use of DATES on an internationally used forum: 5/8/2011 is for some August 5 (dd/mm/yyyy) and for others May 5, (mm/dd/yyyy) (which in my honest opinion it was...). So much better to use an scientific yyyy/mm/dd (which is proven to be read correctly by Americans and Europeans)* or May 8, 2011 - 8th May 2011.
Why I bother to even react on this?
1) Too much time on my hands with no gifts.....lol.
2) Still irritated...

* and Australians etc I guess, but have no proof of that... (did not forget you Bennie)

This way I could claim today about half of normal limit of gifts, it stopped giving mi tickets after about 20 and upgrade gems after 2.

That's true. It's because for some reason it is showing the puzzle pieces you uncovered on OTHER avis; problem is, let's say there's three puzzle pieces showing up as uncovered that come from the OTHER avi, the avi you are on actually does NOT have that glam

Whitney, I'd like to reiterate that it would not be that difficult to give some kind of ticket bonus (and not a 25 ticket bonus, either) to the people who have been without gifts for 2 weeks plus now. At the very least it would be a show of good faith from you and the programming team that you care about their game while this problem is being worked on.

Yep you're right on the date issue and on all the others you brought up tonight. I have to admitt due to lack of SL play time I grew very fond of daily e-mails and forum posting.

Thanks Just Ron - in Australia we use dd/mm/yyyy or 26 January 2012 - so I get extremely confused with American dating !! LOL !!! As a side issue it is Australia Day today - happy Australia Day to my Aussie brothers and sisters - especially those who today are being sworn in as new citizens !!! bennie

Thx Krista! I replied ;) Unfortunately, between Christopher (moderator) and Toy Maker (forum manager) walking me through, none of it worked and I followed the advice step-by-step with SSs w/each. That's why Toy Maker submitted a ticket on my behalf with my email addy. No response from Playdom and Toy Maker has not replied to any other PMs here, ever. I still can't continue in Mystic Tower because I am unable to change my style to wear the fishnet stockings or the shoes. I have tried all day on three different toons in SL and the SA. My feed is a white blank. The screen jumps so badly that I am going to either have to take some Gravol or log off for the night.

Whitney, were the Upgrade "costs" purposefully changed? Mine went up in price of gems & cash on all levels & gems, cash, & BPs on the last level.

This is a good question too. When I went to check on how many gems I'd need for the silver dress on the first level, it was 15, and the last was 7 BPs. Then when I actually had saved the gems and went to do it, it had changed to 17 and 10 BPs!

Yea I had the silver dress FAIL after putting in 25 gems for the 1st level...mostly b/c the change & that I had no idea it would require soooooo many. I won't be upgrading that one past the 1st level, if at all.

When are they actually going to fix the glam we get from majors? Please stop telling people to message you or open a problem and just tell the developers to test the code. If you complete the course with an A the first time you CAN NOT get the "B" exclusive glam. It was fixed for a short time but with one of the many bad untested updates it got broken again. ;-( I hate that you have reported this bug as fixed on more than one occasion. You could try testing it before you tell us that it's fixed. :mad:

When are they actually going to fix the glam we get from majors? Please stop telling people to message you or open a problem and just tell the developers to test the code. If you complete the course with an A the first time you CAN NOT get the "B" exclusive glam. It was fixed for a short time but with one of the many bad untested updates it got broken again. ;-( I hate that you have reported this bug as fixed on more than one occasion. You could try testing it before you tell us that it's fixed. :mad:

I already stated that in previous week thread: the MAJORS "fix" ONLY meant that it the staying stuck at the end of a certain course was fixed, you can progress again.
But the "functionality"of Majors itself did not change, is still broken: You finish course a firts time, you get unigue price for grade you finish it with, second time WHATEVER grade, you get the "2nd time"prize. That would be correct if it WAS the same grade (2nd time A, 2nd time B etc) but is NOT CORRECT if it was the first time another grade: So you did A 1st time you finish -> unique prize, 2nd time you finish with a B, but that is first time ever that you finish with B, SHOULD GET UNIQUE B PRIZE. you will NOT get that < not fixed error.

As Krista had said this happens when attacking someone your own level or higher when attacking on the fight list. This sometimes happens to me when I attack someone for the first time of the day. I'm level 192 so my fight list shows up the same people a lot of the time. I repeat attack people who give me good money for my win. This "attack again" button being missing doesn't stop me from repeat attacking but it does make it more difficult. i want the attack again button to come back and stay back until the target is in the spa.

We have mentioned this issue before and you said you'd look into it. Whitney, when you play on SL and you attack people from the fight list has it happened to you? as far as I know it's happening to everyone.

The fight list nowadays looks extremely differently compare with the last year. As far as I heard, unless I'm under level 15 I will always see the same people on the fight list on all levels. Many times people who are several levels higher showing up on my fight list. Even on my level 19 mini I can sometimes see level 24 there. However on my level 141 main I could sometimes see level 142 due to lack of people active. If the experience per level structure were different, my main could be like 19 levels higher (ie. level 160) than what it was and the people on the fight list could be like 3 or even 4 levels higher (ie. level 163-4).

Let me know if there are level 150+ people's fight list look like, but most likely when they hit level 150 people who are 3 or more levels higher will start showing up.

The "attack again" issue should be for low level accounts, because the people on the fight list changes dramatically to make people difficult to find the same person, but they can click on the profile of the person they attack to attack again.

Here is how my fight list look like on my 141, everyone are also at level 141 (they are most likely the same person showing, but I don't include the names here):

that depends how you built your character, I can see that a socializer gets beat up by a warrior type

The purpose of start playing this game in September 2010 is to try to fix my misplaced skill points that I have made so far and therefore I had majority of my skill points on popularity (defense). Then I slowly added more energy for the events that have crazy energy requirements in this game, and then stamina for the Philanthropy events. This is why my charm (attack strength) is so low. Later I found out that I have too much on energy (the repeated mistake!) that should have been placed on popularity and maybe confidence, despite having over half of my skill points in popularity. But most attackers have maxed out house size but I don't and that's why I'm losing more lately (actually most attackers have over 600 fighting house but I don't, so if the achievements can actually reflects the maximum usable real people in fights I should understand I need to spend money here for boarders (after about level 110 or so to stay at full house) and LE glam).

I am pleased that this gifting issue is being addressed. It is VERY frustrating. I think affected players should all receive complimentary tickets and 30 free BPs as compensation. I sincerely hope that this study abroad will be extended by 3 weeks to compensate for this.

I believe if the gifting issue were never fixed, we would need 500 boarders on top of some (at least 100) BPs, which is the people who benefited during the casino glitch, to be enough for compensation. Even if it is fixed, 30 BPs won't be enough, they should gives us some free boarders (about 5 or maybe 10) as well because this is a huge fault that should not be happening to us for weeks.



I am now aware that when a ticket is marked "solved" it does not mean that the team think the issue is solved, it merely means that the ticket has been responded to. i think this wording should immediately be changed to "answered" or "acknowledged" or "replied to" as marking it solved is VERY misleading causing the person who submitted the ticket to think that Playdom thinks the issue IS solved. I'm not sure who thought it would be a good idea to mark the tickets as solved when they obviously are not, but it causes unnecessary confusion and upsets players who expect that this means their issue will be fixed and it hasn't been. This and the auto responses also are making the players feel ignored by Playdom.

I wish Playdom can be responsibly deal with technical issues. Take care!

Well, you didn't write me back about the issue i've told you, Whitney. It's been a month, already. I still don't have both of my grades fixed, didn't recieved the exclusive B prize (the famous butterfly tights, although i've tried a lot - and i mean A LOT - to get). This is really frustrating. It's not something new, everyone knows what is going on, i sent so many tickets talking about this problem, they never wrote me back, never answered none of my complaints... It makes me wonder if it's still worth it.

You used really the same words. I know PD's / zendesk meaning of "solved" already for months, have had long discussion with them, even a few personal replies. Since that moment the "disclaimer" started to appear about the meaning of the solved status.
But as you state as well: It will keep on giving confusion, and with that unwanted extra workload on support desk.
I can see through "labels" and understand that what it says (solved) is not equal to what they mean with it (answered).
For most people it is still: if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck and looks as a duck...it is a penguin...uh...DUCK of course!

OMG the "B" glam is still not dropping from majors I got another stupid 1x Adam The Artiste. :mad:

When are they actually going to fix the glam we get from majors? Please stop telling people to message you or open a problem and just tell the developers to test the code. If you complete the course with an A the first time you CAN NOT get the "B" exclusive glam. It was fixed for a short time but with one of the many bad untested updates it got broken again. ;-( I hate that you have reported this bug as fixed on more than one occasion. You could try testing it before you tell us that it's fixed. :mad:

I made the same mistake with my Big Girl, level 156, she has way too much energy. But I'm getting there with my skill points. I do have a big house, 1240 incl. 220 boarders so that will help when I reach the feared level 200.

I got my sheer white tights from a ticket I put in. I included screenshots of me getting an A prize for a B. When they gave me the canned reply I replied politely but firmly that I was only asking for what I earned and that I didnt feel like I should have to keep doing a 7 day course over and over wondering when and if it would ever be fixed.

Maybe some ways to fix this situation is, reward all the players who sent in the tickets and you know who has this issue the in-game tickets in order to complete this study aboard or how many tickets you would get ever since it started,also energy since we cannot collect any. Another thing maybe giving us some bps or a glam for the whole frustration. Finally a extension on this SA since I would like to be able to do everything on there and get all the crafting items and bonus's. I know a lot of people would be grateful if you did these things so please consider it.

I know I'm going to have an unpopular opinion, but I do not think that only those reporting the issue should get BPs or glam. I understand it is horrible and that Playdom needs to do something for all those effected. I have been able to collect gifts. However I have noticed that I receive gifts (I see the pop up) and then there are no gifts to collect. It is random and not constant so I have not reported it as I just don't feel like dealing with the lack of customer service.

I do feel that Playdom should get tickets and energy swag to those who have reported the issue pronto! Especially knowing that though some have had their issue fixed, many still have no gifts. But BPs and glam for only those effected? No. I think Playdom in a show of good faith should award all active players BPs or glam to say "we're really sorry about this issue". And then work to fix it and all the other issues.

Especially since things that are supposed to be rewards and special never are... (Examples: City of Wonder dress, Holiday countdown dress, BP buying hair, etc.)

I see what you guys are saying but I meant that people who sent in tickets and you know who has this issue since I don't think they can just automatically find everyone with this current issue and I said that for tickets and energy, now for bps and glam items maybe bps aren't as necessary maybe giving everyone a I'm sorry for our game not working properly item since I'm pretty sure almost everyone is experiencing some sort of issue

Me being one of the ppl on day 14 of no gifts, I agree that it would NOT be fair to give out bp's to those affected by this gifting glitch, cuz it would not be fair to the ppl who have had their gifts working. What would be fair is to extend the SA by as many weeks as it takes to fix this glitch so that we have a chance to complete the SA --cuz if we cannot complete the SA we will lose out on bp's and boarders.

I wholeheartedly agree. The best compensation for those affected should be the number of days w/o gifts multiplied by 50 tickets & 25 energy. That's just ONE character, mind you, and most take more that one avi through, so an extension of the S.A. for the number of days w/o gifts should happen. Awarding BPs & special glam is more than needed. All anyone really wants is:
1) the time back to complete the events (which could be given through an extension),
2) the tickets & energy that they would have collected during that time (which is hard b/c PD doesn't know how many avis one was planning, but at the VERY least giving a full-collection of both for one avi would be a good start), and
3) to have the issue fixed and better customer service/technical support who actually respond to tickets personally rather than using a form letter. Another game company actually answers the emails with personal attention, and this company is the one people are raving about.

Thank you. I agree. And you have a fabulous attitude about it. I was not/am not affected by the gift glitch (in so far as not having any at all, though I've had mine disappear). But I am taking a break from SL after this S.A. b/c I am sticking up for my sisters who had problems as well as for the lack of customer service this company has. I feel for everyone that has had problems w/the gifts. *huggles*

I'm on day 12 without gifts/requests
I started doing Fairyland on 7 avis and I would hope to get the tickets and energy items for those characters.
Also I hope they extend SA so we can catch up, if not they should give the glam we missed from the puzzle and last tab incl. the final dress.

And yes send the customer people to get some training, those canned e-mails made everything worse.

Since the "bully build" avi's have zero in pop, and even not very high confidence or stamina they have an overload in charm, so from these few you will always loose.
But a max number to defend yourself with helps quite a bit.
Meaning your 220 boarders is already 60 short for the max at your current level 156. And at level 200 of course you should have raised it to 500 boarders.
And a number of real sisters bigger than 500 does not help anything in strenght: sisters helping in count is maxed at 500.
So start collecting boarders from minis (a avi level 142 can collect 21, current max is 27 from campus, besides sa ones) and collect sets of 75BPs to buy with best offer boarders....
(my max Just Ron, level 223: 571 Boarders, which means 49 short of max for my level)

Toy Maker submitted a ticket for me for this on 12/29/11 and I have not gotten to respond since nor have I received anything in email nor can I view it...


We have looked into this on our end and unfortunately not seeing any good reason why you're not seeing the field! At this point, unfortunately, the best advice I can offer you would be to create another Zendesk account with an alternate email address.

I know this isn't ideal, sorry!

BTW Whitney: Whatever compensation is made, I can live with it: per definition it is a compromise.
But extension of this SA is what everyone asks for and is the one to start from.
So that one could already be announced isn't it?

I have TEN puzzle pieces as showing as collected. I only have 6 glam. I can't select a specific puzzle piece to collect, because there is an alignment issue. I have like ten pieces waiting to be collected since I can't fully use my puzzle.

Any word on THAT?

I had an issue with one of my characters that showed puzzle pieces already placed. But when I hovered my mouse over pieces that I KNEW should not have been filled, it would allow me to select that piece. Try holding your mouse over different pieces to see if it lets you.

We've isolated the issue, however, it is a larger issue than we thought and therefore it will take a bit longer than expected. Hello-- just popping in to report that some of my housemates are reporting their gifts are now coming in. So i have to say thank you Whitney and team. as much as i have complained this last couple weeks. I am pleased to see some happy housemates again. I hope that this will be fixed for all who have been without. And on another important note- please do extend the duration of this SA, so that they can finish it. As you are aware- most of us are SL addicts, and it would be unfortunate for some to have missed out on glam. we all want the ability to collect everything we can get our hands on. :) Thanks again.

I hope that this will be fixed for all who have been without. And on another important note- please do extend the duration of this SA, so that they can finish it. As you are aware- most of us are SL addicts, and it would be unfortunate for some to have missed out on glam. we all want the ability to collect everything we can get our hands on. :) Thanks again.

OMG! I *just* had a brilliant idea!! In addition to extending the S.A. about 2 weeks, TO HELP THOSE WITH THE GIFTING ISSUE:

REMOVE ticket and espressos limits for 2-3 weeks. Allowing EVERYONE to collect an UNLIMITED amount would 1) allow ALL with the 2 gifting issues (random deletions and none at all) to collect all they need on all avis, 2) it would be fair to both those who never submitted a ticket as well, and 3) it would allow those who wanted to take 1 or 10 avis through to do so w/o limitations. It solves the issues!! And those who were not affected can either just ping pong tickets to help sisters w/the issues OR not collect at all since they are done, so they are not really affected.

I may be missing something, but it seems to me that would solve the fairness issue and help those who are/were without gifts.

It shouldn't be that hard to code...I mean, if you go into the code, you would just have to "comment out" the limit code (using the //{gift limit code}//) or remove the limit=50 or however it's coded.

I think THAT would be WONDERFUL!

that would work for me. I haven't had (much) gifting issues and have put the avis through that I wanted through, still working on one, so being able to collect more than 50 tickets wouldn't do anything for me while it would help out all those affected. I would be willing to still send to sisters in need but I wouldn't really get anything out of it except a stock pile of tickets I don't need. I'm not sure they can make it limitless though...

It seems there are still a bunch of errors, but on the other hand some things have been fixed... I guess we have to be thankful for some of the fixes.

Hopefully soon everything will be back to "normal".

One suggestion I have and I have said this many times... Take a little longer break before the next SA, Do not Rush it Playdom. It seems that the last two SA's have been full of errors and it seems that a lot of other errors pop-up when a new SA starts.

I agree! Playdom: SLOW IT DOWN. Take time. Let us take a break while you test & work out the bugs. We would rather be "bored" for a week than be frustrated at glitches & bugs that go on and on for months.

I know... I rather be bored than mad. Obviously a lot of people love this game and it is very frustrating when you can't play properly.

Instead of putting up a new SA so quickly, take your time with it and make sure everything is OK.

Maybe add a new Event or two on Campus during the break between SA's.

I have mentioned this to you at least THREE times last week, and ONCE this week. Now, I understand that the gifting issue is your top priority, but to be blatantly ignored when you specifically asked for additional problems is a bit ridiculous.

I have TEN puzzle pieces as showing as collected. I only have 6 glam. I can't select a specific puzzle piece to collect, because there is an alignment issue. I have like ten pieces waiting to be collected since I can't fully use my puzzle.

Any word on THAT?

Did you try my advice? When I had the issue the puzzle showed pieces where I KNEW I hadn't placed any yet, but when I hovered the mouse over those spots it would show "unlock" over the piece and I could click it to open the glam.

No, because it wont select the piece I'm pointing to. Its an alignment issue.

Any word on how we will be recompensated? This could be cleared up before the glitch is fixed, shouldn't take week to figure it out. And it might make waiting some more a bit less painful if we know that we will get something.

Ironically, after the first 3 days where my gifts completely disappeared with everyone else's and then came back in force (700+ appeared in the MC), all my gifts were GONE again as of late Wednesday night/VERY early Thursday morning. So, no. Things are NOT fixed.

I use Firefox, and the screen jumps when I attack, vote, comment on wbs, change my character's outfit, or do Events (in both Campus and the SA). This is frustrating, agitating, and hurts my eyes on top of everything else.

I am a VIP and have also not received my monthly BPs. Typically (maybe I've just been lucky), they appear on the day of my monthiversary for payment. Which was the 28th. I have not received my BPs yet. Before this happened, I WAS considering buying via the HM special - but nope, I refuse to give money to a service that isn't working.

I expect that those of us that have been unable to collect tickets will receive at least 3000 per character to make up for the lapse (yes, that's a little shy of 3 weeks worth), and that some other form of compensation - preferably BPs, and I recommend at LEAST 100 to each player - will be provided to us to make up for the inconveniences and poor customer service that most of us have received (no answers to tickets put in to Support, play errors, etc.) and that will help smooth over quite a bit of what's happened.

As Lorielle and Lilbitofspook said, the in game pop ups don't go away. With the two you listed, that is normal and nothing is wrong. I'm assuming those are the pop ups to vote for your house or share your new look with your sisters, and it is the advertisement pop ups that go away with being VIP, not the in game options.

Did I miss something because I didn't think that anyone was experiencing improvements with the majors. All that happened was that the last bug introduced --- the one where you couldn't start a new course --- got fixed. I don't think that fixing a new bug counts as an improvement when all of the old bugs are still there

are you really seeing pop-up ADS or just game pop-ups? As others have stated game pop-ups are normal. I have been VIP since it was first introduced and am not seeing any pop-up ADS just normal game pop-ups

I guess by now everybody is aware that they're aware (been told in many e-mails ) but at this point I would love to know what happens with Fairyland? Do we get an extension, or will they give all the avis who started Fairyland all the possible glam, SPs and boarders? All things I would love to know and could be cleared up in one staff meeting. This one doesn't need to be handled by the tech guys, even playdom should be aware that this is a different topic ....

I believe if the gifting issue were never fixed, we would need 500 boarders on top of some (at least 100) BPs, which is the people who benefited during the casino glitch, to be enough for compensation. Even if it is fixed, 30 BPs won't be enough, they should gives us some free boarders (about 5 or maybe 10) as well because this is a huge fault that should not be happening to us for weeks.



I wish Playdom can be responsibly deal with technical issues. Take care!

AFAIK everyone who purchased boarders with the casino glitch had their BPs, boarders and other purchases removed.

I'd like to add that I think its a stupid move for PD to throw in our faces pop up ads, that MOST of us WONT see anyway, because we use browser addons that block them.

Perhaps you can take back to the team an idea to make the game work despite of the pop up ads?

The pop up blocker blocks ads that pop up when doing majors and therefore the page doesnt fully load. I'd rather have a fully functioning page than refreshing everytime I want to continue with the majors.

Although my gifts went from 26 (which i could claim) to 572 (which vanished) down to zero...after that gifts coming in stayed, could be returned and also after restarts of browser still work.
Also it seems that more names appeared on the send gift list or request gift list...

We hope it stays like this for us, and if for some of you it still did not start working: sincerely hope it will for you as well soon...

I'm glad the fixing seems to be fixed now. I have a minor issue with gifting: when I receive gifts they don't show up right away, I have to do a hard refresh for them to show up in my gifting centre. I hope this will be fixed.

The only thing I noticed this morning, and this is really minor, quests are loading a bit slow. But at least I can play again :)

No, she was referring to non bonus pop ups while voting. Which is not the same thing as pop up bonuses, although, THOSE are getting out of hand. I am getting bonus pop ups with every click, sometimes two at once.

I always do all the same crafts at one time and so far if I'm doing all the same crafts, all 4 of them I usually get the bonus. I have so far with the barbarian mane and the golden necklace and red shoes. I'm working on the warrior dress now.

I wish I knew about the problems with intramurals. My compete again button doesn't show up and I have to keep reentering the comp to click compete and then it disappears again. I would just say oh well and skip the intramurals but I just decided to try a majors assignment and I have to compete 200 times. Hmmm, yeah a little impossible without a compete again button :mad:

I always do all the same crafts at one time and so far if I'm doing all the same crafts, all 4 of them I usually get the bonus. I have so far with the barbarian mane and the golden necklace and red shoes. I'm working on the warrior dress now.

Remember that Philanthropy also counts for the majors assignments! Go pitch in there!

Is that handy, that a SA is running!
Pitching in Philantrophy counts as well as a "compete" for this Major. Even better: it counts per click for as many as sisters your pitching in for.
So with full set instead of 200 competes in intramurals, just 20 times pitching in....

But how many have you done of each? Sometimes it takes a lot. I got one bonus in 3 tries and another took me 2 weeks to get.

Well, let's see here. 7 Royal Carriages, 7 ornate flower necklaces, 8 gem cuffs, 2 criss cross suede heels, 1 fur trim lace up boots and 4 Epic Swords. That's what i have done so far. I don't know. I craft in 3 or 4's usually. How many more do you think I would have to craft to get the bonus item here?

a lot of people are having to craft up to 18 or 19 of an item before getting the bonus, so i think you still have a bit to go. for most of mine i had to craft 9 items to get the bonus

Whitney, I just wanted to pop in here and say that for some reason Chrome must not like the puzzle or the puzzle pieces as I am still having the issue of collecting the puzzle pieces while on a mini and using Google Chrome. While I DO have another browser to use, I think this should be looked into, because not everyone will have more than one browser to use.

Also, I have the latest edition of Chrome and Flash so that's not an issue here.
