Did anyone else's Upgrade "costs" SUDDENLY CHANGE?

My costs used to be:

Plain to Nice takes 6 total gems (1 to start, 5 to fill bar) + $7,500; 1 day
Nice to Great takes 12 gems (2 to start, 10 to fill bar) + $15,000; 2 days
Great to Superb takes 18 gems (3 to start, 15 to fill bar) + $22,500; 3 days
Superb to Fabulous takes 3 gems + $30,000 + 7 BPs

BUT...NOW they are:

Plain to Nice takes ? total gems (2 to start, X to fill bar) + $10,000; 1 day
Nice to Great takes ? gems (3 to start, X to fill bar) + $20,000; 2 days
Great to Superb takes ? gems (4 to start, 15 to fill bar) + $30,000; 3 days
Superb to Fabulous takes 5 gems + $40,000 + 10 BPs

UGH!, PlayDUMB!

NO WONDER I failed the Silver Dress! It changed! AND...I used 25 total for the "NICE" silver dress & it only filled the bar 1/2 way...bwahahahah!

The gems and bps were not the same for everyone before, they were "testing" it out before releasing to everyone.
The final upgrades cost me (and others) 12 brownie points before the change, so that it actually better now for me.

That's kinda what I wanted to know, actually, was if those who were "more" if it was lowered. Mine went UP, but I'm wondering if some were LOWERED, too, to a mid-point. Huh. Well, as sucky as it is for the ones that got the increase, I hope this means they will be rolling it out to everyone now.

I just start to do the first upgrade of Silver dress.
Guess what? It costs 15 gems to start and 24 gems to fill the bar. I'm sick of the process of clicking "manage gem", "add gem", "manage gem", ....
Why does Playdom keep making the game more of mindless clicks?
They cannot make sth like a box where we enter how many gems we want to add & then click one time
