I'm sorry I'm checking in so late this week... I've been busy trying to track down this persisting gifting issue with the team. SO SO SO FRUSTRATING!!

On that note, have you guys noticed any improvements? Please let me know... up to date information would be very helpful.

Sadly no improvement at all. Since Jan. 14th I have no gifts at all in my message center nor requests. House invites don't work either.
Most frustrating is that you can see your gifts and request come in and even on fb but there is no way to collect, you always get the oops message.

It is more than frustrating to pay for VIP so you can start SA a day early and now I'm (and many others are) benched.

There are several sisters on my Feed in the last couple of minutes that say it is now day 6 without being able to collect any gifts. I don't think the issue has been resolved.
If you have a minute would you check last week's Wednesdays with Whitney? I just wondered if you had any information on the last BP offer? In the past you could purchase the dress & hair for x# of BP's but you could still purchase either just the hair or dress. Once I chose the option to purchase both the hair and dress the offer disappeared. :(

On another note, Is there a reason to why there are more than normal glitches this past week? Did something major happen?
We still can't vote walk offs from someone's page, the pages are jumping like crazy making it very difficult to play, I have someone who shows she is in my house yet she doesn't show me in hers and vice versa for another person and the Upgrade is still not available to all players even though the 4th outfit to upgrade has been released.

On a positive note the painting mix up seems to be working.

Hi Whitney I am not here to shoot the messenger but am now getting extremely upset & demotivated at the lack of support from a team of people controlling a game that's happy to take your money.

I haven't been able to receive gifts for 6 days now so can't get the tickets to continue with my adventure I've even tried to collect them through my FB gift page only to get the message "Oops!!! We are currently undergoing maintenance. We apologize for this inconvenience. Please try again later ",
vote on any WO's, join & help with quests & also I've got many sisters that I house but they don't house me which I think may be due to their house size as a sister who had over 2500 then removed over 300 people then she got me back. It seems to be happening where they have large houses. Could you investigate this problem too at some time because it means that you cannot play with these sisters any more.

I appreciate that you're going to get many complaints here from some now very angry players, which is unfair on you but you are the only person between us & Playdom to communicate with. I think under these circumstance maybe it would be better for us all to have a statement from Playdom as to what exactly is going on here so we can have some confidence in the game & it's team. We all understand it must be a huge problem but NO response is only going to make people even more angry & quit the game.

Filing a ticket has done nothing, with some players getting automated responses saying the same old thing & some getting none.

Hope we hear from you soon.

There's a new glitch in crafting tab. Instead of FUR MOUNTAINEERING DRESS we can craft/get as bonus READY FOR ADVENTURE OUTFIT. And I want this dress so badly

Hey Whitney!

First of all, I'm glad that the glitch on the painting mix-up SA is finally fixed. So I can play it as much as I want until I finish up my tickets,lol.

Second, I'm pleased that PD finally has released a new keepsake collection because it has been too long since they released the previous one.

Third, there is another glitch going on with voting. When you go to someone's profile on the game, you can't vote for their Walk-Off no matter what you try. That's really frustrating and I wonder when the team will be aware of it.

Fourth, this week's crafting bonus is really disappointing. What I mean with is that when you craft Fur Trim Lace-Up Boots, it gives the Ready for Adventure Outfit as a bonus which we already have a chance of getting it through the pack for fairytale adventure event on the vacation tab thanks to collecting fairy figurines. I hope there's a mistake that they are supposed to give Fur Mounteineering Dress as a bonus since it is a different glam and it matches the boots perfectly.

I agree on the non existing communication, it bothers me a lot. If we would be in the loop on the issues and felt that someon out there is taking care, all would probably be a touch better.

I also strongly suggest that as soon as the glitch is fixed the limit for tickets and espressos should be lifted for a week to 10 days. That is the time frame most of us have not been able to collect.

or giving us some more time to finish SA would be nice, too. My gifts are broken so right now I've finished only first tab...

hi i posted the other day about my cash on my main disappearing while doing the quests. I sent in a ticket to playdom and they replied saying to clear the browser cache , which I did but still no cash appeared. Will they check the game logs to see how much cash i had last friday before it disappeared and then verify that it went to 0? I had over 1 billion after 2 years and at level 203.please help me with this problem, I need my cash back!

No, no improvements AT ALL. NOTHING. It's really sad! And more than frustrating. The lack of give a blank that PD is displaying for over a month is, in a word, DISGUSTING. I am writing a formal letter to Disney in regards to this.

That being said, I would appreciate ANY update with why some of us cannot submit tickets. And I have posted the last 2 WwWs about mine specifically, emailed you privately here, and badgered Toy Maker on the Bugs section AND via private message here. I am not getting any response. PLEASE RESPOND! Thank you so much for your being a go-between. Since I cannot submit tickets, the ONLY way I have to contact ANYONE is in the forums.

I bet the CEO of Disney AND every single executive, VP, Board, and mass-media complaints against Playdom, including local media, will NOT like hearing about this.

Whitney, unfortunately it has gotten even worse!! I have not been able to claim a single gift or accept any invites since Saturday. They NEVER show up in the SL gift window, and when I try to claim from FB I get a "down for maintenance" message on a white screen. I have submitted a support ticket, but only get the auto-response. 5 days of no gifts - during an SA, when I need tickets, craft items, etc.. in addition to regular swag!! Was totally psyched over the Fairyland SA, so happy to have that one-day jump on the masses w/ my VIP pass, but have lost FIVE days now, time I will probably never get to make up. Been ranting about this quite a bit, since I have no way to claim gifts I can't play the game...

Hello Whitney...

On Myspace SL we can Vote for style and the Painting Mix Up is working now.

But there are a few errors still...

1. Majors still do not work, still giving wrong prizes and now you can't choose a new course once you complete a course.

2. The Vote button for Walkoffs does not work.

3. You are only allowed a maxium of 2200 housemates.

Also, I am not sure if it is an Error or what, but the New Crafting Item, the Fur Boots Bonus is the Get Ready for Adventure Outfit.

Myspace doesn't have keepsakes to begin with other than the socializing ones, as the system is too different from facebook for how they get them. We can't collect from feed posts.

Ditto on all the problems everybody has already stated.....I sure hope they come up with some FANTASTIC way to compensate us for all this misery they are putting us through not being able to play. I see they don't miss taking my money every month for VIP, and there aren't any glitches with that!!! I think extending Fairytale for X # of days (however long it takes them to get the gifting fixed, as of today it looks like we are going on a WEEK!!!). I find it odd that several people were having the gifting problem since last Thursday, then suddenly I'm having it too come Satur/Sun. Like it was progressively creeping thru SL players. The idea about lifting some of the limits would be good also.

Indeed frustrating. And that is mildly put.
Send you a pm with 20 names & ID's who all have not seen ANY gifts since last friday morning. European time.
So not the slightest hint of ANY improvement. And that list can be easily made much longer.

I hope you can convince your PD collegues that when they check out today the problem is solved. Weather that is at your end of normal workday, or 10 hours later...
It shows more and more that Playdom sincerely have to think about a 24/7 monitoring of servers and major crashes. Making online games for a worldwide audience is NOT a 9 to 5 business, it is a 24/7 one. We all feel strongly that the responsible people dont care...

So on that note: You are a spokesperson / intermediate on behalf of Playdom, and I understand you are in the line of fire here. But if you have the slightest idea that your collegues at Playdom do care, than this would be a very good moment for an official statement from PD management.

On another note:
It becomes unexplanable to players why the Style upgrade is still not rolled out to everyone. Since at this very second the priority should lie at the formentioned issue: maybe is better to take it completely off for 2 weeks or so, and than briong it back for EVERYONE?
With ofcourse a not so exagerated amount of needed gems for the last introduced style upgrade. That is insane.

And who came up with the idea of needing TICKETS for crafting?

You see I already look ahead to other issues, because i hope that the PD team is working around the 24hrs clock to solve the gift issue...so we can go back to business...

This is a good quote. Cuz that is certainly how *I* feel! And yes, an Internet game IS a 24/7 venture, NOT a 9-to-5 job. They need to use some of that Disney money to hire one or two IT techs "after hours"...

I also have house-mates who are at the one-week mark, mine started doing it sometime between Sat. & Sun. - others have just had it start up in the past couple of days... I was just discussing this w/ friends on FB, trying to find a common thread as to why some have gifts & others have glitch, and started wondering - IS THE GIFT GLITCH HAPPENING EXCLUSIVELY TO VIP PLAYERS? So far, everyone I have asked IS also a VIP member, was getting ready to ask more people when I found out Whitney was in da house & rushed here instead... If anyone will provide feedback I will be grateful, whether here or in a PM - if you can not collect gifts are you also a VIP member?

Hello, Whitney.

Like many others, I am having the same gifting issue. When I went to sleep Monday night, I had 650 gifts & requests in my inbox that I couldn't collect due to me being maxed out. When I went to log in the next morning, they had all disappeared. I tried claiming them through facebook's game page, but all I received was an error message. Once noticed the issue, I sent a ticket and received a computer-generated response. I've been logging in the past two days and the problem hasn't been remedied. This is making the SA VERY difficult. I cannot collect or return tickets, crafting items, or swag to participate in quests.

This is making gameplay very frustrating and makes participating in the SA near impossible. In the past few weeks, we've seen more and more features being churned out without the already present issues being fixed - which is only making the already existing glitches worse. Before Playdom decides to roll out any new features, they need to fix the glitches that already exist in their software.

Edit Thank you, Whitney. I understand that you're the middle-woman in all of this and the glitches aren't your fault. It's just disheartening when the developers say that the issue is going to be resolved and it persists or gets worse.

Nope. One thing I am convinced of is that it has NOTHING to do with being a VIP. I pm'd Whitney a list of 20 players who have the problem and only 3 or 4 are VIPs.
But it seems that the percentage of european players (as me and my wife) who had the problems since last friday is much higher than US players.
Different players connect with different servers (as far a s I know) and seems that the servers where many european where connected to, started as the first ones giving problems.

I have trouble with the majors: That is, once you've finished a course from a major, when you click to retake or start a new course, it instead remains the same.

I can accept the gifts though (altough sometimes it puts return the favor or something). Same goes for the house invites.

We all know that it is not you that is causing all of the problems... I guess this is the only place people can complain and atleast someone answers them back. Unfortunately it is you that is taking all of the negativity at the moment.

Majors, Walk Off Voting and House Limits are the only issues right now that I know on Myspace SL.

Sorry you have to come back to nothing but negativity but unfortunately people have been left in the dark for days!! :(
Playdom really needs to run a banner across the game when they are aware of certain problems to let us know that they are indeed aware and working on it, that would prevent some of the discontent. At least we would not feel deserted in the game.

I think these Four things are the biggest issues:
**Not having gifts come in to the message center at all, or having all your gifts randomly disappearing completely.

**Not being able to invite sisters, not all sisters are showing in your house.....If Playdom has determined that the game will not work properly when you have too many sisters in your house, then they need to put out an announcement of such and let us know just what those limits are.

**Not being able to vote walkoffs from a sisters profile page.

**Majors are not working

I know alot of players are very frustrated that they do not have the Style Upgrade available yet also. Playdom should know that the players are very competitive to gain any new glam, everyone wants to be the first to have something. This is with events also..... It does nothing but create hard feeling and discontent with Playdom when only some players are allowed to get new things. Please reconsider the habit of "slow releasing" events or functions.

Now on a more upbeat note:
I am loving this new Study Abroad, and I , for one, actually LIKE the tickets needed for crafting. It is so much more streamlined and I am actually CRAFTING! I would rather use tickets than have to jump from screen to screen doing events TRYING for a needed item to craft something. The events have been working smoothly and needed items are not hard to acquire. (Of course, there was the Painting Mixup issue!) But that was not a needed event so I was not doing that one just yet anyways!

I have had all my gifts disappear right before my eyes, not once but many times. I had almost all of my SL cash disappear....don't know why or where it went. Sisters send me gifts but they don't show up. Can't vote for walk-offs from sisters' profile pages.

I decided that I'm not going to spend any money on a game with so many glitches and with a distinct lack of communication with us about those glitches - not saying it's you, Whitney, just that the customer support team need to communicate better and without the same canned response over and over.

I can't really add anything else to the list of glitches that have already been posted here.

I don't consider a canned answer as any type of communication ... so yes an effort on that front would be appreciated.

Thank you for looking in to these issues, I did pm you my id for the majors issue last week. I also have filed a ticket about this. Now not only can I not get the correct gifts I cant do the majors at all because they don't clear out after you collect your winnings allowing you to collect the same prize over and over.

My gifts disappear at random too and I have been a VIP other than from yesterday to today when I was having some type of Ultimate Pay issue that we worked out so I am VIP again

The Study Abroad crafting bonus is wrong, I really can't believe that the Pack for Fairytale Adventure dress is really supposed to be the prize and not the mountain dress that is on the shopping page

As I have posted in the other forum..it has been 8 days with NO gifts and other glitches ..this is just wrong on Playdoms part as a business...which should in MY opinion be restructured and NEW people put in place to run the show...SMH.. If you accidentally hand OUT brownie points you take them back within minutes...why not fix glitches within at least hours??? Customer service is another issue that needs to be revamped...Someone out there is going to read all this and come up with another game..and everyone is going to LEAVE SL..and playdom will be wondering WHY....wake up playdom...you are LOSING customers...daily....

Yes I would really like to know this too. Also, I would like to know if there can be a change to the burn feature, where if a lower level player burns a higher player, we can retaliate. I think its unfair game play that a lower level can burn a higher player, but not vice versa.

Finally, Whitney, my puzzle picture is broken. It shows that I collected 9 pieces but in fact I had only collected 6.

Forgot to mention. The in game bonus popups coming every click, sometimes two at once, is a bit excessive, especially when we can only collect 10 a day. Any way the in game bonus pop-ups can be toned down a bit?

I know 2 reasons why people THINK there cash disappears when it is actually NOT a SL glitch:
1) Many players have no idea about large number of items in their wardrobe which have high upkeep when these items are not in any way usefull in offense or defense. They only create a negative hourly income.
2) On a more darker side: Some players are known to use 3rd party applications, which are supposed to spa up for them, autoattack, autoslap or autoburn for them. But many also dont know how to use these silly applications, and manage to set it to a continuous setting costing them tons of cash. Simple solution: Stop using these 3rd party apps. Prevents you also from being banned from FB or SL.

Whitney, we understand you are not at fault, and Im sorry there's so much negativity here. We appreciate that you're doing everything you can. But I agree with the others, and Playdom sure seems like they dont care.

I submitted a support ticket that was never answered. And that was after I could finally get one to go through! And STILL no statement from them about what is going on! I have had the gifting issue for 6 full days now, and have not been able to vote for walkoffs. Im not sure if the majors arent working, because I never do them. it was not a new feature that I liked, though I know many player do. I have sisters in my house who started having those problems days later. I am not a VIP, but a few of my sisters who are having these issues are VIP.

The thing is, I REALLY like this SA and wished PD would do one like this for a long time. And I, for one, like the tickets-for-crafting idea. You'd be using more tickets running around getting the crafting items, which drop randomly. So you save tickets and time. Brilliant.

Then this happens. Im stuck, falling behind those that arent having this issue. That idea about extending it, or lifting the gift restrictions, seems like a very reasonable way for Playdom to say "sorry" to all of us who feel a bit... neglected by all of this. Not answering support tickets, the problem getting WORSE and spreading, when they say their working on it. Heck of a way to run a international gaming business, guys. That is DEFINETLY a 24/7 job. and Im absolutely positive that they're making enough money off VIPs and BPs that they can hire a few more techs to work graveyard. Nerdy boys like the nighttime anyway! How bout I send you my boyfriend, hes a computer tech-in-training, and a total gamer. Seriously. Maybe then we'd get some answers. He wouldnt let the people playing his game be in total darkness about glitches and bugs of this scale for a WEEK. Because he knows what its like, and because he cares. Apparently your colleagues do not.

I also have been having a glitch with the Quests. Somehow, a sister is on my team twice. I have been trying for two days to kick one of her off but it doesn't work. No matter how many times I try, she is still there. I can't finish my quest until I get rid of her double and add another sister.

Whitney, I have said this before...I do not envy you and can't imagine how frustrating it must be for you to hear all of these negative comments and have to go back to your "team" and try and relay the mood of the players. What I have not heard from you is any acknowledgement or explanation as to why Playdom has not put out a statement regarding the massive "glitches" in their game. Whitney, I have said this before...I do not envy you and can't imagine how frustrating it must be for you to hear all of these negative comments and have to go back to your "team" and try and relay the mood of the players. I'm just wondering if there are any updates on the gifting center? While I'm grateful I've been able to collect gifts, while some people haven't been able to, it's getting increasingly frustrating. Since the gifting center kicked off whenever I was on SL and received a gift, I could go to the gifting page and the gift would appear at the bottom. The past week or so, this hasn't been happening and I have to refresh the page and scroll through a lot of gifts to find it.
So you can imagine how frustrating it is, especially during a SA when I have about 400 gifts sitting there, all of which I've reached my limit for the day and I have to scroll through them all to find newer gifts that I haven't reached my limit on.
It would be wonderful to have some kind of order to the gifting center, mainly having new gifts always arrive on the bottom or top of the page.

Thankfully I am able to collect gifts, although randomly a whole group of them will disappear if I have hit my max collected for a particular avi.

The one thing that truly peeves me is the jumping, twitching screen that happens whenever I click on anything. It is particularly annoying when I am trying to attack the Burn List. Also when I try to scroll down it just pops back up to the top of the page. Clearing the cache and cookies is no help, done it plenty now.

Also, once again my BPs have disappeared! I had 8, all earned in-game. It might not sound like a lot to you, but I don't buy BPs, I work for them. And if it can happen to me it could happen to someone who still buys them. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that complaint. It doesn't help that the tickets I send are getting blank responses. I get an e-mail, but nothing from Playdom but a blank space where the response usually is.

Obviously no one can vote for WOs still.

The glitches and lack of corrections from Playdom just keeps getting more and more absurd! Obviously SL has dedicated players. It's evidenced by all the responses in the forums. Playdom should thank their lucky stars for us and be glad SL isn't going the way of Fanglies.

If anyone will provide feedback I will be grateful, whether here or in a PM - if you can not collect gifts are you also a VIP member?

I am not a VIP member but have not had access to my gifts since 1/16/12. I see them come through as sisters send them, I see them in FB requests, I see 99+ in my little pink SL icon but ZERO in my gift box. FB gifts send me to a blank SL page with the common, "OOPS! under maintenance" response. I have also noticed the "wave" effect of some players having gifting problems while I merrily went along my way and wondered when the Grinch would steal my gifts. My answer has come, yet Playdom (still) does NOT have an answer (Whitney said on 1/12/12 that the resolution was VERY close at hand--yet my glitch occurred AFTER that). I had initially decided not to put my 2 cents in since so many others were registering their gift complaints but wanted to respond directly that I am NOT a VIP but still have no gifts. I know other friends that still DO with no issues to report. It's the inconsistency that bothers me along with the fact that I used to just ask sisters to send me gifts & my box would refill (boy- that would be NICE compared to this....).

I have been playing for 3 years now and am familiar with "when a SA is released, the glitches occur". GIFTING is ESSENTIAL to game play! I agree with other posters that the SA should be extended so those of us affected can collect the tickets we need to continue game play and the SA before it ends. (Maybe all accounts could be credited with 200+ tickets automatically?!?) Until the gifts resume NORMALLY I refuse to play and only sign in to check if the same trouble exists. Wondering how long this will continue and until then I BOYCOTT!

A helpful suggestion: once gifting is FIXED can they be arranged by DATE in our box instead of all jumbled together? I find gifts from house members that are several days old but can't return them since I'd already reached my limit on that item. Chronological makes sense, right?

(as an aside, I find it interesting that no gifting issues occur on another Playdom game, GnomeTown)

Whitney, "Carol" used to post updates (albeit late) on SOME issues. But we haven't heard A PEEP FROM ANYONE BUT YOU! I am sickened of the LACK OF RESPECT "your team" shows us, INCLUDING YOU! Why? Why do you accept this treatment? Don't you get angry, too? Don't you SHARE our gaming frustration? And what's REALLY sad is that you have not responded to my personal forum message, off-thread. Lil, I TOTALLY AGREE that PD needs to rethink their C.S. strategy. Keeping us players in the loop is key. I think my formal letter to Disney will help. They plopped tons of money into this company. I think they would like to know that this company is a sinking ship due to poor C.S. The highest money maker is going to fall away & Disney will ask some questions. Best they know why in advance, don't you think? I will be printing out pages and pages and pages of complaints from the forums, highlighting the lack of care Playdom gives its players. The glitches are bad enough. The lack of response is worse.

On Myspace you can vote for Walk-Offs but you need to go to the Catwalk page and hope they are on the "Who's Hot" List or click the "Next" Button to find your housemates...

On FB, we can vote walk offs by using the Catwalk's w/o tab. BUT it only shows the top 10 w/os. We can also use the Request votes button to post it to our FB page, but that takes away a bonus collection from FB (we are limited to 10/day). And with the Visas not opening on all characters like in the past, and I take 5 avis thru, that means that I need to help my sisters as much as possible (I mean, if we need to open 5 for 1, 10 for another, and 15 for another, that's 30 per character. With 5 characters, that's 150 visas I need clicked. And I return the favor, always. With a 10-visa limit per day, that's at least 15 days of straight visa clicking, much less with the keepsakes & now the necklace bonus. So I can't "waste" a click for voting a walk off, ya know?)

I know 2 reasons why people THINK there cash disappears when it is actually NOT a SL glitch:
1) Many players have no idea about large number of items in their wardrobe which have high upkeep when these items are not in any way usefull in offense or defense. They only create a negative hourly income.
2) On a more darker side: Some players are known to use 3rd party applications, which are supposed to spa up for them, autoattack, autoslap or autoburn for them. But many also dont know how to use these silly applications, and manage to set it to a continuous setting costing them tons of cash. Simple solution: Stop using these 3rd party apps. Prevents you also from being banned from FB or SL.
Ron, my cash went from just over 24 million down to 240 thousand in the blink of an eye. It was not upkeep as I do have a positive cash flow.

While SL is wiping out gifts for many players, those doing Majors (which I am not one) are having a field day stocking up on THOUSANDS of high value glam items because they hit the Collect button repeatedly and instead of collecting one item when they finish a course, collect an unlimited number. Needless to say for players who are not capitalizing on the Majors glitch it makes fighting VERY VERY difficult since there is no way to accumulate these huge numbers of high value accessory glam.

Does Playdom have any interest or intention to fix this? Do I have to become a cheat and suck up glitch glam to compete in this game?? I already have Level 245 players attacking my Level 203 main daily because Playdom decided to sacrifice the low 200's to the IC whiners looking for cannon fodder to attack... Now they get to power up even more by another glam glitch. Does anyone even care?

It disgusts me.

You can bet that IF that was the case, they wouldnt be working at all. It's funny. If a glitch happens, and it gives excessive BP's and/or Boarders, it doesn't matter if its between 9 and 5, it gets fixed.

Wish PD would get their act together and get this stuff fixed, and the sheer audacity to NOT address these issues is appalling. This is the reason why I stopped being VIP and the entire reason why this game is thisclose to being blocked all together.

PD, I dont know how you can stay afloat with this game with as poorly as you treat your players, and your paying customers.

I think that enough is enough, and until PLAYDOM can fix the problems then the VIP status should be refunded to all that have paid, as clearly ITS NOT WORKING and why should people who pay pay for it!

I have noticed over the past few study abroad events, that they increase the glitchyness of the game, and increase the frustration of players. Maybe LISTEN to people who play and get a grip. Lets stop with the constant barage of Study Abroads until you can fix and get this game back to a stable platform. Other deevelopers, when they find a glitch work on it, correct it, issue an apology and believe it or not compensate the players. What do we get from Playdom, more pop ups trying to fleece us out of more cash! LOOK NO ONE IS GOING TO PART WITH CASH FOR SOMETHING THAT IS BROKE!

If playdom care, they should listen, end of. Carry on aggrievating the playlers with glitchy games, PLAYDOM will be consigned to the history books, and go out of business.

I understand that php programming is harder than we believe, but as with ANY mathematical and programming problems, they STACK & DOMINO. One needs a firm foundation to add to, like a building. It's like the 8th floor was added & the designers are working on plans for the 25th floor (having already half-bleeped the others), but the people on the 1st floor are stomping up & down, screaming "hey, wait! the roof is crumbling! It's falling on our head! Look at the windows! They are bowing! OMG! The plumbing! The pipes burst! HELLO?!?! Hey, you! Down here! We are asking you to stop & look & see what you are doing! We need you to stop & fix the foundation that wasn't designed for this weight! You need to save us!" But all the while they ignore us, pretending not to hear, thinking how lovely the 30th floor will be because they can fit more people in & make more money...

Yea, it's kinda like that!

The BASE game's bugs need to be fixed b/c EACH NEW THING ADDED will ADD more bugs to the system. And for each patch they make to that problem, they must realize it's just a patch, not a fix, and they aren't going to withstand newer capabilities...it's already the weak spot.

Take these gifting issues...over a month ago people were reporting problems. Then Moscow came & went w/the same problems, getting worse. When Moscow was taken down it was even worse. Now w/Fairytale Land, it's HORRIFIC. Crazy! Someone has to learn from this!

Maybe it's us players that have to learn...to forget this game and this company.

Another companies game had a major glitch with their messaging inboxes for nearly every player, and it was FIXED WITHIN HOURS. this happened yesterday. seriously? if they can do it, playdom sure can too, with all that Disney money. And, first thing they did was release a statement. "Hey guys, we know there's an issue and we're fixing it now!" and then guess what? it was fixed!

we should get that company to buy SL from Playdom. then we'd get 27/7 techs and amazing customer service. this is the reason i only play one PD game, and now these glitches are very very close to me giving up on SL altogether.

A hunter/warrior couldn't care less about upkeep. It's all about Glam and any advantage in Glam is an advantage in the fight. Everyday I play the Jazz event to try to get one or two pink Convertibles to drop to get a few extra POP on my Rides... I have been doing it for MONTHS. With the majors glitch, I watched someone with my own eyes get a 6 point Accessory advantage per item rolling up 800 of them in 20 minutes!! Then 500 more and there was no end in sight. This is insanity.

I feel like a fool trying to hit legitimate events to gain a tiny advantage when others are doing in minutes what has taken me months... AND getting 400%-500% more items to boot!!

Well that there was an update is clear. My Walk-Off vote is working now (I could not care less at this moment) and my Match&Win shows 6 games instead of 8.

But it is also day 8 of not being able to receive any gifts.

Just to let you know Whitney that my gifts are now working they showed up as zero then I refreshed & they were all there. I am collecting & returning like crazy in case they vanish again. I hope this is a permanent fix but it's working for now. My WO button is also working. Sorry to rush off but I have to collect collect on all my chars in case it all goes pear shaped again lol I have missed my game & being able to help all my house. I hope it's fixed for everybody soon.

i hadn't been having any problems with my gifts until last night when over 150 items disappeared not only from sl but from the facebook game request page as well, i know i haven't had it as bad as some people, just wanted you to know that what ever you did caused the problem to happen to people who had been fine before

That is my top 5 in that order.

My FA swag is all screwed up. I collected 6 puzzle pieces, but it shows like 9 collected.. Items I collected aren't showing up in my swag. I can't click on the puzzle pieces I want.

Many of us have spend a lot of money in this game and instead of having fun it became a torture
I have never seen a game with so many problems

I add to my earlier 'issues' that the fairy figurine socialising event has been removed despite fact many of my friends have been unable to access SL or collect gifts for 5 days + ; why did this occur. I also note with complete interest the glitch on the majors event whereby we could repeatedly collect expensive upkeep glam was fixed immediately !!! Why when there is a gaming glitch which may be perceived to benefit players is it fixed immediately yet gifting/wo voting/screen jumping issues have been occurring for weeks ? Thank you for your time Whitney

My FA swag is all screwed up. I collected 6 puzzle pieces, but it shows like 9 collected.. Items I collected aren't showing up in my swag. I can't click on the puzzle pieces I want.

Any word on when that will get fixed?

I add to my earlier 'issues' that the fairy figurine socialising event has been removed despite fact many of my friends have been unable to access SL or collect gifts for 5 days + ; why did this occur. I also note with complete interest the glitch on the majors event whereby we could repeatedly collect expensive upkeep glam was fixed immediately !!! Why when there is a gaming glitch which may be perceived to benefit players is it fixed immediately yet gifting/wo voting/screen jumping issues have been occurring for weeks ? Thank you for your time Whitney

Totally agree with this Bennie.
With all this they should have realized that once the game come to a major standstill for so many players, all other functionality changes should be paused. So no new crafts, no new bonuses, no events introduction or taking of.
For instance: I was collecting as many Fairy Figurines as I could on a few avi's, not for the outfit (have already) or the tickets (one day later finishing SA I dont care about) but only for the drop op the boyfriends. I needed them on these avi. Now they did not only steal my game enjoyment away, or SA progress for 11 days at least (next monday) but also a unfixable loss of 50 WALSH THE WEREWOLF per avi which of course will not be credited in any way.
Whitney might be devastated by the negative feedback here, and I know / can believe she is, but "the team" does not show in their actions that they do as well.
Once the priority is set high enough, programmers should be able to fix anything within days. Maybe time to hire a specialist? Maybe time to work around the clock on it?
And any fix "published" at 4PM Phoenix time means 2AM next day for us Europeans. So we loose another day...

I'm lucky to not have the gifting problem. I would be really sad and depressed and angry if I had, it must be really frustrating. But maybe it's a more difficult problem to fix, so Playdom first repared what was easy to repare, to show that they are doing something and working on the fixes. I hope they will fix that soon for you guys as well. And I think that they will give you compensation for it, they did that in the past. Or maybe they will simply make this FA longer than planned with the number of days your gift centre wasn't working. I hope so.

IN my humble opinion ALL programmers should have been working on the major issue at hand: a very unreliable gifting proces. I have asked many times for a complete standstill in any change in functionality but take first some time to fix issues. What is ahppening now sort of proves my point...

I hope that as well, but don't count on anything anymore. I did all SA's on ALL my avi's. I doubt if they will let me finish it this time as well...

On another note.
One advantage of having no gifts is that you have more than enough time to look at Majors, after the "fix".
What I describe here below is as it works NOW, and as it worked before the majors got stuck... and I think it is NOT working as it was designed...

Note about rewards and prizes from MAJORS

I sincerely believe that the Majors where supposed to give different gifts for when you do the FIRST time a certain grade, and than after that you should get a 2nd time prize, when you finish again with that same grade.
But it is NOT working like that (anymore?).
The FIRST time you finish a course at all, you finish it with a certain grade and you will get a (unique) prize belonging to that grade.
The NEXT time you finish the same course, with WHATEVER grade, you will always get the “second time” prize, weather you finish with A, B C ...or F!!!
That means that if first time you finished with grade B, you will NEVER be able to get the “first time” A, C, D etc prize.
I cannot really believe it was meant like that, but that is how it works now (feb 2012).
So in my opinion the getting stuck of Majors is fixed, but the Majors in itself are NOT.

Try clicking on the lower part of the box from the craft you want to start. that seems to work.

I would be angry as well so I can understand the frustration but I also agree that some posters here are taking the negativity towards Whitney too far, considering she ISN'T the one causing the problems, she ISN'T the one who can personally fix the problems and she IS the one who is trying to help. So thanks for your post. Btw, it IS much more difficult to fix any kind of issue that doesn't affect all the players. It's difficult to find the root of the problem that occurs "randomly". My programmer friend has always said that random problems affecting random players are a PITA. :)

Btw, Whitney, I know this issue isn't one of the most important ones (seeing other issues mentioned here) but there are people who still have problems with browsing, reading and posting in the forum (pages timing out all the time). This problem started appearing after the forum upgrade. Do admins know about the problem and can we expect a fix soon? Thank you.

I haven't had any gifts now for over a week so have been unable to progress in Fairyland.

I would like this issue to be fixed as soon as possible. It is very frustrating to everyone who has this problem.
I would like this SA to be extended so that all affected by this issues have the opportunity to finish it.
I would also like some sort of compensation to those who have suffered this problem - for example 30 BPs. A goodwill gesture from Playdom to show that they are sorry would make myself and many others feel a lot better about this situation.

I also think you should change the language in your tickets and not use the word "solved" when you mean "responded to" as they mean different things. You should use "responded to" or "relied" or "answered".

↑This ! I am sorry to all the defenders of Whitney but I must say that she too is not competent in her job as a so-called "Community Manager". I don't care if she calls the shots or just here to relay whatever problems we have to her so-called TEAM ! She's the only one we can turn to and yet she doesn't give us feedback or updates on what is happening. We are left deserted. PD lacks interactions with their customers. They are so laid-back ! Sorry PD, that's what you make us feel...unattended to ! I too, along with my other sisters cancelled my VIP subscription. PD, if you cannot solve the gifting issue, might as well put it back the way it was before ! Others who don't have this problem may not agree but wait until it happens to you and you might wish the same thing !

The moderators here aren't actually Playdom employees, they volunteer to help in the forums and are just players like everyone else. We'd love to help, but on these things we can't really do much.

Hey Whitney! It is obvious that there are many people who love Sorority Life or they wouldn't be so upset when things go wrong. I am one of the people who has the gift glitch. I was in the middle of accepting gifts/requests on Friday the 13th (LOL) when my gifts disappeared. It was between 9:30 and 10:30am EST. I have sent in 4 tickets and received the auto response about them being aware of the problem. I would hope so since we are now 11 days into the problem and so many people are effected by this. It's a good thing this wasn't a plumbing problem--no wait! Then it would have been fixed on the first day! I think we all had high hopes for it being fixed today since it is Monday, but I am seeing some FRUSTRATED players on the feed. I hope SL doesn't make the mistake of starting something new with so many players not being able to move forward in the game. That would be horribly insensitive. It's bad enough that they have already made some changes in the SA, and offered yet a NEW sale on BP's when there are OLD problems that need fixing.

I'm commenting on this because I think its completely ludicrous that a company like PD, who is owned by Disney, can be this careless as to not fix this issue in a timely fashion.

I'm no developer so it might be really hard to track down a problem that is only happening for some of the player base, but not even addressing the issue, outside of we know there's a problem and working on a fix, is a terrible way of running a company.

Not to mention that PD is releasing new games at the same time as a major problem is affecting one of their games. It's heartless!

While I know this isn't top priority in the grand scheme of things, but I am having trouble with my puzzle pieces. It shows like 10 collected, but I only have 6, and I have four waiting.

Please whitney, address this issue. This is the third time in this thread ALONE that I have brought it up. Do YOUR job.

I sent a ticket directly to Disney and in the reply I was asked for a url and to confirm the name ...so Disney wont do anything because Disney dont know anything about this game apparently..

What is the hold up of fixing this gifting problem?!!!!!!! I am so mad right now- but am going to try and keep this as decent as i can.... Some of my housemates have been without gifts going on DAY 12!!!!!! now today the 5th tab of the new SA rolls out!!!!! (((Seriously? things continue on as normal for those who can play-- while those who cannot are left in the dust?))) Some have been so angry they quit playing and i cant say i blame them-- i cant even speak on the feed regarding any gifting so as not to upset my housemates who cant play!!!!!

I would have thought the whole SA would be in FREEZE mode till you fix the problem!!! Most have sent in "tickets" with their ID numbers over a week ago-- still NOTHING has been done so they can play.

Many of my sisters are up to DaY 12 without gifts.
I was locked out completely for 5 days then no gifts for 2 !! I am a lucky one though cos it is working now.

BUT being a VIP member I expect some kind of compensation for not being able to access a game I am paying to play.
At the very LEAST those effected should have a large allotment of Golden Tickets and Energy applied to their accounts so that they can catch up

Although I can play now it is also effecting me cos my sisters are miserable and quitting in droves !

I suggest that ALL VIP Members submit complaints to support@jambool.com This is the company that collects our VIP money

Perhaps they can put pressure on Playdum. After all they will be losing customers in the very near future and Noone will seek to be a VIP

Foxy, I think that could be a good idea, and one I am going to do immediately. I am lucky in that the *only* problem I have had so far is that I cannot do quests due to the jumping screen. It is pathetic that I am grateful for being in this situation.

Compare this to another popular game (different company) where when I have had problems I have been able to chat online to a tech immediately and have my problems resolved. They also have forums where known issues are highlighted and players can report bugs. I'm not saying other games or companies are perfect, but Playdom is particularly rubbish.

I today logged a ticket to Playdom support asking that we given daily updates of progress on repairing the gift glitch - and other issues - situation and that we all be compensated - eg unlimited gifts (for us lucky enough to collect) or BPs - for this major inconvenience. I find it most extraordinary that compared to other gaming companies I deal with on FB, Playdom is the only company that expects us to pay for their game but gives nothing in return when something goes awry preventing customers from playing the game :(

Another Error seems to have popped up... a lot of people who used BP's to get the Warrior Dress in the Fairytale Adventure SA, do not have it in their Glam.

Bugs

1) The gifting issue
2) The jumping screen when voting
3) The inability to start your own quest if you are helping too many of your sisters (the work around is to quit one of your sister's tasks so you can start your own)
4) The inability to see "hair" on the glam tab
5) The message telling us that we need to complete Diamond Mastery for the At The Summit event before you can do events in Mystic Tower when many of us have completed that event and the entire SA
6) The missing warrior dress (they have it categorized as an accessory)
7) The inability to get "B" glam from the majors. It appears that once you get an A you are some how locked out of getting the B glam. I have ZERO confidence that this has been fixed
8) The removal of events and galas with no countdown timer to warn us of the impending removal

..... and I am sure that there are other things broken as well

This is by far the laziest most inept group of developers that I have ever seen. I spent 20+ years in software design and development and if I were in charge I would fire them all and put a stop to the implementation of anything new till all of the existing bugs were fixed. They keep piling more bad code on top of the broken code and can't get a handle on the problems that already exist that need to be fixed. I had a few instances where my gifts "vanished" but I have not had the persistent problem where I have no gifts at all. I know people that have not been able to collect gifts for almost 2 weeks and PlayDUMB doesn't fix it but keeps adding new broken stuff. I really feel sorry for all of you that are giftess. I know how ANNOYED I was when mine vanished and I can't imagine how frustrated, defeated and annoyed I would be if I had no gifts for 2 weeks. Wake up and smell the coffee playDUMB!!! Stop adding things and put some real effort into fixing the growing list of problems. Are these developers trying to code themselves out of a job? Don't they realize what happens to games that are so buggy that people stop playing? They become unprofitable and the company shuts them down and cleans house. It's our Virtual Reality but it is their Reality and I don't think that they "get it" ...... I will now get off of my soapbox

When I noticed the regular money that they were getting from VIP coming in wasn't going to improving the quality of the game I wasn't going to support their crappy work monthly anymore. They show me an improvement in the game, I buy BPs, no improvement, I keep my cash. Isn't that the way most businesses are supposed to run.

I am sorry that others are having issues, but why should we, whose game works HAVE to quit playing just because someone else's game does not work?

That is not saying the Playdom's customer support isn't atrocious. I have actually had decent "luck" in getting my issues resolved but I know many do not.

Unfortunately, alot of the issues are NOT completely game wide, so it makes it more difficult for them to pinpoint the problems. Probably for everyone having a problem there are a more than a few players that are not. (that is not counting the problems with events that ARE game wide, as in the majors grades).

Sorry, but unless the game doesn't work for me I AM going to continue to play, and play the way I want, which includes brownie points!
Of course, some of the issues do affect me but I am patiently (?) waiting for them to fix them. It has been my experience that most issues will be addressed, if not as soon as we would like.

If you are VIP, you get 100 bps each month along with 2 pieces of glam, no ad popups and extra events. That is what you pay for and that is what you get. They need to get over the idea that the game is going to run smoother for THEM.

True but at the same time, I wonder how many less glitches there would be on the roll outs of new things in the game if they did something smart and actually did the beta testing of new features, events etc. with VIP. VIP would get early access to these new features, and while they might be a bit buggy at least they would have a controlled group of 'testers' and would probably have an easier time solving the issues knowing the actual players that are currently able to access the new features. They could fix bugs a lot easier and open them to everyone. That way even if the new things are glitchy and buggy VIP players are still getting a perk by being able to try them out before others but they would just have to be patient until the bugs are worked out. I've always thought they are wasting this limited group of players and not really offering enough perks and this would be a win win for the VIP players and PD game devs alike...

I agree. I would be open to being their guinea pig, as well as most of the VIPs I know would. That would also do away with the issues of some people getting new features and other's not (the dreaded slow roll out!), as you would know upfront whether you were going to be first to get a feature. I HATE the randomness of it now.

I think Both VIP and Non-VIP players are having issues equally... Yes, VIP's get early access to the SA, but they are paying for this privilege.

I do agree that there should be some sort of tests before new things are brought into the game. Like I have always said, they should not rush the new SA... The last one ended and the new one started a few days later.

Perhaps wait a week or so and make sure everything is working properly.

As far as the Gifts go... I do not play on FB, so I think that is a whole other thing. What I have heard from friends who play on FB, it is a total mess. Was the Gifting Center implemented because of the Rules on FB with restrictions on how many requests or mailings you can receive?

Again, I am not familiar with FB and how things work over there...

I don't see why there should be a limit on house size, it makes adding people to quests/philanthropies in SAs very difficult as I have seen with Fairytale Adventure. I have not had this problem with Casa, London or Moscow

Gifts are still not going to message centre but when I accept them through Facebook I receive them even if the dreaded maintenance page appears. Others should try it.

I do not know of any gaming company associated with FB who has such a lack of care for customers and advertisers as Playdom. I am very sorry to state this but this comment comes from the never ending frustration at trying to contact 'support' via logging a ticket. I (and others) only ever receive a formatted response to the effect 'we are aware of the issue, we are working on it, we apologise, response closed'.
Other game developers post updates on the game page stating what the issues are and offering bonuses for player inconvenience. I suggest this as something Playdom implement.

My guess is she is not going to give out the name of anyone. PD developers or managers do not want to be bothered as far as I can tell. No contact information. However, Disney has a whole host of execs I am contacting. In addition, their website lists management (http://corpweb.playdom.com/management.html) though I am not sure how to contact them personally (all that is shown is postal addys (http://corpweb.playdom.com/contact.html)).

Doing a Better Business Bureau search right now for more contact information & ratings results. In addition to filing a BBB complaint and contacting Disney execs, we can ALL file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission, as this IS an online game and can be investigated by the U.S. Government if enough complaints are filed. Yup, I know how to do this. I've done it before with other companies and most have either filed bankruptcy & moved on or changed their ways. For all our sakes, let's hope for the latter.

Funny thing I am seeing on the BBB...the HQ addy has NO report, and the San Francisco, CA addy was just opened a couple weeks ago. Playdom has been around a long, long time, funny that addy was JUST OPENED.

I have been waiting and waiting also hoping for Whitney to come on line but I am going to miss her again - it is after 1.30 am Thursday here :)

You could make a case that if you pay VIP you expect that services are delivered. In this case, a day early access is paid for but if you can't play because your gifting center is not working (11 days for me) it doesn't make sense and the service promised is not delivered. I do have to say I did get reimboursed this month.

The worst thing in this whole affair is the non reaction from playdom. A lot of goodwill and even understanding of glitches went south by the way they did or actually didn't react.

Considering all this I fully understand the idea of complaining to the BBB.

This is from the known issues so it appears it is being worked on. I hope it doesn't take too long. I haven't been ab,e to accept gifts since the 13th.

It would be nice if a statement like that would show on the SL page, only a small percentage bothers to come here. Other game suppliers do leave a message on top of the games if there are issues.

Heck no, it's not! It's not just a game when they are taking your money, LilE. They are a business. An Internet business at that, which means they are regulated by the FTC. The complaint CAN be made that this is fraud. No, I am being completely and utterly honest when I say I do not think it is over the top. Consider that you can be arrested for opening someone's mail even if it is junk mail. Same theory applies. May sound over the top to some but it is most definitely real.

For anyone living in Europe that means we have no chance to talk to someone other than an e-mail answering bot. Yet another missed chance to show that playdom actually cares .... a little bit ... would have been nice.

I have every right to file a complaint when I feel a company is not living up to it's agreements with its consumers. But thank you for your opinion, as you have every right to one.
