SO.
Welcome back to Wednesday. :cool:
It's been an exciting past 24 hours here on SL while we worked at hyper-speed to release FAIRYTALE ADVENTURE to all you VIP's yesterday evening. I am so THRILLED to see that many of you are loving the Glam. While the forums are a fantastic place to pass along detailed information about all the technical issues you guys may be wrestling with, I can't tell you how *seriously* great it feels to read on here that you're enjoying the aesthetic elements of the location. It's so great that many of you have enthusiastically indulged our deviation from the more traditional destinations of past Study Abroad ventures.
As many of you probably noticed, we've also added new Glam categories: Bracelets and Tights!! So now you don't have to make that daunting decision: purseless or bare-legged? I believe this suggestion originated on the forums, so remember: speak your mind here, and your idea might just make it into the game!
Ok so now to address a couple of the top current issues we are already abreast of:
1. Philanthropy... difficulty adding members
2. Disappearing gifts
As I said, we are AWARE of these issues and ACTIVELY working to solve them, so I don't need any additional info about these. But if you are encountering any other issues, please let me know ASAP!

I am not a VIP so I am waiting for the Fairytale Adventure to be open for everyone & I am so excited about it. I can't wait to see the glam (:
Also, I want to thank to the team for listening to us by adding the two extra tabs which are bracelets and tights to the both glam and my style sections. It is great that now we will be able to wear bracelets,tights and other extra items at the same time. It is a great feature, yayyy!
By the way, the other issue I have is that 129 of my gifts just have disappeared again. I know the team is already aware of it but I just wanted to point it out again that it just happened to me a few min ago. So I hope the team can fix the issue as soon as possible.
The other issue is the major assignments' rewards. The issue doesn't seem to be solved totally that the same rewards are given again so I don't know how I'll be able to get the other rewards if the issue still continues. Because I lost so much cash to be able to get done with the assignments and it is not nice to get the same rewards multiple times.

I love the new tights and bracelet categories thank you.
I'm having lots of fun in the SA and I absolutely love the Grey Velvet Dress. It's one of my all time favorites.
I also like that the Gem Cuff has worthwhile stats. I judge stats against what we can buy on campus with reasonable upkeep: Red Sneakers, Mocha Suede Boots, GJWHF Outfit, Mickey the Muscle, and Stretch Hummer.
For the next SA, I would suggest that you include a bonus for 5 starring Quests/Philanthropy that has worthwhile stats. I find little value in Questing/Philanthropy. Dodgeball is better if we just want to farm influence as we get the same influence and a 75% chance of glam with good stats. Early in the SA, the money is nice, but by the end of the SA I always have tons of money left over even though I'm constantly crafting. The only reason to Quest is to do the Hunt for Treasure to stock up on Gold Glitter Booties to replace Red Sneakers for no upkeep.
On the subject of money, I'm disappointed that there is nothing to buy with worthwhile stats. It'd be nice if there was at least something with stats equal to the On Campus glam so we could replace some items to save upkeep. I'd be especially happy if there was a boyfriend with 24+ charm and 14+ popularity or perhaps a pair of boyfriends with each having one good stat. I'd even be happy if they were expensive. I just want my SA money to be valuable.
So far I love it!

Whitney, I am enjoying the new SA and am very pleased to see the Glam is better than the previous SA. IMO. I love, love, love the VIP outfit. Very fitting for this SA and very pretty.
I agree with the post above about being able to craft items to replace the upkeep on comparable items On Campus. I also agree that at least one outfit, boyfriend or ride to be able to purchase is a wonderful idea.:) I was able to use a good deal of the $$ from the previous SA by crafting the hair but I agree I normally end up with tons of SA $$.
As far as the missing gifts, I have said my piece on last week's Wednesdays with Whitney. I am glad to know the team is actively working to solve the situation. 3 times yesterday was ridiculous.
Just to let you know that I am still unable to Upgrade any of the Glam. I would think with the new launch of the SA that perhaps this has been pushed to a back burner. Understandable but hopefully it will be open to all "soon".
Are there plans to add events to On Campus? My level 198 has completed everything On Campus and unless there is a SA or a new Road Trip has nothing to do On Campus.

I just want to stress the majors issue. B prizes are not being awarded no matter how many times you do it if you have previously gotten an A. Very frustrating especially on the 7 day courses

Hi Whitney! I am also LOVING the glam in the new SA. When I saw that VIP dress I decided that alone was practically worth keeping the VIP status for this month. Not that I don't love having the other perks. But I am also having this issue with the disappearing gifts. I've never had that happen before, and it wasn't even at reset (10 pm for me). It happened a little before that and two other issues have happened with the gifting that have not yet corrected themselves.
1) Since the launch of the new gifting center, when I click "send" on a gift I get a box that show two tabs, "All" and "SL friends". All contains all of my fb friends, RL friends, SL friends, and friends who play another game. I'm can't very well wade through that list of many hundreds to hopefully remember who does and doesn't play SL. The SL friends tab was beautiful, it gave me all the people who play SL and in one click I could select them all, one more click and I could send them all a gift. Great. Easy for me and I don't have to worry about accidentally bothering anyone who doesn't play. Well after the gifts all disappeared last night my SL friends tab has no one listed.
2) Following the above problems, when I did finally pick a few sisters who I know play SL, I sent out some golden tickets. I started to get a few gifts coming back in. When I clicked to return them the facebook pop up window loaded with the permissions box
"Send This Sorority Life Request?
To: xxxx
Preview: yyyyy sent you a Sorority Life request:
Here's a Golden Ticket to help you out in Sorority Life. Please send me a gift back and together we can become the most powerful house in Sorority Life!" and the check box for "Don't ask again before sending requests to xxxxx from this app."
I had checked the permissions to send my SL sisters and misters gifts some time ago. It's like SL just lost all record of my SL sisters to send gifts to and who it's OK to send gifts to. This number 2 issue is annoying but I can work with it. I just leave the box checked and eventually I'll reapprove all of my SL sisters to send stuff to. But that number 1 issue is a potential game gifting killer. It's especially troublesome because I know some of my sisters don't get the 5 day gifting stuff regularly from anyone else.
It's not much of a perk having VIP status early access if you're gonna have a difficult time collecting ticket gifts which you need to do anything in the SA...I'm really glad I had some left over fairy statues to try and farm tickets with last night, that and a couple sisters who sent several tickets back and forth. I suppose most of us know by now that when something new comes out there's bound to be bugs or something old will break. Although I'm not sure why that has to be something we accept as normal... :/

Well, and what about Majors? My grade is still an F, and i had 2 grades that went down (A to B). I can't believe this issues are still around, especially when we all heard they would be taken care of. I sent countless tickets but never got an answer. I want my grades to go back to normal so i can finish the course and FINALLY put Majors behind me. Too many problems, not worth the work.

I have a thread describing that I cannot submit a ticket (see http://forum.playdom.com/showthread....t-what-I-can-t!!). Toy Maker responded that he emailed me, but I didn't get the email. So I sent him an email in here, via the forum. He sent me my ticket number (http://support.playdom.com/tickets/1175344). However, I cannot access that & have not received a response (that was 12/21/11). I have tried multiple times to reach him w/no response. Can you check on that for me? I mean, I cannot even submit a ticket to find out why I can't! Someone, PLEASE HELP ME!

Whitney, I'd like to ask why the troll is a swag item not something that we could craft as an item? I believe that troll would of been good as a pet or an item at least. I like trolls and used to collect them as a child. It disappointing to see it as a swag item not something we can craft to use as an item.

I have to say I love the new features the team has added and the SA i'm doing it on 2 mini's and my main right now and absolutely adore the VIP item for the SA makes me glad I signed up ^_^
Anyways, theres a glitch where if my friend steals my sweetheart she gets removed from my house and I know she didn't do it on purpose since we did it in the same room. The weird part is that it shows that me and her are still friend on her account and we can send gifts back and forth but I can still attack her. This has also happened before to me with another sister. I thought you should know I sent in a ticket but I rather not see this progress any further. Thanks whitney ^_^

Well I'm really enjoying the new SA so far. It's such a fresh approach and the glam seems great. I'm taking my time so haven't gotten very far yet but am definitely liking what I've seen so far. Also, like many other players I'm happy to see the additions to the glam and my style tabs. It's great to be able to incorporate tights and bracelets on their own. Thanks a bunch for doing that! :)
There is one issue that still seems to be ongoing and I don't think it's been mentioned today yet...the voting. I've been checking pretty much each day when I play and the voting screen is still not working properly. It may seem like something minor but I'd really like to be able to vote for my house again. Can we get an update on where things are at with this issue. Thanks as always for all that you do and have a great rest of the week!

would it not of been fairer to remove the gifting limits on golden tickets since we now have to use them for crafting as well as events, it feels like this is just another attempt to get us to buy more BPs.

Well that glitch under number 1 seems to be sorted out. :D I can gift SL friends now. *knock on wood* But it seems that quests aren't working now. It gets stuck on loading. It's always something... *sigh* I'm glad I'm not a programmer.

I would certainly hope they are working on this disappearing gift issue... and i made note of your request to not mention it further..... but its more than frustrating-- I have had my entire gifts box go poof 3 (THREE) TIMES today... and I am more than frustrated!!!!!!:mad:

I just had a gift poof a few minutes ago (several gold tickets that I meant to carry over to tomorrow after I maxed out for today). I am glad that you are looking into the issue of the difficulty of adding members to philanthropy because I have had a very hard time with this since the SA opened to VIPs. I have over 2600 sisters and I'm getting very frustrated with the error message saying the person I want to add to philanthropy isn't a part of my house when she actually is (I sent a help ticket, but got no indication as to whether or not they're fixing the problem via a generic message)

My gifts vanished as well, however they added to my swag/tickets etc as if I had accepted them. I noticed this because my philo added one person and I never requested anyone or said yes to their request. And yes the swag/tickets increased. Has any of you had that happen after the gifts vanish?

Thought it's not Wednesday anymore but I still want to report with you a few things

It's so awesome when Playdom implements these 2 tabs. The new free tights and bracelets are so great. Thank you for that.
2/ Wrong reward in Major
THe problem with major keeps going on and I haven't seen a fix yet. Submit social ID numbers doesn't help as this is universal problem.
We are looking for a general test and fix from Playdom
3/ "Click" in new SA
The new SA is so new that I cannot say much. But one problem (at least to me) is that the number of clicks to finish an events increases
If Playdom wants SA takes longer to finish, fine, but I'd rather see the required tickets than the number of mindless clicks increased
4/ Page jumping
If you play the game, you will see the jumping in everything we do. It's annoyed us

Same thing here... i claimed my 50 tickets after they once again disappeared in my game... went to FB requests to claim them there... that seemed to work (at first) ... then i go to use up my 50 tickets and 25 espressos.... and i have NONE available to use.
Please Whitney--- tell me there is something that can be done about the disappearing gifts? I would like to play along with my fellow housemates. Seems at this rate... i wont be able to finish on my main avatar.
Really REALLY frustrated now.
And so i dont sound like a complete whiner.... I Do thank you for the different wearable glam categories now. I like that.
I do not like wasting time collecting my gifts and having them go poof tho. My feed is so full of angry housemates. this isnt good.

As far as Majors goes, I'd like to emphasize again that submitting your user ID allows us to troubleshoot with accounts we know specifically are experiencing the issue. This is why I have made this request, to clarify.

I'm afraid my post must've gotten lost in the shuffle the other day. I never seem to make it on here the same time you are. One of the things I mentioned was the voting issue. I play on Firefox, most current version and my computer's pretty current itself. The voting is definitely still "jumping" and the box is not positioned like it used to be to allow for easy scrolling through sisters as I voted. It would be great to have this feature working the way it's supposed to. Hopefully the team can get a fix figured out for it.

The page jumping issue is rough, I'm still trying to get a handle on how many of you are experiencing this, and if it is browser specific. So this leads me to ask of course: if your page is jumping, which browser do you use?
It's jumping for me and I use Chrome.

don't know if this has been adressed yet but Fairytale Adventure Painting Mix-Up is bugged. when i try loading it the screen just stays white. this happens on all the browsers i've tried.

Why is the style upgrade different prices for different players? I can forgive the different prices for the BP sales at times but apparently I am permanently stuck at the highest price for the style upgrade is not fair. I am VIP and I regularly buy BP's. Why am I being punished?

Whitney--- why is filing a "ticket to Playdom" so difficult? i click on your link you provide..... it often keeps repeating the same page- and i cannot "file a ticket".... or i get this: Oops! Google Chrome could not find playdom.custhelp.com
Try reloading: playdom.*custhelp.*com .... The customer service department needs some major work.
I would like to also say- this "style upgrade" is still unavailable for many of us, myself included.... yet a new item, that we cannot participate in, is released today... you would think the "stay tuned" message we keep getting would be resolved before new items are added... Grrrr. I would really like to file a ticket with my ID so the problem can be resolved, but i often grow tired of trying to do so with the page repeating, and the link not actually working.

If you play the game, you will see the jumping in everything we do. It's annoyed us
...The voting is definitely still "jumping" and the box is not positioned like it used to be to allow for easy scrolling through sisters as I voted. It would be great to have this feature working the way it's supposed to. Hopefully the team can get a fix figured out for it.

If the problem people are having is the page "resetting" to the top after clicking a button; I think I might have a limited understanding of why. I may be way off; but it seems that the amount of how far to scroll the page back down in the canvas frame's anchor section of its src URL, is set as zero. I'm wondering if there might be a problem with how the game's script gets the number for how much to scroll and that it might be passing the wrong info onto the FB scrollTo function.

When I socialize, the page jump up and down before the button "Do event again" apears
Sometimes when I scroll down, the page keeps going back to the top and it does not let me move down

Whitney, I know that you know all about these bugs and glitches going around. I for one can't play for days because I don't have any gifts to claim. They just won't go through ! I filed a support ticket only to be answered with that usual "We are working on this, sorry for the inconvinience". Do you really have efficient team Whitney ? Aren't they ashamed of how incompetent they seem to us? Or they just can't be bothered and are willing to swallow all the curses and anger of the players ? You are a PD Manager, you are not just a messenger as others commented you are. You are not to be spared from negative comments due to the lack of competency of your team because as a manager you get to call the shots ! Whatever your team does will reflect on you ! I have been in a corporate world and whenever there is a problem that needed to be solved, we set DEADLINE ! Don't you give your team deadline to solve all these glitches, atleast a glitch at a time? This missing gifts is going on since day 1 you implemented this in-game gifting center. It was very fun at first because it's less work and facilitates the sending and receiving of gifts but oh boy, I wish it was how it used to be if it's going to be as glitchy as it is now. Don't you think that you need to change the members of your team to a more competent and knowledgeable ones ? Why is the style upgrade different prices for different players? I can forgive the different prices for the BP sales at times but apparently I am permanently stuck at the highest price for the style upgrade is not fair. I am VIP and I regularly buy BP's. Why am I being punished?
At least you have the feature. Many of us click on the style upgrade tab and still just have "Stay Tuned!". Why are we being punished? And I repeat the fact that this feature has not yet been rolled out to all players but they have now released a new outfit for the feature is utter poop!

Ummmm, I don't know what's going on SL at the moment but I can't vote for someone's WO by clicking the vote for walk-off button on their profile on Chrome. When I try to do it, it says pop-up blocked and it won't let me go to vote for their walk-off even though I say allow...
& when I said allow, now a mini page popped up from SL for requesting a permission. There has never been anything like this before.
What does this all mean?

hey whitney......first of all i wanted to say that i love the 2 new tabs introduction...really cool btw.....next i wanted to address the issue that my upgrade glam is still showing me "stay tuned".....which is very irritatin n frustratin....its been a month since this new tab was introduced n still the tab has not opened for many of us....the second problem is that the painting mixup in fairy tale adventure goes blank every time i click on it but still charges me tickets....lost many tickets due to it.....so pls look into these two problems asap....atleast try to correct it before the fairytale SA finishes....

Try reloading: playdom.*custhelp.*com .... The customer service department needs some major work.
I would like to also say- this "style upgrade" is still unavailable for many of us, myself included.... yet a new item, that we cannot participate in, is released today... you would think the "stay tuned" message we keep getting would be resolved before new items are added... Grrrr. I would really like to file a ticket with my ID so the problem can be resolved, but i often grow tired of trying to do so with the page repeating, and the link not actually working.
I have a thread open on the Bugs forum for this very thing. Over a month with no response.

Same for me. Since last night. I click the button & it just doesn't load, as if the button is inactive. Sisters are having the same issue. I've tried on Chrome, IE, and Firefox.

Well this is now the 3rd day that I cannot play my game. I cannot accept any gifts because my gift centre permanently has a zero in it & if I go to My Apps & Games page & then to my Sorority Life Gifts from Friends section they are all sitting there yet when I try to claim from there I get this message
Oops!!! We are currently undergoing maintenance. We apologize for this inconvenience. Please try again later. Well it's 3 days later & still nothing so I cannot enjoy my Fairytale Adventure as can't claim tickets to continue further & cannot join in quests. I have also filed a ticket with Playdom & have received no information or even a reply regarding this. I appreciate that it's the weekend & that you may not have any staff till Monday. I also have sisters disappearing from my house where they are in mine but I am not in theirs which I will be bringing up next Wednesday & also I cannot vote in any WO's either.
I do not pay to play this game any more so I try not to complain too much, as I no longer buy BP's etc because basically I cannot afford it any more. Maybe that puts me at the bottom of the queue here, but I am still a player & have recommended many of my friends to play the game who are now VIP's etc. I understand that you will always get teething problems when you introduce something new to the game but the gifting centre is no so new now. It appears to be the gifting centre that has halted my game. I also have noticed, but this may be totally incorrect that many of my sisters that seem to have this problem are either from the UK or Europe so not sure if this is significant in any way.
I hope you read & investigate this problem & try & help as much as you can to get it fixed. I'm actually very angry & frustrated but I'm not going to take it out on you as you are not directly responsible for this mess. Please see what you can do as urgent action needs taking because I am one of many with these glitches.

As far as Majors goes, I'd like to emphasize again that submitting your user ID allows us to troubleshoot with accounts we know specifically are experiencing the issue. This is why I have made this request, to clarify.

I submitted my user ID to Support and all they say is that they know of the error with the Majors and are working on it... Now the Majors are totally messed up. You can't start a new course, it is stuck!
Now we can't Vote... The Painting Mix-up in the SA is not working.

I have the same situation. I show a recently added sister as being in my house yet she does not show me in her house. I also have one where I am showing in a sister's house but she isn't showing in my house. You can't send another invite because the name is not there..
Whitney, did Playdom's platform crash? The are so many more glitches than normal...like not being able to vote walk offs, the paint brush event in
Fairyland won't load, one person showing in your house but you aren't in theirs and on and on. It appears something major happened yet nothing is posted here to inform the players that you (Playdom) is even aware of it. Also the last BP sale has always been available 3 times. You can purchase the hair and outfit for x# of BP's and if you do that you can still have the option of just purchasing the hair for x# of Bp's or the dress. Once I purchased the hair and dress the offer disappeared. I was planning to purchase the hair for another avatar and the dress for another one. I hope when you and the team come back you will fix this and we will be able to do as we have always done and purchase the items separately. Thanks.
P.S. The "jumping" of the pages makes the game unplayable.

And now I can't attempt any new major assignments, since my tab is now filled with assignments for which I have already been graded. I even tried switching majors but no luck. It seems like every single day I have at LEAST one new sister with the following problem: they are unable to collect gifts at ALL. They log in, message center shows 0. People try to send them a gift and while they can see it in their notifications, the message center never displays it. If they try to accept a gift directly through FB notifications, they get a message that SL is "under maintenance". As you might imagine, this SERIOUSLY impedes them from being able to do almost anything, let alone anything in Fairytale Adventure. No tickets, no energy, no craft swag, no gifts at ALL. I don't see much rhyme or reason to it - it seems like it's happening with low levels, high levels, long time players, shorter time players, etc.
What are you doing to rectify this? I'd like to know it's going to be fixed before it becomes even more widespread.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that "community manager" means that Whitney deals with the community - the players , not the developers. Yes, she does have influence on them, but I doubt she has the final say in what they do. That being said, though, I do agree that there are way too many glitches. A few every so often is understandable, but with the sheer amount of glitches we have and how badly they affect us, I'm pretty surprised. It doesn't seem like PD tests their new features at all unless you count using their own players as guinea pigs - which is really a terrible way to test. The reason you test your features in the first place is so you do not piss off your players with glitch after glitch! ;) Testing them on ordinary players defeats the purpose! They should really put the new features through more rigorous beta testing- I expected PD to have a more solid footing on these issues by now.
About the SA, I would also rather have fewer clicks and higher required tickets for the events. Not really loving using tickets for crafting either, but that's just a small annoyance. I am liking the glam, though!

So I know it's a little misleading, but not all requests marked as "SOLVED" are necessarily considered "SOLVED" ... it simply means that your ticket has been responded to. Customer support carefully relays the information they receive from the tickets to the team just as I do from your posts on the forum. I know this isn't a satisfying answer, but I PROMISE you guys are being heard and that along with customer support, I am compiling information the best as I can so that the developers can put an end to the gifting issues. Note: issues PLURAL... it's a multi-faceted issue, often involving adapting to updates and changes on the three different platforms Sorority Life is offered.

I appreciate your support on this! Yes, I am DEFINITELY here to act as a liaison to the developers, but unfortunately, I don't have any final say. I'm incredibly disappointed about all the glitches that occurred this weekend as well... we've implemented many fixes today, so I'll check back in with you all tomorrow to see how things are shaping up.

My subscription was canceled earlier and I checked and I had the money to cover the charge and I spoke to my credit card company and the verified and said that no charges were made. I tried to resign up and it just says that it updated my information and it refreshes and nothing. The credit card company said no one tried to charge me. I am crushed because I still had never logged in to my minis to collect the puppy and dress and I will lose my VIP jobs on them. I put in a ticket with Ultimate Pay but I was wondering if you had heard anything about this

With so much glitch around the game I start consider to boycott and not to play SL anymore. Basically on the last few days I could not be able to play most of the part of the game. Whitney, maybe you should look at all the complaints before introducing new stuff to the game.

Hun it's not Whitney who's introducing new stuff. It's Playdom developers, and as far as I am aware, Whitney isn't (unless she's just a figurehead like "carol"). She's more of a PR person, a liaison between us on the forum & the developers.

Hi Whitney - I am sorry I have missed you but it is 1 am in Sydney , Australia and I too have to work in a few hours. I am a VIP member of SL. Some of my friends have had a shocking weekend on Sorority Life. They have not been able to accept/return gifts ; one of the events on the Fairytale Adventure has not been working (although I understand this has now been repaired); some house members have been locked out receiving a message 'site down for maintenance'. Personally I have experienced issues with my gifts completely disappearing, not being able to use the walk-off button to vote and the pages jumping unbelievably...yes I do try to reduce size to 57% but this does not help...plus I can barely read the page when it is at 57% even with my glasses.
These are the issues that have occurred this weekend. There is rarely a weekend when there is not a problem with the game. I would really like to know what is going on at Playdom ? We have been assured over and over that the issues are being looked at and will be fixed. We are also told there is 'limited support' on the weekend. I am sorry but I can only question this statement due to the continuing problems - especially on the weekend.
I and many others pay to support this game and I think we need some honest answers to our questions. I say 'our' questions because I know my friends have written to Playdom in relation to the issues I have raised above and many other issues.

vote on any WO's, join & help with quests & also I've got many sisters that I house but they don't house me which I think may be due to their house size as a sister who had over 2500 then removed over 300 people then she got me back. It seems to be happening where they have large houses. Could you investigate this problem too at some time because it means that you cannot play with these sisters any more.

I'm in the UK so not sure what time you will open up your next thread today but please can you see if you can get Playdom to communicate with it's players because so far filing a ticket has done nothing, with some players getting automated responses saying the same old thing & some getting none.

Agreed!! A formal response, a forum version of a Press Release made NOT by you, TOTALLY would be nice. At the very least it would show that the developers or management is hearing us!
I, too, cannot vote w/os yet, and I am STILL UNABLE TO SUBMIT A TICKET, which I know isn't necessarily a bad thing since the tickets are going unanswered anyway, which may explain why the ticket Toy Maker submitted FOR me is still unanswered. But seriously, NO RESPONSE is WORSE than a form response! My ticket number is 1175344. It was submitted 12/29/11. No email, no form letter, no response.

I'd really like to see a change to the burn list feature. If a level 50 can burn a level 100, then they should be treated as a rival and are open season to retailation. I understand that there are majors and having to burn people, but not being able to retaliate against them is a bit unfair.
What can be done about that?

So I know it's a little misleading, but not all requests marked as "SOLVED" are necessarily considered "SOLVED" ... it simply means that your ticket has been responded to.
Yup. But sort of nobody understand why the zendesk platform you guys use for the support ticket system has not the possibility to rename the labels so that anyone would get it:
CLOSED: when a ticket is closed but there might still be actions pending, but no further response is needed anymore between PD and player, other than that we can follow in for instance KNOWN ISSUES (you know, the ones not update since 8/5/2011) that a certain error is fixed in the update from dd/mm/2012...
In these kind of cases for instance : the issue is known and being worked on as #1234. Please follow the exact status of this issue in the KNOWN ISSUES list...
Than, for me, it would be ok when a ticket is closed...
RESOLVED: when a ticket issue is really 100% done, solved, resolved, not any action pending anymore, and error is fixed or credits are being made or whatever had to be done is done...

You know what? I think it's time I write a formal letter to Disney...
rmlawson, you said a mouthful with one sentence, & I agree 100%- it is outrageous that we never get a truly fixed bug/glitch, just a new patch on top of the old ones, never get an honest answer to our issues, complaints, or questions, and never get any advance notice about major changes in game-play that will pretty much pull the rug right out from under our feet when they hit us out of nowhere.
I feel bad for Whitney, wouldn't want her position for even one hot minute, she catches all the flack about EVERYTHING - because she is the only voice we hear from the realm of Playdom- all the rest are generated auto-responses with different names on them.
It would be nice to believe that somewhere in the massive entity known as "Corporation" there was at least one person who actually still cared about customer satisfaction, even nicer to get proof they exist.
And on that note, I don't know if I will be around when Whitney comes around today, so I am gonna get my 2 cents in now, I also have not been able to claim a single gift or respond to one request since Saturday. I have submitted a support ticket about it with screen-shots and so far received 2 auto-generated responses from "Willa". :rolleyes: "Will-a someone please fix this mess?"
I find it ironic that I was really so excited about this particular SA, & so tickled to get that one-day jump on the average players with my VIP membership-- now I have been literally dead in the water in regards to progress & game-play for FIVE days in a row- and the average play for free folks who are not victims of this latest disaster are so far ahead it is unlikely we will ever be able to catch up. Quest/philanthropy participation always dries up pretty fast, there are so many players who want to keep their current character levels, so they team up early, complete & collect rewards & move on to something else - too much IP involved in continuous participation... so when/if we ever get the chance to load up on swag & jump back in the game, we are gonna have our work cut out for us, to say the least.
Sure would be nice, just once to have good stuff to say on the forum, I remember when it used to be that way... but only vaguely - coz it has been quite a while...

I have a master of arts in corp communications...I KNOW I can write a letter that would make Disney take notice and crack the whip at PlayDUMB. Problem is I have less desire to do that and more desire to quit the game altogether. However, I think I will put some effort into it, because IF this game can return back to the glitch levels of 2 years ago, I would be a happy camper.

The puzzle is broken.
It shows I collected 9 pieces but I only have 6 glam items. I also can't select the piece I want.

I know u said do not mention the gifting problem..but after 8 DAYS of NO gifting..I am furious...Are we going to get an extension of the SA?? This is just wrong..and to get automatic responses on our tickets is just plain RUDE...But playdom likes when we buy bps...oh yeh!!

I know exactly how you feel about putting the time & effort into trying to find a way to get someone to actually LISTEN and RESPOND to the problems we are consistently dealing with & Playdom's failure to correct those issues, sometimes I think it would be easier to just grow vegetables with the competition- & I have attempted to "get in to" other games, but I really LIKE THIS one- especially the ability to communicate with a large number of "team-mates" in one central location & in real-time. I have been amused, enlightened and often down-right shocked (& that is a good thing!! LOL) while at the same time getting to shop, play games and get into cat-fights w/ the "competition", what more could a person ask for, right?? I have met some awesome people and have come to call them true friends, another definite bonus.
And (in agreement w/ you again) I think the game was functioning better and was generally a whole lot more fun to play 2+ years ago. I get all the stress and aggravation I need in the real world, this game was where I went for "time-off" from all that- somewhere I could go hang out with pals & put my feet up - these days my feet are planted on the floor while I sigh with exasperation at what is messed up THIS time...
Playdom, I wonder if you realize that (for the most part) the people who play this game are not children?? The majority of people I have come in contact with are "all grown-up" (I'm 44!!) Many of us have attended college or have some professional training - rmlawson4 (above) has a masters degree, I have my BS in Computer Science & Technology, I know real-estate agents, doctors, nurses, attorneys, small-business owners (just to name a few)- and we CHOOSE to play THIS game! We are, for the most part, the "EARNERS" in our real lives, which creates a HUGE number of potential "SPENDERS" - and surely you must realize that people are much more likely to spend money when they are satisfied with the product you offer. If I were a member of your "team" I would probably have ulcers just from thinking about the potential revenue you are losing each and every day these issues go unresolved. In just the past 2-3 months I have chosen NOT to spend at least $150-200 because I will not reward someone for bringing me a bologna sandwich when I wanted a steak dinner!
Recent statistics show approximately 500,000 people are playing Sorority Life, (down from almost 2 million approximately 2 years ago, FYI) if even 20% of those people have talked themselves out of spending $20 on a VIP membership or brownie points because of the constant issues & your failure to address & correct those issues in a timely manner, then you have let $2 MILLION just slip through your fingers... WOW... Is anyone listening NOW??
rmlawson- if you decide to go ahead with your letter, I would gladly add my voice to yours - whether it be a simple signature or a letter of my own. I really DON'T want to spend my money on seeds & farm animals somewhere else, LOL- I would much rather stay right here and spend it on imaginary clothes, cars, etc.. for my cyber-paper dolls. You are right - we ARE the potential spenders. I choose to spend my money on companies w/c.s. I, too, like the social aspect of the game, the live feed. That's what keeps me here despite the glitches. But they are losing money by not pleasing me (and many others). And there is only so much I will put up with before I, too, leave, regardless of the live feed & socializing I enjoy so much. If I come to the game & all I feel is frustration, what does that really get me? Yes, real life is full of aggravation & stress. I come here to "destress". I will find another game to destress then. And it will NOT be a Playdom game, and I will investigate to make sure it is a game w/a company NOT affiliated in ANY way with Playdom or Disney. And then, well, Playdom will lose its ability to market to ME, lose its potential for earning money from ME.
