HAPPY 2012, SISTERS! I hope your New Year's Eve celebrations were fantastic.... full of friends, loved ones, and glitter that lingered for days. While spinning out from the holiday season can often cue a tinge of sadness, we were sure to include a slew of New Year's content for you all to enjoy to ease the transition... such as the NYE Confetti Gown (definitely had to rock that one), the Best of 2011 Vintage Boutique items (many of these came from the suggestions you gave me right here on the forum, thanks so much to those of you who contributed!!), and the Brand New Year 2 Point Gala. Gotta love new Glam on the cheap! While usually it's the clothing and accessories I'm after, I was particularly excited to see Vinny the Valentine make an appearance in this sale! <3 Swoooooooooon! <3

Though most of you probably know this, Moscow is coming to a close today. Consult the Moscow banner to get the most updated countdown time. Be sure to claim all of your Glam before the location goes away! Also, start getting excited for our new location!! Any speculations/hopes/yearnings/wishes on where we're headed next?! Perhaps somewhere with a bit more sun?? :cool:

As we're not sure of the EXACT date of the new location launch, be sure you sign up for VIP if you haven't already to insure that you acquire access to the location a day early, one of the many perks and privileges of VIP! ;)

In terms of current issues, I feel like I've relayed pretty much all the problems mentioned in the last thread to the team, however, please PLEASE let me know if anything has been popping up this week.

There are two Major Errors I have been still getting...

I have been doing the Aesthetics Lecture Course for the Art Major and trying to get the Dot Tights with a B grade and I keep getting the Hound. According to Playdom you are supposed to get the Dot Tights with a B grade.

There is also an Error on the History of Psychology Course...

I have done this course three times and I get an A but I never recieve the A Glam... Which is: Blonde Having Fun Hair (Charm: 23, Pop: 3)

I wrote to support, but no help there... I would hate to do these two courses again and get the same glam.

Do you know if this is fixed or is there anything you can do to help?

I want to state something about the Best of 2011 Vintage Boutique. At the first times, I was really happy that the two hairstyles, I wanted to have, were there so I could immediately get them. However, I felt disappointed afterwards due to the lack of the items in the VB. The Best of 2010 was quite successful because it had more items than The Best of 2011. I hope the team considers this and puts more items in the next year's the Best of VB...

Second, I want to ask for something. Pretty please, can we have past SAs' LE glam in the VB ?? Study abroad programs have some amazing LE glam. It is SO unfortunate that it does not come back. And a bit unfair because study abroad glam or not, it's LE glam like any other and we can buy it without even unlocking the SA program or being under the shopping tab in it.

I am having the same issue of not being able to get the tights with a B grade and it happened most recently day before yesterday. So if it was supposed to be fixed last week it is still ongoing.

I have added several people to FB that play SL but their names do not come up for me to send a SL invite. Also if you type their name nothing comes up! How do you suggest we add people to our house?

Also, do you have an update on Merit Kingdom? I purchased BP's in the last sale but did not get any crowns for doing it. :(

Whitney, I appreciate that you are the "messenger" and NOT the problem. HOWEVER, regarding the Upgrading when is "Soon"? I am one that is not able to access this feature (as I was also unable to access the Road Trip for weeks). It has been 6 weeks! That is not "Soon" to me...just saying. Is there a way to find out from the "powers that be" when "soon" is?

I understand that Merit Kingdom is in Beta, and it is because of that why I am asking...I bought some BP's during the New Years Sale and had been hoping it would count toward leveling up on Merit Kingdom. I was wondering where I need to report this? A regular ticket? Or wait a few more days? I figured that buying BP's was buying BP's, regardless of a sale...I just want to make sure...BP's bought [even during a sale] counts towards leveling, correct? :)

Each gift have a time limit before they get disappeared. I believe upgrade gems can only be accepted within 24 hours after the person sent you.

Additional today after reaching certain accept limit of the gifts we can refresh the browser and accept another.

I understand that PD needs to earn money beyond VIP and BP purchases, but the excessiveness of the ads needs to be looked at. Every now and again during events... okay.. if it needs to be that way, so be it. But when I went to collect gifts, I got a popup ad with every click. Very annoying. I have a popup ad blocker for this reason, because I DO NOT WISH TO SEE POP UP ADS! However, implementing it with SL makes OTHER parts of the game NOT WORK. (like the majors)

Is there any way that the team can tone the use of pop-ups to x number of keystrokes, or whatever it is they use, so we can try to enjoy playing the game?

Also, I think there would be a lot of support for separate accessories tabs (IE Jewelry/Tights/Purses). Do you think this is something you could bring back to the team for consideration? I know A LOT of us were really disappointed that we couldn't wear our tights with our gloves for ABC 25 days of Christmas outfit.

I was going to mention it here on the forum when I took the Biology Lab for the 4th time, made sure that I finished with a B, and got the Clipboard again instead of the Woven Silver Bracelet. However, I saw that you had posted that it should be fixed and decided to bit the bullet and try again with another course...... Well I hate to tell you that it is NOT fixed. I'm tired of taking courses over and over trying to get the glam that should be available and it not dropping. I have opened plenty of problem with support but by this time there really should be someone on the development team that is actually trying to test this stuff before they say "it's fixed".

This morning I finished the Medicine and Society course again, received a B, and and got another Helpful Puppy and not the tights.

Please stop telling us to open problems and tell the staff to test the code. They don't have to wait 7 days to see if it works or pay for BPs for Required reading or to speed up the process so put the responsibility on THEM to test their darn code. If you want to give me access to an unlimited number of BPs I'll be happy to test it for them. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

The Ski Trip Gala says that the gifts can be sent and received the week before Wednesday, January 11th, so I think it's not a mistake, they released it today on purpose.

I've seen many people report about this B exclusive prize again.
This is ridiculous.
They put up a prize to grab for full 7 days waiting and then we are told that we cannot get it.
Who is responsible for our waiting and waste required reading during such 7 days?
Could we get something to re-fund?

I think it's really unreasonable for people to do events for days at a time, only to end up with multiples of the same item, when it is clear that other items can be obtained with the same grade. I don't understand why this event has to be a game of chance, don't we have enough activities in SL that rely on this philosophy?

A good fix would be to ensure an item with a particular performance. For instance,

Completing all seven tasks w/o any failures AND grade is A = you get a boarder
Completing 5-6 tasks w only one/two failures AND grade is A = you get Eric
Completing 5-6 tasks w only one/two failures AND grade is B = you get something else

That way people will know exactly what to expect when they do majors. Between main and minis, I have done this event 8 times, and I know the performance has varied from acing all tasks to failing a couple, only to pull up my grade at the last couple tasks. Yet, all I get is Erics. Come on already! And if all of that is too complicated, at least alternate the prizes, geez.

Actually Majors is not supposed to be the game of chance. There is a glitch which makes you get duplicates

Just spent yesterday begging for votes and whiteboard hopping to vote for others in the quest to get 100 votes for my majors assignment. I did this while switching through my minis to collect the 5-day gift for each one. Imagine my surprise when I finally made it back to my main only to find that the votes I had gotten all day did not register with my Major assignment!!!!!! Really REALLY LAME! Since this is the second to last assignment and I WAS getting an A, I sure hope I can complete the last assignment and still get an A.

If you're gonna give us tasks that require us to do something intramural-related, at least make sure the IM page loads. I failed an assignment yesterday because I had half an hour to join an IM and the page never loaded during that time. :(

I've seen this in the feed. I am NOT VIP & not receiving emails. Seems PD can't even program their own auto emails correctly lol!


Why is this current 5-day event starting on a Saturday? Is it to maximize then number of people who will miss collecting an item? I can think of no other reason to start one on a weekend, which I can't recall ever happening before, right after the 10 p.m. deadline was implemented.

I'm guessing it was on purpose so that we didn't have to collect when S.A. started? Not sure when it starts but I just assumed...

Also, Whitney, is the 'team' EVER going to address the issue of disappearing gifts? If I miss out on today's 5-day gift on secondary characters because of this, heads will roll.

Toy Maker responded that he emailed me, but I didn't get the email. So I sent him an email in here, via the forum. He sent me my ticket number (http://support.playdom.com/tickets/1175344). However, I cannot access that & have not received a response (that was 12/21/11). I have tried multiple times to reach him w/no response. Can you check on that for me? I mean, I cannot even submit a ticket to find out why I can't! Someone, PLEASE HELP ME! :)

Also the Majors are still not working even though you said they were fixed. The B prizes are still not being awarded. I have gotten the puppy several times for getting a B in Medicine and Society (got him for an A too) and I can't get the tights. Very frustrating since unless you spend BP's this course takes 7 days

1. Whitney, I am tired of getting that hideous huge dog everytime I do this major to get the tights !
2. I am tired of major tasks with Intramurals involved because IMs won't load and ofcourse would surely fail in the major !
3. Could you please change items in the VB? I'm sure everyone has bought those already and couldn't possibly missed one item that they would most likely to buy. They've been there for weeks now and I personally would want other vintage items requested that you did not include in the best of 2011.

Whitney, come on. It just happened AGAIN!!!:mad: Fortunately I was able to collect the 5 day gift but all the replacement items my house sent (espressos and pink gems) are GONE! This is beyond ridiculous!

Hello,

There are two Major Errors I have been still getting...

I have been doing the Aesthetics Lecture Course for the Art Major and trying to get the Dot Tights with a B grade and I keep getting the Hound. According to Playdom you are supposed to get the Dot Tights with a B grade.

There is also an Error on the History of Psychology Course...

I have done this course three times and I get an A but I never recieve the A Glam... Which is: Blonde Having Fun Hair (Charm: 23, Pop: 3)

I wrote to support, but no help there... I would hate to do these two courses again and get the same glam.

Do you know if this is fixed or is there anything you can do to help?

Even i had the same problem, i was doing ART MAJOR , intro to art, i had A grade uptill step 6/7 so for the last step i purposely didnt do the 7 step in order to get a B grade for the Gold fishbone necklace, in the end i did get a B grade but i got Palette[which is a reward for A grade] as reward this was sometime during last week, i have restarted the same major again

It just happened for the THIRD time today. This time I lost over 50 tickets and 60 expressos. I had 110 gifts that disappeared. :(

I need to wait until tomorrow before I can get to Fairytale Adventure, while VIPs can get in now. When is the house members issue being fixed so that we can see all people on my feeds are in my house so that we can accept Quest requests as well as being able to steal sweethearts but not attack/slap/burn them?

Please, please, please have the team look into why I can't find most of my active sisters in the list for gifting and philanthropies/quests! This is a huge hindrance when trying to get my quest team together. I type in a name of an active sister and the name does not appear so I am unable to send invites and gifts to at least half my house. This needs to be fixed!
