I have a question about energy.

After I have played a scene and I don't have anymore energy to continue playing, there's a pop-up that is appearing on my screen proposing buying some energy with gold or asking friends to help. If I choose the second option, I publish a post on my FB wall informing my friends that I need more energy. When my friends click, they win a bonus of 100$.

My question is, how many energy per click do I win?

They get the bonus but the post also goes to their message center so they can "help out" by giving you energy. You get 1 "can" of 5 energy points from everyone who helps you.
I never thought about it but I'm not sure if it gets sent to all of your neighbors' message centers, or if they have to click to get the bonus first.

I can answer that last part. I very rarely click on the posting for the bonus but I still get them in my message center. I don't know if it goes out to everyone's message center though. I would think not just because we haven't seen a lot of posts saying it's a great way to get 100 energy cans, but I can't think of any pattern to how it does work.

I'm in the case where my energy is too low to play a new scene.

The pop-up appears automatically on my screen. Every time I refresh, it comes up and every time, I can send an energy help request, which I do by sharing a post on my wall.
Question 1: If I ask for help every time, will there also be posts in my friends message tabs every time too?
Question 2: For the posts on the FB wall, if people click on all of them, will they earn free bonus every time or just the first time and have error message after that?
Question 3: If answer to question 2 is the second option, it means I must wait before asking help again. So, how long?

There's a pop-up that seems the same but when you click the 'ask help' button, it's not the same action than with the ones that come automatically. This is the pop-up that appears when you click on the 'get more energy' button in the energy bar. In this case, the action to request energy help from friends is the same as the ones for asking materials for buidings. You can send those once every 24h, even if you have already request help with the others pop-up?
Question 4: If I ask help with this pop-up, will my other requests sent by the other pop-ups will appear in the message tabs of my friend and will they be effective if someone clicks on the FB wall posts?

I answered my own questions by running some tests with some neighbours.

As I have said, there's two kind of pop-ups for energy help:
- one, when you click on the 'ask friends for help' button, you send requests for help the same way as the requests for materials or buiding help, which goes on the message tab of the neighbours. Every time a friend click on it, you earn a can of 5 energy unit;
- two, when you click on the 'ask for help' button, there's a FB pop-up that appears to share a post a your FB wall. Your friends click on it on your wall, their earn a 100$ bonus and you earn a can of 5 energy bonus for each click (in the FB limit for bonus.)

I was wondering about the energy requests today.

I had a request for energy on my newsfeed from a neighbor. I clicked "get bonus" and as always it took me to my garden to tell me that i got the 100 bonus BUT it never says anything like "you helped your neighbor" and there wasn't a request for it in my message center, so...if I click the request/bonus from my newsfeed page, does it take the request out of my messages and if I don't get the bonus, does the request...ugh! Can't explain it!!

What I'm trying to say is that I always see the energy request from various neighbors on the newfeed page BUT I rarely ever see it in my message center...why?

I think that's what didip is explaining but my right-sided brain sometimes needs visuals to understand stuff.

**Ok...when I open my garden I get the "Ask Friends For Energy" popup. I always see that but rarely have to use it, so where is the other help with energy request? If I knew that part, I might understand the newsfeed vs message center question better. I've been playing for 6 months and have never noticed 2 different help with energy options.

You know when you click on the 'ask friends for energy' it says they can get some for themselves too. I don't think it works that way.
I would certainly rather have the energy instead of the $100. What about you?

I think it just says "get bonus". I've never seen it say I'd get energy too.

Confused ~ when we give energy to neighbors does it come from our own reserve of energy cans ~ and when we send materials are we giving away the things we need for our own upgrades? ~ A bit blonde I know but I am confused with this thread ~

Any time you give energy to a neighbor or fulfill a help request for materials, it does NOT come out of your inventory. The ONLY thing that comes out of your inventory is when you send a wishlist item to one of your neighbors. Everything else you have in unlimited supply to honor requests.

My exact words to everyone who asks that question. lol

And...I just did a little experiment.
I knew that the energy & materials expire after a month, I'm pretty sure it's 30 days but Sept. had 30 and Oct. has 31 so I'll have to wait to Nov. 1st to check that part but I wasn't sure about the time of day it was sent. I just accepted 3 energy gifts that were sent 30 days and a few hours ago and they didn't work but the one I accepted that would have expired an hour from now did work. So yes, it's not only the day but also the time.
