wondering how to go about building the silver like some of you have? I am at level 37, my reputation is not an issue since my quests are open to half way through quest 14 (I am at the end of 11 currently) But now I find with only one more star needed to complete my last quest I have to have 30K more silver to level up ... Been trying to build my silver but can not for the life of me figure out how you ladies do it (those that say millions lol)

I will admit I do not score in the TOP of the points with blitzs etc I sure wish I had a touch screen !!!

As one with millions, I can only advise making sure you do your daily visits to as many friends as possible and playing scenes over and over and over until you are dreaming about them at night! *g* It all adds up eventually.

Exactly.... and then I spend mine on leveling up by buying stuff and selling it right away... great way to use silver and get a precious gold once in a while it will give you XP to level up quicker.... also... I dont have a touch screen but still score well with a mouse on my laptop ... sooo yes... repeat scenes often will get you more silver than you know what to do with:))))

I would suggest that every time you get some energy that you do the highest paying scene in the chapter you are on. Usually it is the 5th scene, unless you have bought the 6th scene for gold. That is how I got my "millions", playing the 5th scene over and over and over until you see the items every time you shut your eyes!! http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/JudyKayinMI/smi%201/nightsmilyzzz.gif

All of the above and Play every 3 Hrs....till you level up...play only the scenes with the highest silver, Read your mail..you can get 100 silver by clicking on every email of your neighbors info if you get there within the first 20 people clicking...everything from their finding stuff in your garden to them leveling up, you can get a lot that way, do every blitz, place every present you can in neighbors gardens. Make sure you are signed up for the daily email bonus. collect every daily bonus on the game...it all ads up. Good luck.

I always spent as much silver to increase rep as much as possible, but when I got to the end of chapter 14 and 15 wasn't complete, I still played as hard as before and then built up the silver. I currently have over 2 million even though I just spent about 500,000 to increase my garden to the max and fill in the boxes with new items to increase rep enough to open the last box in chapter 17. Believe me, once you catch up to the last chapter out you will gain silver too, but until then, spend spend spend!! and size does matter!!

I suspect they are also spending gold. I am at Level 50, but to be able to keep up with the scenes and not spend any gold, I am having to cram my garden full of the highest rep buildings and I never have more than about 250,000 in silver.

I literally try to perfect High Level Chapter scenes so this way I would earn silver like crazy. Forget about the Collections for now--they just waste your time and drive your attention away from using a Chapter 16 or Chapter 17 scene just for extra Silver. If you can get a respective score (550K or so), then you can hoard up to 3500 Silver in just that scene alone (but don't expect to earn as much silver on the Paradox Scenes, though), PLUS you can earn about 1300XP per play, so if you had 60 Energy Points (Each scene costs 10 Energy to play), it's an easy 21K Silver and 7800 XP. If you play it right, you shouldn't have to worry about running out of silver unless you're in an extreme Garden Makeover.

You can't actually 'sign' up. If you are a member of the forum you are automatically signed up. However, the daily emails haven't been working right lately...I haven't received mine since level 14 or 15 came up. I know a lot of people aren't getting them anymore. Some kind of glitch.

Callie, I never had much silver at level 50, either. It wasn't until I hit about 60 that I started getting enough silver to hoard, rather than spend on buildings to open the next scenes. I think it helped that the wonders were getting more REP, too. Now I am at level 70 and have 3 million in silver.

Sometimes I get the daily email and sometimes I don't. Lately whenever I get it it tells me I have more of Hera's Peacocks instead of silver. *sigh*

There is another thread on the 'Suggestions and Feedback' section called 'Silver' which I replied to only today.
http://forum.playdom.com/showthread.php?59393-silver

Here is what I said:

Oddly enough, I was playing the new chapter today and I remembered your question and I suddenly realised that there is another answer also.

For those of us who have been playing since the beginning, we finish each new chapter in a couple of days, then we have 10 days to replay it before the next chapter comes out. Most people will keep replaying scene 5 as it has the highest XP and silver.

So people who are new to the game will play all the way through a chapter....and then move on to the next chapter. Spending silver as they go.

They don't really get a chance to just sit back and replay a chapter, ad infinitum, and stock up on their silver and XP.

So. I guess that's why some people have less. They keep having to spend it and don't have the time to just sit back and build up their stockpile.

Of course, Once they finish the most recent chapter THEN they will have time to twiddle their thumbs and build up their silver. It will just take longer as some of us were building up our stockpiles weekly, chapter by chapter, from when the game first came out.

I don't know if anyone has actually realised this or if it's an obvious point and me saying it is just like trying to teach your grandma to suck eggs (as the saying goes).

Oh well, just a thought. Hope it helps. :)

Apologies to AngieDawn if I'm not allowed to post this twice. :)

That's interesting. I'm at level 64 and have 8,811,809 in silver. I "wonder" how that happened?

Excuse the pun - I couldn't resist! :D

You also need to go to the FB page for GOT...and LIKE it. I have been getting the dialy bonus every day since I started except today. yesterday they sent the Victorin News and I got a extra bonus can of energy ( thats 2 bonuses in one day), I also daily check that FB page for info, thats how I found out about Fan Apprication Week and the free things. If you dont know how to find it then go to the bottom of the GOT game page and you will see the blue words...press on LIKE, its also the fastest way to the FORUM....then on the page make sure you LIKe it again.

Maybe if you "unlike" the page and sign out of FB, sign in again and "relike" the page you will start to get the daily emails - it's worth a shot!

You're already a pro here, Snousey :D That's definitely the trick to try. Sadly though it doesn't seem to work for a few of us (myself included) anymore.

White Wabbit, that's exactly what I was about to post here. The only reason I have so much silver is because I've been playing since the beginning when we only has 6 chapters. I caught up quick so like you posted, except for about 4 days a month, I play the highest scene over and over and just hoard silver. Since I'm playing as the scenes come out, I don't really need to spend my silver to spam buildings because my rep keeps up for the most part. I don't see any point myself in buying items just to level up repeatedly since once I get to 70 that's it so I don't spend my silver there either.

I never had a lot of Silver either until I caught up with the Chapters. And like others have stated, when you have 4-5 days each week to do nothing but play your best scene, you can earn a lot of Silver. After I got a lot of Silver, I did start building like crazy just so I could level up and get another Gold bar. Then I sold most of that off just to get more Silver to repeat the process. I did that to level up 2 more levels. (2 Gold. Woohoo!!)
HOWEVER, I just can't believe this game will always continue like this where we will be able to accumulate ridiculous amounts of Silver for no apparent reason or purpose. I believe they will have to address that and give us options for using all that Silver. Therefore, I plan to always hang on to at least 5 million Silver. (I am on level 64)

That's it exactly! :D

When I come here I have 60 points to play with. I can get another 50 points by using 10 energy cannisters. And I can gain about another 60 points just by visiting friends gardens. That's 170 points = 17 games. Each game gets me well over 1,000 silver coins.

When a new chapter comes out, I might spend 20,000-30,000 silver coins depending on what I buy and how many of each item I buy. Well I already have 17,000 silver and every 3 hours I will get another 60 units of energy, so that's another 6 games to play and another 6,000+ silver coins.

17,000+ coins plus 6,000+ coins = 23, 000+ coins.

3 hours after that I will have another 60 units of energy, so that's another 6 games to play and another 6,000+ silver coins.

23,000+ coins plus 6,000+ coins = 29, 000+ coins, which is what I have just spent on buying all the latest silver items.

So for the next 11 or so days, every time I play and earn silver coins they are just going in the coffers!

It means that when I buy blueprints or upgrade my garden size by 100,000 silver, those costs are just a drop in the ocean to me!

Oh! How I wish it was that way in real life!!!!!! ;0)

I've been playing since April, too...probably not from the very get-go, but close. In the beginning I didn't have as much time to play as in the last few months, so probably why I don't have as much silver. It also took me awhile to get enough neighbors to expand my garden. Then I discovered the "Get Neighbors" thread on here and away I went!! :D :D

Snousey...I tried that trick, too....along with everything else anyone has come up with...STILL no email!!! http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/JudyKayinMI/smi%204/Pouting4.gif

Ivy,
At the bottom of today's email it said:

"You are receiving this email at xxxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxx.xxx because you signed up for email alerts through Facebook. If you would no longer like to receive emails, unsubscribe and you won't hear from us again."

So, it doesn't appear that the "like/unlike" option is what triggers it. Looks like it's through the APP interface with Facebook.

Obvious question - did you check your spam folder? Also, are you getting other email notifications from GoT? I just had a neighbor request email from GoT too.

Hmmm....well then I don't know why it stopped coming. I haven't gotten emails from my neighbors since before my other emails stopped. I really don't understand what you mean about the app interface with facebook. Isn't the app the one I liked in order to get the email in the first place? (Also, no....not in my spam. I look periodically)

Snousey

What I meant by APP interface is when you allowed the app in the beginning, which worked because you used to get emails. I looked through the FB help section but couldn't find anything on "no longer receiving emails from apps". Most of it dealt with not wanting to receive emails, lol.
