I know there are a few posts here showing Gardens memorializing the events of 9-11. I thought it would be good to devote a thread just for this occasion - just for this weekend. Here is my small contribution. This is not political - just a nod to those innocent people who perished on this terrible day. May God bless America.....and the world.

Great idea!

Excellent use of the flowers and crosses there. And I like the bridge as the dash in "9-11". Symbolic in itself as well.

That's very thoughtful of you, using your GOT decoration skills to remember the 2200 people (or so) we lost 10 years ago, and seriously, we definitely need to have a Fan Appreciation Wonder in the name of "World Trade Center". Now having the World Trade Center in our gardens will help us remember the people we lost 10 years ago. Both towers, seriously.

I also love that fact that you are "re-building" around the site. Probably not on purpose, but it looks great! I also love the r/w/b flowers! May they all rest in peace.

This garden belongs to one of my neighbors. It is the prettiest garden I've seen in along time. I believe she deserves recognition for the time she puts into her garden.
She puts alot of time into keeping it pretty and coming up with different ideas. Updated now with the Empire State building fully upgraded.

How ironic that the fellow with the exclamation point is captured here - he appears to symbolize the shock the people that day experienced. Whether intentional or not - it is quite powerful.

That is the Chrysler Building and is available for 20 gold under the buildings tab. And, it is awesome!

Grabbed his from the "Show Us Your Gardens" thread - it inspired me to start this one. Hopefully - more people will be able to see it here. Credit to cme4loans for original post.

These are all wonderful! The man with exclamation mark is a work of art. And in Mary's Garden the Time Machine reminds of the Sphere Sculpture that used to sit on the main plaza. It sat atop a fountain that was a cooling relief in that great expanse of white concrete. I was really happy to that the sculpture survived the attacks and now sits in battery park.

I would love to see them add something along the lines of the twin blue lights that were showing in New York in early 2002. We went to New York just to see them and it was really touching.
