Signing Up for Bonus Emails?

Hi, I haven't been receiving my daily bonuses for the last few days. Have they any level limit or something?

I've just started receiving mine (despite being playing since early April), but can't get the ones posted on my profile, just get an error message when I try. Maybe they've had a shake-up?

Maybe I'll do that again. I could do without some of the stuff they send but I liked getting the free XP. :-)

It should come from your fb account. I had to block the app then re-allow it for mine to start coming.

Anne, if you haven't done it yet, go to FB and block the GOT app then re-add it. You won't lose any of your data or gameplay, but you will reathorize the game to send you emails. That has triggered it for a few of us who weren't getitng it either. There's more in depth places on FB to check too but that's an easy first one.

The bonuses have been spotty but except for those couple days, I'm getting them again. Sometimes late in the day, but they are showing up. I hope others are seeing the same thing :-)

They come from fb when you allow the GoT app access to your account. I wasn't getting them until I blocked the app then re-allowed it. Go to your fb privacy settings then to apps and uncheck Gardens of Time. I typed the title into my fb search to find the app again then allowed the access like I did when I first started playing.

Jenny, it was a quest for me to get them also, lol. I did like Lisa said above, blocked the app & readded it so it would authorize again. I can't guarantee it will work but for a lot of us (including me) it did.

I wonder if for some reason it is blocked. Go to your News feed (from the home page) not the new fangled game center area. Then choose most recent and then go to the bottom and choose edit options and see if maybe GoT was blocked from showing in your news feed.

When I click on the little red notice thingie at the top of the page that says so and so sent you a request...

I know they can't fix it and it's not really a big deal, I can get the bonuses from my home page. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't only happening for me. I've learned how to be much more patient since I started playing this game. lol

Aye, another thread got started by someone else having the same issues. I suggested they try to use the news feed. I used to spend an hour a day collecting bonuses for CoW. It seemed too much like work. I have maybe collected 1 bonus from GoT. I sure do not need the $ now, lol.

I used to go back and forth from my game to home page to get the bonuses but it started telling me that I couldn't collect anymore so I just do it now and then. I don't need the coins either. lol

Maybe they're doing more updates. Which in the past have been useless. So many people were mad about them changing the way the profiles looked...including me. At first it was an option then they changed them all anyway.

I never opted to change my profile. I am not happy with how groups look now and am miffed my group from before the change is going to be switched over.....

I had mine set so it wouldn't change but they changed it anyway. I HATE that when you get tagged it shows the picture in the banner. I wanted nothing to do with having my face plastered across the top of my profile. I made a banner for it now but if I get tagged again I have to untag it cuz it messes up my banner.

once you sign up at playdom.com you start getting e mail bonuses for GoT on Facebook. I had to sign up there to be able to file a support ticket.

I do not know how they figure it out - but when I played City of Wonder I started out getting bonuses for FB then started getting them for Playdom and then back to Facebook. It was weird.

I have gotten emails that will say there is a bonus from my neighbor, but I have always been too late to receive one.

I think you are supposed to be automatically signed up to the email address you gave to Facebook. If it is a different addy than what you normally use, try looking at that one. I didn't start getting any until I'd played several months. Then I got them until 2 weeks ago....now they don't come anymore. So I don't know if that is a bug or not, since it has to do with FB and not Playdom.

Ivy is right here. We've been told that the official answer is there's no way to sign up for the email bonus or to get added through support. Unofficially, many of us have found that if you remove GoT from your FB page and then go to the app and reauthorize it the daily bonus was triggered. But with the email bonus problems happening now that Ivy brings up, that one would be hard to test for the time being.

How would you remove GoT from your FB page? Would I simply "unlike" it?....and then like it again?
I think I found the Ap or GoT page......but in a round about way. I searched Gardens of Time and kept getting the game
or a cause or other stuff. Could you please direct me in getting to the GoT page easier? Thank you. :)

I never knew how many people had started up GoT things until I searched for this same reason the first time too, lol. The easiest way is to go to the game first and click on the "give a 5 star review" button at the top. That will take you to the official game page. Here's the direct link too: http://www.facebook.com/GardensofTime

The way to remove it is to go to your FB page and click on the "x" beside the game listing. You'll get a pop-up menu & on the bottom left will be a link to "remove the app"

You will get your game back as soon as you re-like the game. I deleted another FB game accidentally, and just went into my apps and unblocked it and it came back with all my points and etc. on it.

You need to go into your GOT game like you are ready to hit the time machine to play0 but dont----ant the very bottom of the GoT screen is blue letters... you will see LIKE. press that and it will take you to the FB page for the app. make sure you have pressed LIKE at the top ...you will then get the updates and email.

To add to this: Officially we've been told there is no way to get "added" to the email bonus list. I don't get them anymore either even though I've liked the page and removed & re-added it, and even used to get them. For some reason that well dried up for me.
