Wishlists, it is nice if you post the images but please remember if you post too many you won't be able to see the images. Once you've posted your request, just wait until someone has answered your request. They may post on your VM with your new banner. You may have to check up on the person who is making your request or they may just tell you when it will be ready.

Banner sizes are: 60 x 468 pixels. Please be aware that even 1 pixel over can get you in trouble (learnt that the hard way .. nearly)! It will look like this:

I could use a bit of advice or help with it. Actually I'd rather have the pics looking like photos pinned to a board (maybe with some torn-paper edges), not just like rectangles.

I love it just the way it is, but I love your idea about pics pinned to a board. What you want to do may only be possible with Photoshop....unless you can find some cool brushes for Gimp. I am using Corel Paintshop Pro and there is a way to convert Photoshop brushes, but I can't be bothered to read the tutorial (yet :-D ). I tried using Gimp, but had a hard time navigating the tools and whatnot. Maybe there should be a tutorial on the forum (hint hint).

*Edit* I just looked at your sig. It's perfect the way it is because it's different from the ones I've seen on here so far. But if you want to make it look like pics on a board, try using an image of corkboard for the background and rotating a few of the pics around. They already look like polaroids. Then maybe finding some images of thumbtacks and place them to make them look like they're 'pinned' to the board.

I might try rotating them a bit, though if I did I would have to shrink them as well because of the angle and space needed for pins and they are small enough. Alternatively, the current version will just grow on me.

Out of curiosity, how did you make the scribbler siggy?
A friend of mine made a tutorial for it years ago, but I can't find it now. First of all, you have to have an animation program, if you do, you can just save the scribbler and open it in the animation program so you can see all the frames and get an idea of how it was done.

Otherwise, I'll try to explain it as best I can. First you have to have a script font that's like pretty basic cursive, with all the letters joined up, and no extra swirls or flourishes. This one is called Mistral.

The thing with this sig is that it's made backwards. You start with the last frame, with everything written out (note: with some fonts, the "join" between the letters may not be totally smooth, I personally like to go in and clean this up before moving on to the next step.) This is the last frame of the animation, but it will be the first one that you make. Make a copy of this frame, and add it before the last frame. Delete the last thing in the scribbler that would be made by a pen if this sentence were hand-written. In this case it was the period. I simply filled it in with the background color to erase it.

Copy this frame to a new one ahead of it. Delete the next little bit. It helps to actually slowly write the word or sentence that you're "scribbling" out by hand so you see each time your pen changes direction and makes a new stroke. In this case, it was the last upward right-hand stroke of the "o". I covered it and copied the frame to a new frame ahead of the last two. The next part I erased was the left side of the "o", but not the stroke that connects it to the "g". That I deleted next.

Repeat this process until you've erased everything. The first frame of your animation should be blank, the last should have the completed word. Play with the speeds of your frames to get a natural look to it. My first frame (blank) is set to 30/100ths of a second. The majority of the frames are set to 12/100ths of a second. A few exceptions are the frames just after a word is completed but the second is yet to start. These frames are 15/100ths of a second, giving a slight pause between words. The final frame, with the entire sentence, is 800/100ths of a second, before the whole thing repeats. One other important note. When I try and add text under my banner (I just want to link to my SL profile), it says that it is longer than the 2 lines which is the limit. It isn't though! Does anyone know how to fix this? It also said something about something being implicitly wrapped or something... causing it to be counted as more than 2 lines. I have no idea what this means haha. Help please! :)

The number of lines is counted in the BBCode, not in the plain text. How long is the whole code on the signature page? You can try to shorten the URL, too.

Even with the BBCode, it's under 2 lines. I've already tried shortening the URL but still it won't let me save! :(

And now my banner is not even showing up! Do you know why? It's the allowed size, and it was nothing inappropriate or anything it was just a Megan Fox banner that matches my avatar... :S

I had the same problem the first time I tried to save my sig. Try to save only the picture for the first time. Then try adding some text, only a few words, and resave. I don't know why it does that but I wasn't able to add more text for some time, either.

I had the same problem. The text that you want to put under your signature - make sure the text size is size 2. Once you change that, you'll be able to save the text and your signature.

Try uploading your picture somewhere else. Tinypic or Imageshack are both good. Photobucket works too. Right now the forum can't understand what your picture is. If you right click > open image in new tab, it says that there is no style info associated with the image.
