Question about goggles

Ok, so I can't figure out what the heck the goggles do?? I've used them a couple times and notice the circle gets lighter and darker...I don't understand lol....HELP

I'm not fond of them either - but when the goggles pass over an item on the list, the item is outlined so you can see it. I think this is the slowest of the hints and rarely find stuff with it. I much prefer the thermo hints which work faster and turn from blue to pink to red as your zero in on an item.

I agree with Jannieb, although alot of people like the goggles, I prefer the thermo hints, also.

I rarely find anything using the goggles I find the thermo much better.
