but its mostly the older classic Heavy Metal i like.

Yeah i know that's like hard rock but stills being a head banger's choice ;) a very classic and "light" rock. Thats why the sub genres there are a lot of bands and different genres its better make it widespread.

LOL imagine do you like Thrash, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Glam Metal, Power Metal, Speed Metal, etc., etc.

I like pretty much all of those subgenres (especially thrash metal) with the exception of glam metal , not my type... Though some of the bands I listen to (namely Motley Crue) do have glam metal characteristics in their music. :p

And nice list GIR, I don't know how I missed Rage Against The Machine, or Led Zeppelin from my list--great bands! (Can't really headbang to Led Zeppelin, but still...)

Both lists are great really but im a little busi for doing mine:P and the origin of head bang i dont know thats caracteristic of thrash because in times of maiden was the air guitar :3...

An important band in terms of the progression of modern Rock music, but they aren't really metal. I do listen to some Nirvana songs though, and they were a pretty decent band.
