Hi All! Sorry I missed last week. Below you'll find some notes regarding a few recent issues. Check them out, and let me know if you have any questions or conerns... Happy 4th to our American players!
Missing Gifts/ Invite Issues
To help solve the issue of missing gifts and invites, there will now be a limit of 2,000 messages (gifts/invites) in your game's inbox, and a limit of 500 gifts a day that you can send. This should improve this part of the game.
Crafting In Seoul
The crafting module was messed up last week, and rewards weren't collectable and crafts couldn't be started. The team released a fix for this later in the day and after refreshing and clearing cache, some users claimed it was all fixed for them. If you're still having issues about it, please let me know here or Support-- and if possible please attach a screenshot.
Words Galore
A fix for this feature will be released shortly. Right not, if you're on a browser that doesn't run HTML 5 (like IE), I would stay away from this. MySpace and Tagged users, this feature is having issues with your platforms, so I'd stay away as well-- at least until the team finds a fix around it. The team hopes to have this resolved soon.
If anybody else has any other questions, please let me know. Once again, I'll try to get back to them as soon as I can.

Are you not receiving any gifts/invites at all? Have you tried clearing your inbox first?

. i think a gift limit of 500 is a bad idea, in the case of 5 day events it means i wouldn't even be able to send the 1 gift to everyone in my house. never mind any other items they( or I) might be needing. plus there is no info on is sending a gift in reply to a request counts to our limits. on top of the timers on everything it is going to make it nearly immpossible to complete events
I hope that there is going to be a way to sort the gifts in our inboxes by type brought in soon to save us using our send limit up returning usless items people don't acctually need because we are clicking to fast

Are you not receiving any gifts/invites at all? Have you tried clearing your inbox first?
The last SL message (gift/invite) in my inbox was from 22 june and thats for everyone there.
Not 1 gift or invite is coming through since that date.

This is a terrible idea. I have over 600 ACTIVE Sisters!
As another person commented, do gifts sends AND Philanthropy requests (and whatever else Summer Fun-like you guys throw at us) count all together?
Are the limits going to be posted ON the Gifting page? Because something like this SHOULD BE.

Since you are going to LIMIT *US*, LIMIT YOURSELVES, TOO! Seriously, to play one character, obviously this is OK. To play more than one (and perhaps all 10), a limit on US is utterly deplorable! The limit should be on YOUR GAME. Seriously! What does limiting US have to do w/ANYTHING? And I ask that earnestly. What will limiting what WE send and accept do to help this? Where was the original problem? Us? Your servers? The programming? The constant roll out of things that need thousands of gifts and requests sent? What caused THIS limit to be imposed?

I will also echo the sentiments of my fellow SL players. Limiting players to 500 gifts sent is a HORRIBLE idea. I realize that the team may be trying to fix issues with the gift boxes which affect some players, but to limit all players in this way is a bad bad very oh so horribly bad idea. The game is designed to encourage, nay, even require large houses. Sending out 1 or 2 daily gifts to your entire house will easily exceed this 500 limit, especially with all the events we have to do: to name a few...5-day gifting (which by the way, we still don't like only having the ability to collect for 1 day only), SA, party planner whenever that makes a comeback and if anyone still cares to do it, regular daily fighting, socializing, collecting of whatever suits your fancy for that day, style upgrade...Aubrey, 500 gifts a day sent will NOT make the game better for most players. Does anyone in the team seriously even play the game?
Also I'll add that these bad ideas still exist within the game and players are still fuming about them. We haven't forgotten or forgiven.
1) 5-day gifts available to send AND collect for 24 hrs only. Collecting should be allowed for several days to a week at least. Many of us would prefer Mon-Fri gifts still but we can't all agree so at the very least allow us all to collect the darn things whenever in the week we can get to them.
2) Timer on the SA crafts. WRONG WRONG WRONG. This is so wrong, the timers need to be removed from crafting items and all the items players have had taken away should be restored into the SA. The SA are already time limited, parts of the SA do not need to be even more restricted.
3) Summer fun disappeared, nothing showed up to take it's place.... You told us that the team wouldn't extend summer fun because they couldn't break their precious schedule not even to appease the vast majority of their players. Well, nothing else has shown up. What would have been the harm with leaving summer fun stay in the game for a few days longer, it's not like it would have interrupted anything. It's been 6 days already (if I'm reading the records right) since summer fun disappeared. Those 6 days would have done A LOT to allow many more players time to complete the event and show us some small proof that Playdom cares about what it's player base thinks.

PD encourages us to have large houses by having that silly popup asking us to invite more people to play.
I do have another question. Is this limitation sending and receiving gifts and requests, per avatar or per account?

If you look at the IC list for best gifter these days, you'll see that the people on that list send tens of thousands of gifts per week (Mimi sent over 5 times that much). I suppose the limiting is PD's way of stopping the bots like SLH, but that's just my theory

Hi Aubrey,
As you know my VIP status was cancelled without my permission because you had trouble taking my money on your end. I was re-signed up yesterday, 2nd July, but consequently missed out on the VIP glam on 1st July. This was not my fault and I hope the missing glam is credited to all my characters. I am not the only one who has been effected and I hope everyone who was effected is credited their missing glam on all characters - after all the exclusive glam is one of the main reasons to be VIP and this is what we are playing for.
Do Playdom plan to credit everyone the missing glam?

For a "clear" explanation does the 500 INCLUDE invites or no?
You say "limit of 2,000 messages (gifts/invites) in your game's inbox" (which is clear you mean BOTH gifts and invites). But then you say "a limit of 500 gifts a day that you can send." So to me, this means 500 GIFTS sent. Just to be clear, does this 500 INCLUDE invites as well, or ONLY gifts?

500 gifts a day - is this per avatar(mini) or total per account? or is it per person, as in I can send 500 gifts to each person in my house? This needs further explanation.
Also, Aubrey, (this is not directed at you - but if you would pass this along to the powers that be, I would appreciate it). I would like to point out that PD is the one who created the In-Crowd list of Best Gifter, so they only have themselves to blame!

Everytime i accept a gift, it takes forever to accept the gift... The page keeps loading and loading and after god knows how many minutes, the gift appear in my swag. Totally unpraticable and REALLY annoying.

Not sure how the new gift limits are going to affect me.
I collected my max of gifts on eight characters today with no issues at all. They all claimed 50 tickets, 25 espresso, 25 milk tea, 5 upgrade gems, 5 arcade tokens, not to mention crafting supplies and lipsticks, chocolate bars and mochas. That was done on each character since reset last night. I never got any notifications of being over limit and the gifts did show up as I used the tickets on each.
I accepted and returned each gift.
So, Aubrey,
Please explain in detail how this new limit is supposed to work. Are you saying we cannot send more than 500 to the same one sister?

Aubrey I feel like the new limit made this worse :/ Now there's a pop up for *every* gift you accept/send & it's sort of a pain honestly.. I don't even want to accept ONE gift at this point...

Thank you for your post, I thought I was the only one with this problem. Every time I accept a gift I get a pop up that does not load and then closes, because of this it takes longer to accept. When I send gifts, the screen defaults to the home page then I have to go back into gifting and now it takes ever longer to send gifts. I enjoy the game but if this keeps up I am going to play a lot less or not at all. At this point, the frustration is just not worth it. These glitches ruin the fun of the game spending time waiting for screens. I hope this is addressed. Thanks

As you can see, on firefox is even worse. Because of this, i don't play on firefox anymore. This is happening for MONTHS. How am i supposed to play on the game if i can't see almost anything? So i was relying on chrome to play, but with this problem i'm stuck. Now what am i supposed to do? Install another browser? Because if this is the answer, then i'll quit altogether. I'm not having problem with any other game BUT this one. I did everything, cleared my cache, switch browsers (though firefox is useless as you can see, i didn't have problem before, accepting gifts there, but everything else - socialize, SA, etc is impossible to do)... I even reboot my computer and logoff and login a few times, change to my PC (i use firefox mainly on my notebook)... Nothing. Nada. So yeah, i'm frustrated.
Oh, i erased my friends photos and names in both pictures. So yeah, i can see their names and their pictures, i just prefer not to display here.
EDIT: I just tested IE and the same thing is happening. Guess i won't be playing SL until they fix this...

1. Is Playdom planning to unlock the timed crafts so those of us unable to get a bonus will still be able to craft the items? I don't see the point of the timer, and it's silly that the bonus is completely gone, I can't even choose to spend 12 BPs on it if I wanted to. There were major gifting issues over the weekend, so with between a lack of tickets and HORRIBLE drop rates on the Base Paint craft item I was only able to craft 6 tights, and didn't get a bonus. Others in my house don't have limits at all, and are able to craft their items & get the bonuses. It's bogus. With barely anything to buy when studying abroad it's nice to rely on crafts to get the extra items, but now apparently that falls by the wayside now for those of us stuck with the timer. Roll it out for everyone or no one. It's the stupidest idea I've ever heard of, honestly.
2. Gifting is a hot mess, obviously, but it looks like this will be addressed. Can you further explain how the 500 gift limit works? I only use 2 minis so I don't know how much it will affect me, but would like to know for future reference.
3. Summer "FUN": this is simply a comment, not a question; to me, then name Summer Fun implies that the event will last FOR THE SUMMER, not end when summer has just officially begun in the northern hemisphere. It wasn't clear to me from the get go that there was a timer involved so I didn't spend all of my SL time working on it, which I would have needed to in order to complete. I struggled getting sisters to join my event. I have many inactives in my house, but have about 30 people that I exchange gifts with regularly, and I could only get 14 people to come to my party. I didn't even finish the first segment so I'm not sure if the # of sisters needed grew in each venue, but perhaps that might be a better way to do it? First venue, 20 people, 2nd venue 25, etc etc.

BAD IDEA. Just a bad idea all around.
And I want the timed crafts unlocked, PLEASE! I really wanted the cat ear hair, but didn't get it in the time limit... it SUCKS that the loyal players are being punished with the time limit and the less frequent players don't have the time limit.

OMG YESSSSSS....... I had that last night the flashing while trying to do gifts was actually aggravating me so bad .... PLEZZZZZZZZZZ Playdom fix that .... that flashing was not only aggravating but was giving me a headache just trying to do gifts I actually would click accept then the 2nd click I had to close my eyes and by then Ughhhhh I was still seeing the flash when I closed my eyes how annoying ...also I to did the clear cashe and even reboot just to see if it would clear up ... NOTHING ughhhhhh

I'm fairly sure its the request that is being sent to the person you are returning the gift to. I have decided to stop playing SL due to customer mistreatment and unfair muting due to a fraudulent screenshot. Even after *I* had sent proof of my *own* accounts, I have yet to have the baning lifted. BBB here I come.
Congratulations PD, you just lost *another* player.

(And to everyone else, yes, I know, I say that, and I stay for my sisters, but this mistreatment of several sisters of mine, including P.A., TICKS ME OFF!!!) The gift limits I think I can handle or have sisters help, etc., but this "loading" thing is for the birds! I'd rather spend my time in another game!
And P.A., I am appalled at the treatment - you PROVED you were wrongly accused, WRONG NAME AND EVERYTHING, but PD does NOTHING?! Yes, I would quit, too!
TO ALL PLAYERS, PLEASE NOTE: If, for any reason, SOMEONE has it out for you, and reports you w/a doctored screen shot, you, too, will be muted wrongly. Do you want that? Will YOU stand for that treatment?
Let's say they tell you something was said on a character name that YOU DO NOT HAVE, NOR HAVE EVER HAD...what would YOU do? Would you send in a SS w/your current character names and suggest they see that not only do you not have a character w/that name, but request they do some due diligence and look up in the databases to see if you have EVER had that character name? What would YOU expect as fair treatment?
One certain Tech Support person starting w/the letter "S" has not helped my sister, nor had Aubrey. It's as if the BULLIES in the game, the ones who take the time to submit a doctored SS, have CONTROL. And that the tech support people have NO control, not even to look up if that SS was real. *smh* This is an utter atrocity against my now-former sis! Playdom, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!!!! :mad:

I totally agree. Playdom needs to do some housecleaning of their own. Less chicken wing eating, and more paying attention to the tickets sent in maybe. It's disgusting how quick they are to take your money, and how slow they are to fix wrongs - especially their own.

I wanted to inform u that I sometimes have issues when requesting for gifts. My SL friends don't load early enough and sometimes they don't load at all. Also, under the FIGHT tab, intramurals most times during the week do not load at all. I just wished we non VIPs could buy extravagant clothing and accessories with the monies we generate on Campus. Kindly get back to me with solutions. I love SL and would appreciate it more if these hitches were fixed.:rolleyes:

I also have to add that I am prone to seizures and the flashing with the pop ups with the new gifting is actually really bad for me. So PLEASE fix these pop ups!

Just now the "Loading" message when accepting gifts seemed to have disappeared. Needs a reload of browser.
All other still the same.

I have decided to stop playing SL due to customer mistreatment and unfair muting due to a fraudulent screenshot. Even after *I* had sent proof of my *own* accounts, I have yet to have the baning lifted. BBB here I come.

Let's say they tell you something was said on a character name that YOU DO NOT HAVE, NOR HAVE EVER HAD...what would YOU do? Would you send in a SS w/your current character names and suggest they see that not only do you not have a character w/that name, but request they do some due diligence and look up in the databases to see if you have EVER had that character name? What would YOU expect as fair treatment?
One certain Tech Support person starting w/the letter "S" has not helped my sister, nor had Aubrey. It's as if the BULLIES in the game, the ones who take the time to submit a doctored SS, have CONTROL. And that the tech support people have NO control, not even to look up if that SS was real. *smh* This is an utter atrocity against my now-former sis! I totally agree. Playdom needs to do some housecleaning of their own. Less chicken wing eating, and more paying attention to the tickets sent in maybe. It's disgusting how quick they are to take your money, and how slow they are to fix wrongs - especially their own.

There are so many things wrong right now. And #1 is that support (and others) do not actually listen and/orcomprehend what is being said in the tickets that are sent in. Tickets are closed after being "answered" with a canned response that may not even be related to the issue sent in. And you are completely ignored when you ask to be put in contact with management. This is no way to run a support center!

I don't know. I use Paypal to purchase brownie points also and no problems there.
Don't know what "verified" means.
I have had no issues with my VIP renewing since the start.

I am thinking it has to do with being Verified or Not... It is the only thing I can think of that would be the problem.

It is an idea which keeps popping up at me:
1) The timed crafting events: After it disappears, especially the bonus version, it means players will also not be able to spent BP's on them to do them. I think players with timer were hardly urged to use BP's to get the items, simply because PD made them hate the crafting and whole idea so much, that they would not spent BPs anyhow. On the other hand, I know there always are players who at the end of an SA WOULD spend some BPs to get the missing bonuses.
2) For those who did NOT have a timed crafting event, STILL the bonus version disappear. That is simply dumb. A timer = gone. No timer = keep. Is very simple. And also here: BPs will not be used to get these items (no urge to do so, no timer, so no reason to make decisions in that range)
3) PD/Aubrey claim that these variations (having timers or not etc etc) is part of the plan, meaning that some are guinea pigs for something new, others are not. But we never signed up for that anywhere. In other parts of life that is simply called "discrimination" which generally is against the law...

As you know my VIP status was cancelled without my permission because you had trouble taking my money on your end. I was re-signed up yesterday, 2nd July, but consequently missed out on the VIP glam on 1st July. This was not my fault and I hope the missing glam is credited to all my characters. I am not the only one who has been effected and I hope everyone who was effected is credited their missing glam on all characters - after all the exclusive glam is one of the main reasons to be VIP and this is what we are playing for.
Do Playdom plan to credit everyone the missing glam?

I had this happen once. I sent a ticket to support and they gave me the glam I was missing but I had to go from one avi to the next until every avi had it. It took a couple of days (with a weekend in between) and I only had 4 avi's. I think it is dumb VIP isn't set up to give you the glam automatically if you sign up after the 1st since you ARE technically paying for that months TWO glam items.
Aubrey, will they be adding more events to any of the Campus tabs anytime soon? I just recently finished the last one available to me. Also, any word about Merit Kingdom? I would really like to use it and get the glam. The SL App as well! I have never been able to use it and I would REALLY REALLY like to! :(

i will also echo the sentiments of my fellow sl players. Limiting players to 500 gifts sent is a horrible idea. I realize that the team may be trying to fix issues with the gift boxes which affect some players, but to limit all players in this way is a bad bad very oh so horribly bad idea. The game is designed to encourage, nay, even require large houses. Sending out 1 or 2 daily gifts to your entire house will easily exceed this 500 limit, especially with all the events we have to do: To name a few...5-day gifting (which by the way, we still don't like only having the ability to collect for 1 day only), sa, party planner whenever that makes a comeback and if anyone still cares to do it, regular daily fighting, socializing, collecting of whatever suits your fancy for that day, style upgrade...aubrey, 500 gifts a day sent will not make the game better for most players. does anyone in the team seriously even play the game?
also i'll add that these bad ideas still exist within the game and players are still fuming about them. We haven't forgotten or forgiven.
1) 5-day gifts available to send and collect for 24 hrs only. Collecting should be allowed for several days to a week at least. Many of us would prefer mon-fri gifts still but we can't all agree so at the very least allow us all to collect the darn things whenever in the week we can get to them.
2) timer on the sa crafts. Wrong wrong wrong. This is so wrong, the timers need to be removed from crafting items and all the items players have had taken away should be restored into the sa. The sa are already time limited, parts of the sa do not need to be even more restricted.
3) summer fun disappeared, nothing showed up to take it's place.... You told us that the team wouldn't extend summer fun because they couldn't break their precious schedule not even to appease the vast majority of their players. Well, nothing else has shown up. What would have been the harm with leaving summer fun stay in the game for a few days longer, it's not like it would have interrupted anything. It's been 6 days already (if i'm reading the records right) since summer fun disappeared. Those 6 days would have done a lot to allow many more players time to complete the event and show us some small proof that playdom cares about what it's player base thinks.

So many questions, but not so many answers. I have another question. I had a few tickets in for support. Why were 2 of them answered by the same person within the same MINUTE??? I mean, if we really wanted evidence that people in customer service are careless with customers there it is. Canned responses are offensive and very very often inappropriate.

I don't know about #1...I've never paid BPs for a bonus craft, but I don't have the timer. I'm pretty sure that the people selected are completely random (like Aubrey has said). Sometimes I get the random beta new features, sometimes I don't. It's unfair, but I don't think there's any secret calculations behind it.

I heard back today, with a canned response, even though I had written that it had resolved already. And THEN, I got a survey request. Do they REALLY want to know what we think of them??? It's not like they listen on the forums.

For future party-planning events, I would like one extra craft slot and the time needed to craft each food item reduced by 1 hour, that way it would be easier for everyone because we have to make multiples of the items to make the platters

I wouldn't complain... On Myspace SL we can only send 40 or 50 gifts a day and Collect 50 Gifts a day... But I can't remember how many because it has been months since we can send out gifts.

A fix for this feature will be released shortly. Right not, if you're on a browser that doesn't run HTML 5 (like IE), I would stay away from this. MySpace and Tagged users, this feature is having issues with your platforms, so I'd stay away as well-- at least until the team finds a fix around it. The team hopes to have this resolved soon.

Are you using the latest version of Mozilla Firefox as your web browser? Tagged is optimized for use with Mozilla, and some user issues are resolved by switching to the Firefox browser.
You can help us to identify the problem by taking screenshots of the issue as it arises and sending them in a reply to this message."

I had a response there was a fix and had to clean my inbox because the limit is 2k messages only my inbox is empty and its not only me who dont receive gifts/invites.
Its a problem everyone have there and im sure not many have 2k messages in there inbox so i send a screenshot of my empty inbox.

Isn't the limit of messages 2000? I can only have at most 700 messages (includes gifts, gift requests and others) every time I load the game. Now I'm down to 171 messages after accepting the gifts and requests that I need.

Facebook works different then on Tagged. On Tagged we have to get the gifts/invites from our message inbox clicking on a link in the gift or invite message.
The 2k limit to see/receive gifts was ment for the inbox there.

Myspace has a lot of problems... Words Galore still does not work, The Drum game is no longer available. You cant send or receive gifts, you cant send House invites or team invites... I could go on and on.
Plus we are only allowed to receive 50 and send 50 Gifts a day... If I remember correctly, because we haven't been able to send gifts in months.

THIS! I couldn't have said it better myself. Apparently Playdom isn't even reading the Survey's they are sending out. If you did you would know the frustration level of those players that are STILL here, trying to hold out. I keep hoping that Playdom will eventually wake up and realize that you are running off your long time players in droves. it is the friendships and the people that play this game that keep most of us here.
Aubrey, what people want is honesty. We want to know that someone, anyone is listening and cares (ok, cares is a stretch but at least listening). So far that is not the case.
:( As an example, Sasha closed a ticket I had submitted that was NOT resolved. I responded letting her know I was still awaiting a reply 4 days ago and still nothing. If that is Playdom's idea of Customer Service it is no wonder things are such a mess in this game. :(

I have a huge house size but only need 15 people for my venue. I was surprised. I wish they would realize that consistency is key in business! This seems to have been forgotten.
I really like the vintage glam that has been released lately! I'm no longer a VIP so I have no bp but if I did I have three pieces of glam I would be jumping on!
It's nice they finally released the replacement of Summer "Fun". I hope this one is better then the last. I like getting the skill points, Bp and boarders. The glam for the first venue isn't the best but it is FREE! YAY!

Again, I will ask about fighting. I asked AGAIN to get the status on the attack button disappearing even when the person has not gone into the spa. I indicated AGAIN how I had mentioned this in every thread only to be told they will get back to me each time, and finally when there was a response, it was: "It got lost in a sea of posts."
(Of course I also said how funny I found it that the one response Aubrey gave us on July 3 was to tell a person to try emptying their gift center.)

1) THANK YOU for adding the Swag tab to the Venues! Thanks for listening. It was needed, and it helps!
2) THANK YOU for lowering the requirement of sisters needed. While I am still NOT HAPPY that everyone has DIFFERENT SISTER NEEDS, I appreciate the effort to at least TRY it.
3) DO NOT LIKE the time it takes for crafting appetizers, but hey, it's the game, not everything can be rainbows and butterflies.
4) In the same vein as #3, since it DOES take an even number of crafts to complete this event, if would be nice to have FOUR (4) spaces open.
Now, I STILL have a question in regards to the GIFT LIMITS:
The 2000 limit messages included BOTH gifts and requests...

Myspace we are only allowed to send 40 gifts a day and receive 50 gifts a day... But we have not been able to send gifts for months now... Majority of my Housemates still have to have 50 people for the Summer Venue thing...
Plus we can't send House Invites, Seoul Team Invites and Summer Fun Invites...
The Two New Arcade games, The Word and The Drum Game still do not work...
I could go on and on... But these problems have been going on for sometime now and nothing has been fixed.

2) Looks like some suggestions for the Summer Unfun were taken into account, i think there are less paint colors but WHY do we still need SOOO many sisters, with some people stating they actually need more this time? 50 is alot of peolple! and to do it four times and that would be just one toon when we may have 10. This is a bit ridiculous and since you have told us the invites and philanthropy invites bog the system down WHY WOULD THEY STILL REQUIRE SO MANY? PLEASE have the needed sisters lowered! i know quite a few sisters who are not even going to try this time and mostly due to the outrageous number of sisters needed (and on top of that trying to do the SA and timed crafting!UUUGh!)
~~~~~~ 2A) Someone suggested reducing the time to make apps since we have to make so many and then platters too it takes days just for the first 2 platters! could we have an extra app spot added and the times reduced? Not even one item is a 1HR item which is jsut silly since we could atleast get one started and done before changing toons , but i think this was the plan so i have no hope you will change anything but please think about it since it would make alot of people happier and really cost you nothing on the back end.
3) Myspace Arcade tab is a failure Memory drums never worked and is now removed. Words Galore doesnt work and never did
4) Crafting Timers are a bad idea, noone likes them and i would think having your players LIKE your game is an important factor, or maybe its not over there at Playdom and you cant wait until your most dedicated players quit because you think newbies will give you as much money(think again! newbies do not pay it is older players and collectors who cant stop giving you money for the poor service because they have invested alot of time and energy into the game, newbies will not pay you monthly for something they arent invested in)
~~~~4a) Crafting takes to much time and energy especially as we progress to the later ones, can we please think about reducing the number or materials needed?? Like the current one needing 2 of both top materials is alot since you are now rushing us with the timers, we are out of those materials by the time the next comes up, and again im sure this is part of your plan, but it truly makes it less enjoyable for us and alot of people are not even trying some crafts anymore. Also feels like the drop rate has been reduced which further hinders our efforts...it is almost impossible to get Fabric Shears base paint and thread enough to do all these crafts and as much as you think we will just collect more tix and do the events it is not always possible and i personally have gone through over 200 energy and alot of tickets to get Fabric Shears and by then end i had 3 pairs :( that is jsut pathetic so now i wont be trying it on my other toons, what is the point if failure is expected????
5)Tickets, tickets not dropping from events anymore....i think this is such a minute thing it may never have got mentioned but i know i noticed and im sure alot of other players did as well. in the early FUN SA's tickets dropped from the events as you were doing them so it might take four tickets but if you were lucky every few clicks you got one or two back. I think this was a great thing and although it wouldnt give you enough tickets to do much more it was a little kickback for all you were putting in and could help you get one last click done. I know they do not drop AT ALL anymore and it was a big let down when it first happened about 4 or 5 SA's ago, but i think with so many other issues it was never a priority for anyone, but i would like to suggest putting tix back into the swag drop for events and possibly increasing the rate on campus because they drop SOOOO infrequently! Please think about this it would help just a little bit especially since gifting is so messed up for everyone and would be very nice of 'the team' (ALSO the gym bag and headband girl and those intermurral ones are so annoying i think i have over 1000!!! please STOP dropping them in every event so often!! Put more tickets & less useless gym bags and headbands!!!
6) Fight button STILL disappears when attacking, why does it do this, will it ever be fixed??
7)PLEASE start responding to the AWA threads! You start them and never come back or only reply to those with positive feedback, we are not idiots but being treated like one gets old fast. If you had a friend who treated you dirt how much longer would you be friends? Dare i say not very long??? Oh and add to it you regularly give your friend money you dont expect to be paid back and she still treats you like crap, would you keep giving her the money??? AND btw i think the general feeling of you LOCKING threads and never replying to all those at the end of the thred just further irritates those who took the time to respond, so when you finally come in next week to look at this thread i dont think locking it & not responding and starting a fresh one all sunshine & lollipops about glam will be a good idea, please respond to what you have skipped out on all week, dont ignore it, that shows a huge lack of respect for everyone here
8) VIP subscription nonsense....i am not a VIP but i have seen this commented on and am including it for all the VIPs out there (psssst are there still any of you left??) WHAT is going on with the company who does the charging?? People have been cancelled when they dont want to be overcharged to the tune of $900!!! and charged again when they havent been VIP for months, what is going on? Do you honestly think people will leave their CC #'s in the hands of that kjind of company very long? Frankly im surprised more people didnt quit when they started getting random charges. PLAYDOM has not even addressed this! If PD hired that company it is your responsibility to see they are acting responsibly which clearly they are not!!! I am shocked this one hasnt been addressed i hope more people cancel and dont sign up. I know i used a prepaid CC when i did it bc i didnt want my info floating around out there with a company noone knows anyhting about...you NEED to address the payment issues.

I was given to understand, that as Facebook is only allowed for over 13 year olds, so the restrictions in Sorority Life was the same. So why are people getting muted for using abbreviations that may or may not mean a profanity. I really don't think this violates the ToS.
And I'm beginning to agree with general murmuring. They're trying to kill the game. The fun sure as anything is being sucked out of it for me! VIP to be cancelled as soon as the next outfit i've payed for already is released.

But the fact is, other things in the game are in total shambles (gifting issues, people not being able to use IMs properly, etc.), and instead of fixing those things, PD is choosing to babysit a group of people who, according to FB's TOS, should all be over the age of 13, and therefore should be able to handle some "harsh language."
What I'd like to know is, WHY is there this huge focus on censorship? Aubrey, is this policing something that's coming from corporate? Because it sure seems like you guys are intentionally focusing on non-issues, rather than fixing the issues that are TRULY driving the player base away.

Also, I'd like to know why requests for locked venues are coming through in the gift center. If it's locked, there should be no requests coming through for it.

I think from memory, it might be that they've sent out the requests, and then switched to a different toon which hasn't opened that venue?? So on the flip side, if you need to fill your venue, don't switch after sending invites till it's full. Does that seem a likely reason???

Princess Abby, if a sister sends the request for help while on her main character, which has unlocked the venue, then changes to a mini that has NOT unlocked the venue, you will get that notice in your message center. I usually hang onto those messages and try again later to help them out. ♥

A few suggestions for future party planning events:
1. Increase the maximum amount of plates one can receive to 50 per day. With all the food we need to craft, 25 per day isn't enough - you need 4 plates to craft each of the 4-hour item
2. An extra crafting slot for appetizers for a total of 4. People can't seem to get much done with 3 slots
3. Decrease the amount of time needed to craft each food item by 1 hour from 2-3-4-5 to 1-2-3-4
4. A better drop rate on the ingredients
5. Decrease the amount of platters needed in the last 2 venues (the requirements for the first 2 are okay)
Otherwise, the decrease on the amount of sisters needed for each venue and the distribution of paint brushes (plus an opportunity to buy the ones you need outright rather than go for 5BP a spin in a separate gala) is a vast improvement from the last party-planning feature

Iīve got another question : on Facebook my house size got low - is this because i deleted people from my FB friends? but tutorial here on forum saying that I can do that without house size getting low
You can remove people from your Facebook friend's list and they will still be your SL sister, but a lot of people delete SL sisters who they no longer have on FB because they can't send each other gifts, etc.

We continue to wait weeks upon weeks for updates on issues that have been around at least twice as long as our current community manager (majors not giving lower level prizes after you get a higher level prize first; Attack Again button randomly disappearing). We're told to open tickets with Support, but when we do, we get responses that indicate that they haven't bothered to read our ticket at all, or better yet, "INSERT CUSTOMIZED RESPONSE HERE". At this point, can you really blame us for resorting to lowest common denominator language? We aren't being listened to and we know it.
The rant above doesn't even touch upon the recent mutes/bans and how completely non-uniformly the rules around here are applied. How do you guys expect us to know what the rules are when Sasha can't tell two people the same thing in response to the same question?

Meanwhile a curse word name is used in a name on the In Crowd list...it's amazing how non-uniformly the mutes/bans/name changes are...
We are all adults and we can all talk as we feel. What gets me is the people who bring real life issues into the game - talking about "I will bury you like your sis" when a sister dies, or "I hope you get cancer and die, bleep", or even the threat of being reported as a bot for playing the game "3 attacks=bot report". These are the REAL bullies, the REAL issues, the ones who are mass-reporting to make this game THEIRS. I want to leave sooooo badly, but darn it, I WILL NOT LET THE REAL BULLIES WIN! I've played SL for 3 years 11 months. I have invested TONS AND TONS of time & energy into the game. I REFUSE to let this new wave of bullies make us long-time, strongly built players leave the game.
However, besides reporting, them, what else can be done? When they are already bombarded w/mass-reports for nonsense? Such a shame. I am very sad.

Not to sound mean, but I genuinely have no idea what they're paying her for. She barely answers 3 questions a week and then takes off, not to be seen again until next Wednesday, when the pointless process starts all over. Whitney wasn't much better.
I really wish we had a community manager who was actually dedicated enough to stick around and answer questions longer than a few minutes. Even if the answers weren't helpful, at least we'd feel like someone was paying attention. We're really just talking to ourselves in here :/

I agree. Seems that "lunchtime" is all we get...and even then it's about 30 mins of time online. A couple hours ago she told me she was going through the thread to answer, so hopefully we see something today. If not, I will just give up on her. Seems that Technical Support and Community Managers mean nothing to us players. I have actually found the Forums Mods to be MUCH more helpful than ANY tech support person or community manager. *crossing fingers* Hoping things change, but not holding my breath. *sigh*

I have a pm into Aubrey about MY unwarranted mute (that's since been lifted because time expired) because someone sent in an altered screenshot, slapped a name of a "mini" I CURRENTLY NOR HAVE I EVER OWNED in it, and when I talk to support, I get SASHA, who obviously did NOT look at my accounts because if she had, she would have SEEN that I have not now, nor have I ever had, a mini that uses MY REAL NAME, and she CLOSED the ticket to comments. The PM to Aubrey? A WEEK OLD! A WEEK!
The sad thing, Aubrey WAS online earlier, but she's not done ANYTHING. She's not responded to her thread, not to my pm, nothing. She's utterly useless, like the rest of PD and its "support". I really do not believe there is anyone else besides Sasha that works in support at this point.

It is patently obvious that Playdom doesn't care about us as customers, so there is no reason to continue supporting them with my money.

Agreed. It's good to know, though. Honestly I would rather have been told "Sorry, folks, we just don't care enough about our players to give an egg" than to have peeps pretend they care when they don't. Glad hundreds are leaving their money in their pockets now, or frequenting other companies. Because at this point, it is BLATANTLY clear no one in the forums, nor at PD (from tech support to the developers to the exec team) cares.
And, at this point, neither do I. Another UNSATISFIED customer. YAY!! Fairies and Dixie Pust for all!

I echo the rest of the players who have said they are not putting another dime into this company. I LOVE SL as an app, don't get me wrong, its the best fashion game app I have come across, but the company that runs it? That's not even worth my effort to comment on.

I am a user on the tagged/hi5 site and I have done pretty much everything I could think of, I cleared my cache, cookies and my inbox and still I get nothing from sorority life... No gifts or team invites... I can't even add people to my house since the requests to join my house don't go through, plus my invite lists don't show any of my new friends at all. Nothing from sorority life is getting to us.

It's obvious that neither PD nor Aubrey cares about us. I used to spend a ton of money every month on the game also but I quit when customer support pushed me too far. I have tickets that are from APRIL that have not been answered yet, they keep telling me to clear my cache which I have done countless times. If any other business had customer service this poor they would be bankrupt by now.

I honestly can say that in all my eight characters, there is no one color that I have had trouble getting. I actually thought they came through quite well this time.

Yellow is giving me the most trouble this go round too.
And I just did the new BP offer (for both glam) and shock and surprise, it did not appear in my closet. Before you tell me too Aubrey, I cleared my cache to no avail and then opened a support ticket. Not happy right now...

I just wanted to say how upsetting it is that all my Rock the Boat progress has been reset and I am unable to start all over seeing as all the events are at diamond where I left them last, go figure.
I logged in today to see that I have lost a boarder. My SA achievements are all missing except three of them and my summer fun achievement is at 0.

Just in case you do decide to join us again can you explain the "business reason" that you guys are now releasing event mastery glam in the 2 BP galas. First it was the Las Vegas dress and now this new 2BP gala has 2 mastery items. The swimsuit and the cycle outfit.... the cycle outfit is the mastery reward for the Run for National Sorority President... the most difficult event to master in the game......... I dare you to try and convince me that adding mastery items is anything more than more sloppy work from the development "team" :mad:

Aubrey this game was so dirty to me last night I cant even descibe how angry I was and still am.
1st I log on to collect my appetizers, 2 of which were the platters. I was on the Midnight Buffet event. I get there and was reset back to the beginning and my appetizers were gone and like I said 2 of them were the full platters so that was a couple days wasted and tons of ingredients and paper plates. I cant progress any further with it because the decor events are diamond and cant get the prize from them again. Over a week wasted and how many paint brushes since I only needed 1 more pink on the Midnight Buffet event and had already painted with all my others.
2nd, I go in to Seoul to collect the 4 shoelace bracelets I had been crafting and they are gone, nothing being crafted and all of my Won are gone, 104,000 and some change. Not to mention all the money and materials it took me to craft the 4 shoelace bracelets
3rd I spin the Seoul Casino and spin 3 clouds which should have awarded me 54 BP's and only gave me 24. And yes I know for a fact I was only awarded 24, I checked the housemom page and refreshed.
What is going on with this game? Why did it decide to hate me last night?

Very nice to see you back Aubrey glad you had time to add that dig at the end.....do you think waiting months on end is not patient enough?? Really? good thing you managed to insult us since we waited over a week for you to even respond, you didn't start a new thread so blew this week too and ignored our posts when you saw them, but somehow in your mind we are not 'practicing patience'????
Have you ever food shopped? If you were in line and the checker let someone go ahead of you because they only had one thing and lets say they were elderly, im sure you wouldnt mind to much, then the checker does it again but its a kid rushing to school, ok maybe your fine again, but if this happened 52 more times and the checker never even asked you or spoke to you would saying something to the checker be soo wrong? Would you be at fault for not having enough patience? or would it be your right to say "Excuse me, im sorry, but i have been here 5 hours and 54 people already went ahead of me and i have places to be too, can you please stop letting people in front of me??" Maybe you wouldnt say that exactly and you werent there literally 5 hours or 51 people went ahead of you, but i hope you get the point, we have been more than patient and get the same junk responses, or no response like this last week(when now there are timers on everything things are even MORE time sensitive).
If we got better customer service i think we all would not mind a few things getting fixed before our issue. The problem is some issues are never being fixed and not addressed at all. So if you want patience start doing something beneficial for us!!
And starting off your return with a slap in our faces that we are not "practicing patience" which seems to be your new way to say "stop waiting weeks and weeks and getting impatient, just keep waiting!!" Apparently we must not be patient enough, you know 4 months is not good enough we should shut our traps and keep waiting for nothing to happen (yet you ask to be told when things go wrong, so go figure that one out)
I personally think we have alot of patience, im sorry you dont, but maybe if you can find it in your heart to respond more or atleast acknowledge us and the job you have, we wouldnt be so impatient? And insulting people with a backhanded compliment is pretty HS, like "WOW i love that dress on you it actually makes your butt look small!" What a nice compliment that was.....how sweet of you Aubrey dear!!!! ;)

Nearing the end of the workday...hoping to see something before we have to "be patient" for yet another weekend.
What are your other duties? Community Manager seemed to me to be relaying our issues in game to the team, then telling us what they say. Since we haven't seen you pop in for more than an hour or less a day, and not even answering the questions you asked us to ask here, I'm curious as to how the last 2 weeks have been too busy to be the SL forum's CM. Are you the CM for ALL PD games? Is the forum only 5% of your duties? For us players, we assume your CM duties are specifically for SL and your entire 40 hour work week is devoted to spending time here in the forums and relaying information. So when we don't see you, we think you are ignoring us. Maybe we would be more patient and understanding if we understood what your responsibilities are, and whether being the CM for SL forums is just a small part of your overall job?

You know what guys? Aubrey's right. We SHOULD be more patient. We're being unreasonable, wanting better customer support and fixes for major problems in the game. After all, it's not like we've been waiting for decent answers for months on end, or been screwed over again and again. We should just sit down and be quiet and stop pestering her for attention. It's not like answering questions here is her JOB or anything.

Have you ever food shopped? If you were in line and the checker let someone go ahead of you because they only had one thing and lets say they were elderly, im sure you wouldnt mind to much, then the checker does it again but its a kid rushing to school, ok maybe your fine again, but if this happened 52 more times and the checker never even asked you or spoke to you would saying something to the checker be soo wrong? Would you be at fault for not having enough patience? or would it be your right to say "Excuse me, im sorry, but i have been here 5 hours and 54 people already went ahead of me and i have places to be too, can you please stop letting people in front of me??" Maybe you wouldnt say that exactly and you werent there literally 5 hours or 51 people went ahead of you, but i hope you get the point, we have been more than patient and get the same junk responses, or no response like this last week(when now there are timers on everything things are even MORE time sensitive).
If we got better customer service i think we all would not mind a few things getting fixed before our issue. The problem is some issues are never being fixed and not addressed at all. So if you want patience start doing something beneficial for us!!
And starting off your return with a slap in our faces that we are not "practicing patience" which seems to be your new way to say "stop waiting weeks and weeks and getting impatient, just keep waiting!!" Apparently we must not be patient enough, you know 4 months is not good enough we should shut our traps and keep waiting for nothing to happen (yet you ask to be told when things go wrong, so go figure that one out)
I personally think we have alot of patience, im sorry you dont, but maybe if you can find it in your heart to respond more or atleast acknowledge us and the job you have, we wouldnt be so impatient? And insulting people with a backhanded compliment is pretty HS, like "WOW i love that dress on you it actually makes your butt look small!" What a nice compliment that was.....how sweet of you Aubrey dear!!!! ;)
MTE. A sly little insult like that is not only extremely unprofessional, but also juvenile. Nice to see that they still have the nerve to insult their longtime, paying customers after all we've suffered through with this pathetic excuse for a company. I'd have quit a long time ago if I weren't so addicted to the game. It's sad, really, that such a good game has to be owned by such a horrible company. All we ask is basic respect and support and we can't even get that.

Its hard to be patient knowing that the Rock the Boat will be over soon and I have no way to complete it now unless they fix it.

I cant recieve gifts either have been unable to for a month or more. Have three accounts and it works on none of them.

I'll let the team know about the feedback on the release rate. The idea of balanced gameplay varies, so the more feedback the better. Also, just a reminder, putting these limits was in no way meant to "limit" players or punish them, or make things less fun. The team discovered that the rate of gifting was overwhelming our systems, and therefore gifts, invites, requests, etc... were getting lost in transit. A limit to sending/receiving/having gifts was long overdue. You'll find that the majority of fb games have these. It's time we adapt. :)
If you look at the IC list for best gifter these days, you'll see that the people on that list send tens of thousands of gifts per week (Mimi sent over 5 times that much). I suppose the limiting is PD's way of stopping the bots like SLH, but that's just my theory
Exactly! As for bots and SLH and the rest of that junk, the team is continuing to investigate all reported users. Furthermore, a note to everyone, we're discovering that previous or current bot/cheat users are either having their accounts hacked or their stats/skills manipulated and their gifts disappearing. First and obvious solution, DON'T CHEAT and don't purchase "Sorority Life related products" outside of SL/PD. The team continues its investigation and looks to improve security, but for now I'd suggest re-reading the Terms of Service and Rules of Conduct if you plan on continuing to use or buy these third party products.

500 gifts a day - is this per avatar(mini) or total per account? or is it per person, as in I can send 500 gifts to each person in my house? This needs further explanation.
Also, Aubrey, (this is not directed at you - but if you would pass this along to the powers that be, I would appreciate it). I would like to point out that PD is the one who created the In-Crowd list of Best Gifter, so they only have themselves to blame!
The limit is 500 gifts/invites/requests per account. Sorry, should've been more specific. As for your comment on the "Best Gifter" list, I guess the team/PD has themselves to blame. Now we're making a change to improve the performance of the game. It's a solution, and we know that not everyone is happy with it. But it makes the game playable. We're sorry if it's an inconvenience that you, but having a basic gameplay feature functioning properly is important. It's time to adapt. ;)
I have noticed that a lot of people who use PayPal as payment for VIP and BP's have been getting their transactions cancelled and their VIP memberships cancelled.
What is going on with PayPal and Playdom?
This is due to an issue with our third party billing service and Paypal. PayPal users, please make sure that you're verified users. PayPal is going through a few changes, and if you have any other VIP questions, contact support since everyone's account details are unique. They can provide you more details and help you out with billing issues.

If it's in violation of the TOS/Rules of Conduct (http://www.playdom.com/termsofservice) (i.e. derogatory, racist, offensive, profanity, etc...), it's probably why you're getting banned, suspended, or having your name changed.

Also, the pay table for the Seoul Casino does not match how it pays out.

Can you please check into why the invite/gift list does not show all our sisters? It shows people that are on Facebook but not even playing the game and NOT in my house, so why can't it show my entire house?

The team discovered a few days ago that this issue is actually a visual display error. The BPs you win are actually being rewarded, it's just not being shown in the casino. If you file a ticket with Support, they can show you the number of BPs rewarded, spent, the number of attempts, etc... You can follow the updates on this issue here (http://forum.playdom.com/showthread.php?138563-Seoul-casino-not-awarding-prizes).
As for the pay table in Seoul, that's been updated and it's reflecting the correct prize.
For those that are hitting the jackpot, my suggestion is that if there is an issue, send a screenshot that shows that you won and that also shows your name and your avi. The team has been receiving a lot of similar screenshots from people trying to get credited for a reward that they didn't earn, so please make it worth your time and have the proof prepared.
