There has been no preview of a new chapter posted at all. Are we still getting a new chapter? or has it been delayed a day or so?
Please let us know. I am an admin in 2 groups and they want to know.
Thanks.

We've had the usual notification of items expiring. I'd guess late Thursday or Friady.

Not sure when exactly but if you look at the very last post it shows what's going to be retired this time around:

What's with the new stuff being almost worthless rep-wise? The collection item isn't upgradable and it's worth 3140 for a 2x2 (where are we supposed to put it?) item, or 785 rep per square. You'd have to go back to chapter 31 and the safari van to get something worth so little. I upgraded the Cawdor Star to level 3 for the quest and now it's at 3110 rep, or 777.5 per square. For it to be over 1000/square I'd have to upgrade it to level 5 but that's not going to happen because they, in their infinite wisdom, decided to make these things use so many more parts to be upgraded. I can upgrade something else (from a lower chapter!) for a lot more gain for less work. Work smarter, not harder after all. I don't know how high the upgrade for that 3 day thing takes but at the beginning it's only worth 622.2/square. The wonder, which I still think should be worth a whole lot more than anything we can buy, isn't much better. Everything is overpriced, huge, and really bad with rep. Did they read our comments and decide to do the opposite? That seems to be how most Facebook games work, and then they wonder why this industry is really struggling.

The quest list is posted - see my sig for the link - and the item spreadsheet is updated also.
Nobody noticed that there is a 3 day wait on the Oban Waterfront? I expected more comment.

Whilst we'd all like higher rep, I think nearly all decorations need to be at level 5 to be over a thousand per square. The new 2x1 artifact is 2,200 rep, whilst the previous 2x1 was 1,890 rep. There is always a progressing in rep.

I think it's being discussed in another thread Jan.

I really enjoy the Glamis Staircase scene with its ghosts and moving eyes. The real castle is said to be haunted. The Highland Games and Royal Mile scenes are very nice, too.
I did open the Premium scene. And while I like Nessie in the garden, I was disappointed in the scene. I would have liked to have had something a little classier, less trashy, to play. Oh, well.
And yes, I'm intrigued by the, ahem, current cast of characters.
It looks like the Dunmore Pineapples from ch. 41 will be the highest rep for a little bit longer. At L5, they are 4830 for a 2x1, or 2415 per square.

Here is my current Scotland I am just posting so people can get a look this week's premium items. Because they added 4 for the crystal chapter they seem to be retiring one poor item a week early this week's victim was the Highland Cattle. Anyways....
Nessie is the premium scene item, she is animated, the level 5 animation is shown she goes up and down in the water. Upgraded rp is 11,290.
The silver building with the flags is in front that looks a bit like a spaceship is the upgraded Clyde Auditorium, fully upgrade rp is 10,460.
Next is the Highland Dancers, they do dance a jig, pretty nice item. 2620 rp.
Next to them is the Scottish Terriers, they are animated and come with a little terrier roamer wearing a cap (tam). They upgrade to 3070 rp.
Sorry for the big image. I really like a lot of the items with this area. I also like the scenes this week. : )

When the ivy tower/wall came out, I literally edged my whole garden with them; the level 5 rep was great. I just finished leveling up the whole front edge of my garden, and was ready to "turn the corner" when the Dolmabache Tower came out. I sold off three walls worth of the ivy towers/walls and replaced them with the Dol. towers. I'm almost halfway up the right side wall of leveling them up to their fullest. I have a solid 1.5 million rep so I do have to "add" storage items to open new chapters, but I don't have to do a lot to get the new chapters to open. It took me about an hour yesterday to remove some of my low rep stuff (my Oregon/Washington area is mostly the noble fir and my Iowa/Indiana area is mostly apple trees and pumpkin/corn/tomato plants) etc. I also have 40 devoted squares to an American flag that comes out when I need to open a new chapter. Anyways, I remove the low rep and a few walkways, put in all the high rep stuff I have in storage, open the chapter and then reverse the whole process. I probably could have saved myself some time yesterday if I had used the last grid expansion, but right now I really don't need it. Depending on how many more Dol. towers I can upgrade before the next chapter will decide if I use the expansion then.

It happened again, I went to close the box regarding a star challenge, and my mouse cursor jumped and I ended up spending TWELVE gold for nothing!! That is the STUPIDEST button, 12 gold to skip a challenge that you have to do anyway! I feel ripped off! Why can't there be a prompt before they take our gold so accidents don't happen! I play the Ipad version, and it has happened on that tiny screen as well!!

Yes, the ghosts in this chapter are much more obvious than the ones in the previous chapter. LOL.
This time there'd have been no doubt that they were there, and we weren't just humoring Lulu.

Ah, yes, very true. I didn't go back but a chapter or two.
These will certainly add a lot of rep to the garden but I'm gonna work with the pineapples for now. Less materials to have to manage.

Crazy - that is a great point - less materials to upgrade to good rep. And I think the building is pretty. I might have to re-think my garden which is a junkpile at this point!

Actually I like the pineapple houses better for rep 2415 per square upgraded as they require half the materials needed to upgrade! The Oban Waterfront, while huge, upgrades to 15950 or 1772 per square with even less materials than a 2x1. The Oban waterfront has better rep than most of our 3x3 wonders.
Thanks for posting picture of Nessy. I must have that now!!!

I'll be able to convert a big chunk of my Cagsawa ruins and Masaai huts to whiteprints, too. It's more economical to convert them to 7-9 whiteprints (1125 each to buy) than to sell them for around 2200.
BTW, the Oban waterfronts are a whopping 49 whiteprints!

I need to stop coming here. It's making me buy more gold! :p
I am so loving Scotland! I was hoping part two would give us drummers to go with the bagpipers, so my Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo would be a bit more authentic. So, truly, I wouldn't hate having Scotland: Part III. 8-}
This really is my favourite forum thread. I'm in awe of the talent seen here! Hats off to all y'all wondermous gardeners who share your lovelies with the rest of us clods. :D
EDIT: Well, duh! This isn't the Show Us Your Gardens thread, which is actually my favourite and is full of wondermously talented gardeners.

I finally unlocked the last scene of Chapter 42, played through it, and my screen froze after I saw my score and X'd out of it. THE REST OF THE STORYLINE DIDN'T SHOW UP and I had to refresh the page. Of course when I did that, the storyline didn't show up again. How do I find out what I missed???? Argh!

Go into the storyline panel where you would normally select a scene to play. At the top right is a book icon. Click on that. Then scroll down to the chapter you want (42?) and then click on the scene you want to read about.

I've been over at the Bug forum for so long, I didn't realize that some people are still getting Quests and a story line. I'm not going to put any more buildings in my garden until they acknowledge all the ones from 39-41 and give me my wonders. Any idea what happens when we run out of time for the crystal chapter but hadn't been able to play since the 3rd day? Do they give us an extention once they get the problem fixed?
